Sometimes when I’m trying to think of new things I go to the internet for inspiration. I look at the work of geniuses that create works of art and publish them online for the world to enjoy them.

I have this very serious belief a la Jaden Smith, that I, as a 21st century young adult should BUILD on the work of the people before me. Because it’s true, why should I lose my time and effort building a sidewalk when I could be spending my time inventing the hoverboard for the sidewalk to be more enjoyable..

But I came upon a lot of stops looking for inspiration.

“That is too small”

“That lacks depth”

“I don’t even know how that pepe is still visible”

The more I searched the more I found out what I was actually looking for, and not only that but I found out, it hadn’t been made yet. It conceived in my mind and only I could bring it to life.

Don’t be so hard when your art,  your story or your design isn’t quite what you picture in your mind. Someday I’ll be searching for it so I can get inspired.

Every time I walk I feel like my legs are huge stomps. Like an oak tree that was cut down to maybe 3 feet, but it’s width remains glorious.

They feel like tree trunks. And with every step I demolish the ground beneath me.

Stomp after stomp I manage to lift one trunk and place it ungracefully on the tile floor.

I lift the other, and the blood goes surging. Swimming through the bark that is my lower body. Quenching the thirst my feet scream silently.

It takes seconds.

And I’m back. Waiting for the villages to be rampaged again. Waiting for the rush of water in my empty stream. Dreaming about bigger jungles with more green.

me: babe I have something very important to ask you

me: *gets down on one knee*

me: *pulls out ring box*

gf: omg..............

me: *takes magnifying glass out of ring box*

You know, everyone seems like a normal kid until they commit the act of murder. 

“A neighbor in Eastover, Debra Scott, 50, said that she had seen Mr. Roof walking to and from a nearby market but that she knew very little about him or anyone else who might live in his house. She described the house as “very quiet” and said Mr. Roof “seemed like a normal kid.”

But Ms. Scott, who is black, said she was “scared to death” after hearing news reports that Mr. Roof wanted to kill black people. “My concern is that he’s saying he’s out to kill black people,” she said, unaware that he had been arrested. “We’re the closest ones to him.””

It irks me to know that for a nation that proclaims EQUALITY and FREEDOM we are SO FAR from that truth.

You can’t be black, you can’t go to church, you can’t go to the movies, you can’t board a plane, you can’t even go to school without the unbelievable FEAR that you might not get to come back home.

Every time I sit at a movie theater my eyes scan every single one person that come in, I sit closest to the emergency exit, because I might be dead within the next 30 minutes.

I’m afraid of the white kid with the pale face at a 7/11 because I know  “his kind.” Places of worship tainted with innocent blood.

Extremists that have let evil overtake them. 

Who is to blame?? Want to point a huge finger to the sky? Wanna look at the other side of the world and think we’re not as bad as they are??  IT IS SO EASY TO THINK WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE INHUMANE ACTS. IT IS SO EASY TO THINK YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME, THAT I AM NOT TO BLAME. THAT AS A NATION WE HAVE FAILED TO PROVIDE FREEDOM AND EQUALITY TO EVERYONE.
