Caps are hand dyed with textile paint.

Patchwork pants.

Bought these pants in 2018 in a thrift shop for €2

They used to be black.

In 2020 I decided to bleach them

Then dye them purple…

Which obviously made the fabric very fragile and they started to tear..

I wore them so so much they were completely falling apart at one point.

But I loved them too much to toss them (also… don’t want to waste any clothing)

So just now I reworked them with scraps from two other thrift finds and I can wear them again.

I will keep reworking them so I can keep wearing them.

HAT IS A MESS.

The HAT’S A MESS caps are a representation of what my head feels like at times. Dealing with the extreme darkness that comes with BPD sometimes can be so chaotic and numbing at the same time. It’s like living in constant contradiction; a constant battle I’m having with myself. I tried capturing these feelings in my caps.
