“He’s definitely going to need a lot more clothes. Although, not too many, since he will just grow out of them rather quickly. Great, so it’s settled, then. We’re going shopping. Oh, yes, of course. Lunch is a must. Have you had any cravings lately? Or are you past that phase?”

“That’s true. And I’m sure that the baby—Liam, I mean, wouldn’t want to just hang around all day in diapers. I haven’t really had any cravings lately, just a lot of me being hungry. Though, I guess that’s not much different than before all of this. We should just go before I decide not to go.”

“I’m glad you agree. I’m also glad now that we have a name to give him, other than baby; Liam Alexander. It has a nice ring to it. Have you gotten everything that he’ll need, yet? We could go shopping for him. I’ve seen some of the things modern people create for babies, and they are extraordinary.”

“Exactly. Now we can just call him Liam. I have most of the big stuff, like a crib and a changing table... But other than that I have a onesie I bought him months ago. You know I really can’t pass up a shopping trip. Now you have me interested in what new, modern things they have for babies. We’ll also have to get lunch because I know I’m going to be hungry soon.”

“Not only one name but you have to give him a middle name as well. Hmm… I kind of like combining Liam and Alexander, if I’m quite honest. Liam Alexander Beast. That is, of course, if you plan to give him your last name, which I think you should.”

“That’s true... I quite like Liam Alexander, especially since it uses the names I already like. I think I will give him my last name. I think it would just be wrong to give him any other name, anyway. Certainly not his father’s.”

“Well, you’re bringing a tiny human into the world. Naming them is probably one of the hardest parts. You don’t want to set them up to be teased for the majority of their life, but also, you want a name that suits their personality before you’re sure of what it is. Anyway… Let me hear your choices.”

“No, I definitely don’t want any teasing. I just figured I would come up with a name and that would be it. I didn’t think I’d have so many options... Alright, I have Henry, Eliott, Alexander, or Liam. What do you think?”

William laughed, thinking about Elizabeth’s comment. He would most definitely be the fun one, and could picture himself having a rather lax parenting style. “I think that is pretty accurate.” When she mentioned not being the maternal type, he sighed. “I think everyone thinks that about themselves at one point or another. Even men think that they aren’t parent material sometimes, but I guarantee your views will likely change. Well, I guess that begs the question if she wants to be with you as well. I’m glad that you have her to lean on, at least. Of course, you have Bennett, Emily and I as well, but I’m sure it’s not the same.”

“I didn’t even get that far yet,” Emily laughed, realizing their gifts were a little different. “He did! Will can’t keep a secret for the life of him- not about the baby, anyway.” She really didn’t mind that Will had told Elizabeth, she just found it funny that he wasted no time about it. “Wow– thank you,” she smiled as she sifted through the basket. “We haven’t gotten anything yet for him. Here- do you know what you’re having?” She nodded and started to fill the tea kettle with water, setting it on the stove. 

“I’m fine,” Emily gave Elizabeth a small smile, hoping it wasn’t too obvious that she wasn’t feeling well. It probably was, but she didn’t want anyone worrying. “You did? That’s really nice– I have a few things for you, too.” She lead them inside, walking to the closet to grab a few of the things she’d gotten for Elizabeth and setting the boxes on the counter. “Do you want anything to drink?”
