They had spent all day filming the mini bios for the gamemakers. It was long, arduous work and incredibly dull. If it hadn't been for her brother, she would've fallen asleep. There were angles to work and action to follow, just the sitting and talking. The day was coming to a close and the last gamemaker was droning on about mutts or plants, or something, she wasn't paying attention until Cressida said cut.

The packing up was quick, she had the camera dismantled and the cables coiled while the gamemaker collected his things, everything but his jacket. Castor shrugged, not caring either way. So with a roll of her eyes, she approached the gamemaker, tapping him on the shoulder.

just a warning; the term 'genderbent' is considered transphobic and insensitive in some communities because of reasons so maybe it would be more sensitive to say like "rule 63 pollux" because that means the same thing and idk. just idk.

I’ve never known anyone who was trans to be offended by the term, and I have a few trans friends in real life who aren't offended by the term because I asked, but if it bothers you, I’m happy to change it on my blog page. As for the promo graphic, I don’t have the time to remake it but if I make a new one in the future, I’ll keep that in mind.

Her fingers made the signs that were so familiar to her but not to anyone else. Only Castor would understand her but he wasn't here. Frustration grew as everyone looked at her with clueless expressions. Where was her pen and paper? They had filmed footage in the Districts that would slot in perfectly with their ideas, except no one would listen.

The meeting came to a close without much progress and as she grabbed her backpack, she spotted her brother. With a frown on her face, she waved her hands to get his attention before signing at him.

She stared a few moments too long, probably, wondering what had happened in this…kind…woman’s life to keep her so sincere despite what had happened to her. Blythe wished to be several different types of people, but she would not wish the fate of an Avox on anyone. Besides Snow, maybe. Considering she could write, Blythe figured she could read and it wasn’t an unkind assumption to make. "That stack over there?" Blythe pointed to a stack of about ten folders to Pollux’s left. “Could you alphabetize it to last name?”

She nodded quickly, glad she could be useful in anyway.

It was easy for her to like Blythe. The victor didn't look down on her like she was a disease or a criminal. She also didn't talk down to her or treat her any differently as many did. Not having a tongue might have been a disability but she liked to be kept busy. All her years in the tunnel had left her with a need to keep occupied.

Instead of writing her agreement, Pollux gave Blythe a thumbs up and moved to collect the folders. Alphabetizing was easy. It seemed like such a small, easy thing but Pollux felt happy because it was normal.

but castor! kevin smith is great film maker. yes, it's dick and fart jokes but are you telling me they wouldn't have tried putting money together and filming an independent flick with their friends in a video store that they worked in? plus the dialogue is always intelligent but full of crass and dick and fart jokes.
