Ramblings of an Insomniac

Yesterday was basically an 18 hour birthday celebration that started at 7AM until 1am the next day. God I’m tired.

Anyway...

Time: Like 12am

Mood : Drunk, and the party is dying down; only about 5 of us left.

One of my favorite girlfriends was there and she (lets call her C) asked if I could help her with stretches since she was feeling stiff.

So we go to a corner of the room and I’m assisting her through all the motions.

The rest of the group were calling for us, asking “Where are you guys?” They look to the corner and C and I were doing hamstring stretches WHICH LOOK LIKE THIS

So now the rest of the group are teasing us for how close we are while C and I are laughing uncontrollably and attempting to finish the stretches.

There’s this girl I’m interested in, I thought it would be nice if I surprised her at lunchtime and bring her favorite food, Carne Asada fries (fries, steak, beans, covered in avocado and salsa).

So at lunchtime, I sent her a text to meet me in the cafeteria downstairs.

She was genuinely pleased to see me at her work. When she asked why I was there, I mentioned the food and her facial expression changed dramatically. Almost comedic.

She then told me that shes FASTING FOR RELIGIOUS PURPOSES but sincerely appreciated the thought and effort I put in my surprise.

So now, we’re both talking in the cafeteria over takeaway boxes that’s slowly getting cold. But I refuse to eat because I don’t want to seem rude.

After the longest hour lunch, she assured me that it was a sweet gesture and that she wouldn’t mind if I brought her lunch again.

I guess I’ll try again in two days.
