Grace after Meals - Birkat HaMazon - Jewish Wedding Canopy (Chupah) for just $44.95 Digital Reproduction *Unframed 8.3" x 11.8" 21.0 x 29.8 cm This exquisite flowing design was created for the wedding of Ellen’s daughter. The delicate, graceful flowers, along with the seven species (grape, fig, pomegranate, olive, date, wheat and barley), form the shape of a beautiful wedding canopy.Jerusalem rebuilt fills this wine goblet, as even during our happiest moments, we remember Jerusalem, placing the memory of her destruction above all. The “seven blessings,” recited for the Bride and Groom under the wedding canopy, are also inscribed here- the blessing over wine, symbolizing joy and celebration, being one of them. “And then, when you have eaten and are satisfied, bless G-d for the good land which He has given you.”Deuteronomy 8:10. This Biblical commandment is the basis for the four blessings that compose the Grace recited after eating bread. The first three are scripturally commanded, while the fourth was instituted by the sages.Birkat HaZan: The Blessing of Nourishment- written by Moses. The blessing of nourishment expresses of our conviction that G-d gives individual attention to every single soul- compassionately filling present and future needs.Birkat HaAretz: Blessing the Land- written by Joshua. Fulfilling the promise to our Forefathers, the Heritage of the Land of Israel is passed to Am Yisrael. We thank G-d for the fulfillment of His promise after our redemption from slavery to freedom. We remember the covenant of circumcision-“brit-milah,” preserved by Abraham and his descendents- an everlasting reminder that G-d is forever the One and Only G-d. This covenant- “brit” -is the basic condition for our possession of the Promised Land.Boneh Yerushalayim: Build Jerusalem- composed in stages by David and Solomon. This is a prayer for continued peace in The Land. Following the destruction of the Temple and heartbreaking exile, the blessing was modified to include a supplication to return to the Land, the Davidic line and the rebuilt Temple. HaTov V’haMaitiv: Who is Good and Does Good- composed by the court of Rabban Gamliel the Elder in Yavneh: We thank G-d for the past, but also express our thanks for the goodness that He extends to us on a constant daily basis.Grace after Meals concludes with: “G-d will give might to his people; G-d will bless His people with peace.” – “B’Shalom.” As the Tosfot Yom Tov taught: “G-d wishes to give might and strength to His people and what did He do? He blessed them with Peace, as all blessings in the world cannot be fulfilled if there is no peace.” (Uktzim 3:12). Amen.

Those who sow in tears will reap with joy…”Outlining the Star are 3 spiritual quotes:Zaccaria 8:3, written once, represents the power of the One and only G-d: "Thus says the L-rd; I have returned to Zion and will live in the midst of Jerusalem,…The City of Truth,…The Holy Mountain."Psalms 27:4 written once: "One thing I ask from the L-rd, …: That I may dwell in the House of the L-rd all the days of my life. To behold the pleasantness of the L-rd and meditate in His Temple."A verse from Maimonides Principles: “Ani Ma'amin:”- “I Believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah. Song Of Solomon - The Rose of Sharon for just $49.95 *Unframed 12.6" x 15.0" 32.0 x 38.0 cm The love verses of Song of Solomon or as it is also know, Song of Songs, illuminate the relationship between G-d and His people, Israel. A tender bud blooms into a radiant, exquisite rose symbolizing this complete and perfect love, while two doves, sculpted in Hebrew micro calligraphy, soar heavenward above the exquisite Rose of Sharon. The famous verse, “I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine” forms the delicate rose, tenderly held together by both love birds. This love carries the doves as much as the doves lift the love filled rose. The verse is repeated, intricately woven, to create the two dainty roses embellishing the bottom right corner of the picture. The entire book of Song of Solomon has been written to create this spiritually moving image.
Tefillin for just $49.95 Digital Reproduction *Unframed 12.6" x 15.0" 32.0 x 38.0 cm Tefillin Phylactery, called Tefillin in Hebrew, are described a sign, an “ote,” of the covenant between G-d and Israel. Each set of Tefillin has 2 main parts: the head-phylactery, known as the “shel rosh” a box with its leather strap; the arm phylactery, or “shel yad” a box with its corresponding strap. Both small boxes contain four hand written biblical passages on parchment: Exodus 13:1-10, 11-16; Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 11:13-21The “shel yad” box is bound with its leather strap to the forearm, positioned parallel to the heart, directing our heart and emotions to G-d’s service. By crowning our head with the “shel rosh”, we dedicate our intellect and thoughts to G-d. Thirteen is when a young man reaches the age of accountability for G-d’s commandments and begins donning Tefillin during morning prayers.Using micro calligraphy, Ellen Miller Braun’s thought-provoking design repeats each of these four Torah portions four times. The words form the outline of the Shel Rosh and Shel Yad and fill the front of the Tefillin’s black straps. The gray backs of the straps are filled with the blessings, recitations and declaration of intent that are recited when donning Tefillin. Using flowing red ink, Ellen repeats the words “Shel Rosh” filling the head phylactery box, then uses the words “Shel Yad” filling the arm phylactery box. This entire piece is framed and embraced by the prayer that is the essential core of Judaism: “She’ma Israel HaShem Elokeinu, HaShem Echad” (Hear, O Israel: HaShem is our G-d, HaShem is One.) Boldly inscribed at the bottom center of the frame is the word “Tefillin.” This piece flows with beauty and grace, as well as being a source of strength and spirituality. In gematria, Jewish numerology, the letter “dalet”, the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, equals the number four. The word “dalet/delet” means door. Your prayers open a personal doorway to G-d. With donning Tefillin, with its 4 internal Torah portions, and daily prayer, you have the opportunity to open a door between yourself and The Holy One Blessed Be He. May all of your prayers be answered.
