“I think I’m gonna chil with Cap, he’s gotta pretty cool team going and I’m not exactly sure the Brotherhood really wants me around anymore.”

“Really? I didn’t know Cap had his own team. What is it?” Elia canted her head to the side, nudging her shoulder lightly. “Hey, that’s not it. You know I’d love to have you around. It’s just... things are difficult right now. Hell, I don’t even know what’s going on.”

“Wait, you’ve never seen Tommy Boy?  What the hell is wrong with you?  But right, right,” he said, watching the force field curiously.  “Well, I’m not going to try and talk her out of it again.  I think the more people tell her not to do it, the more she wants to.  She’s stubborn as hell; it runs in the family, apparently.  But — uh, if either of you change your minds the Young Avengers are kinda underground, strictly speaking, but we’d be happy to have you.”

“Hey, don’t chastise me. I can’t be blamed for something I didn’t even know existed, lame-o.” Elia squinted her eyes, mentally guiding the force field to levitate above her open palm. “And I’m just as stubborn if not more -- especially if it comes to her safety. But yeah, I’ll definitely be giving that a thought... if things take a turn for the worst. I’ll have to speak to Emma about it, though.”

I thought about it but…no, I’m not going to do it. I’m guessing you aren’t either?

I’m glad to hear it. And yeah, I’m definitely not registering. I just hope... this whole mess is fixed soon before anyone else gets hurt, you know?

“Isn’t that what you call it when someone just walks around naked?”

"Oh, I was talking about make-up. But sure, that works too. Whatever makes you happy, lady.”

“Life is cruel. Don’t we all know that just well?”

“A little too well for my liking.”

“What? No way I’m falling for that. Besides, finders keepers.” 

“Are you seriously gonna steal from me? God, I can’t believe you’d do that to one of Dom’s friends.”

“Are you gonna go join my grandpa? I don’t exactly know if I’m going to….”

“I’m on whatever side Emma’s on. But... I don’t know, I’ve been thinking about joining another group. I think I could actually make a difference there.”

“Very well, thank you.  And how are you?”

“Worried, I guess,” she shrugged.  “Hey, can I ask you something?  It’s about Lilith.”

“I dare you,” Lulu replied as her face turned serious. She focused on hearing the ginger’s reply and frowned when she mouthed the last sentence. She agreed and nodded, but she didn’t want to go deeper into that whole topic. “You’re a mutant?” She asked in surprise.

“Absolutely not!  If you’re daring me to eat the Devil’s food then my dare won’t be very nice,” she warned, picking up the cookie. “...Well, yeah,” she looked up curiously at her, raising an eyebrow. “Are you?”

Fine, then I’m going ta start callin’ ya Ellie. Or maybe El? No, I mean I’ve heard of it, I just never watched it.

As long as I get to call you Big G, I don’t mind. Why not? It’s a funny show about a nerdy kid. So... think of Beast minus all the hair.

“Yeah, yeah, don’t be a baby, Redder. Hold on,” Elia grabbed the sign and held it out in front of her. “I mean, come on.  If you’re trying to get a rise outta him then go with something like...  Like, I dunno, ‘Eye hate Cyclops’?”

Deadpool held up a sign he had made, jumping up and down to try and get someone’s attention. On the sign, in red paint read ‘God hates Scott Summers.’

“True, true,” Larissa agreed, laughing a little.  “I’ll have to retire the baby’s blood technique.  Maybe botox is the way, hmm.”

“Don’t worry about it too much.  You don’t have that many wrinkles anyway.  Just leave it... uh, shit, what’s the word?  Au naturale?”

“First of all, that’s like my third favorite movie.  We should watch it sometime.  Every time he drops those M&Ms into the engine I almost pee myself.”  He tossed her a pack of the Poptarts and shrugged.  “Figure we should talk about Lilith.  She seemed pretty determined to join Magneto.  Obviously, I can’t tell her what to do, and I can’t tell you what to do either, but just…ya know, try and look out for her, okay?  I don’t trust Erik.”

“...I didn’t even know that was a movie. But yeah, why not?” Elia raised a hand, containing the Poptart in a small force field. “Actually, that’s been worrying me too. I really don’t want her to join, especially now that things have gotten so out of control.”
