Apparently the man had little idea of what he was talking about. He gave a small laugh before he took another drag from his cigarette and exhaled the smoke into the air. “It’s all right, man, don’t worry about it.” At least he got one thing right, the guy was in a band. That had to be worth a few points. “Ash kids? Kids that dress in black.” 

Michael smiled before outstretching a hand. “Michael, and you’d be right.”

                              ❝ I  see… ❞  Blixa  retained  a  slightly  confused  frown  at  the  expression  he  was  unfamiliar  with,  but  he  added  it  to  his  mental  dictionary  of  ‘ strange English phrases ’  to  remember  later.  He  took  a  drag  of  his  cigarette  and leaned  against  the  wall,  lanky  frame  propped  up  with  his  bony  shoulder.

                              ❝ Michael. ❞  He  echoed,  a  slight  sideways  smile  on  his  lips  as  he  reached  out  to  shake  the  other’s  hand,  far  more  daintily  than  his  appearance  would  suggest.  ❝  A  pleasure.  So,  what  do  you  play?  Are  you  also  a  musician  that  the… ash   kids  like? ❞

Michael smiled lop sidedly. “Sure, why the hell not?” After the day he had, he could use a drink, hell with his weak self control, he’d likely end up drunk before the night was over, and a raging hangover the following morning, but that was rock stardom, baby. “You’re welcome. Say, you look familiar. Aren’t you from one of those gothic bands that ash kids listen to?”

                              BLIXA  STARED  quizzically  at  him  as  he  lit  his  cigarette.  ❝ ❛Gothic❜  bands? ❞  He  wasn’t  entirely  sure  what  genre  of  music  his  group  qualified  as,  but  he  shook  his  head  and  exhaled  smoke  as  he  said,  ❝ No.  Just  a  band… ❞  Confusion  was  still  present  in  his  eyes  while  his  brain  temporarily  glitched  in  it’s  understanding  of  English.  Not  drunk  enough.  ❝ What  are  ❛ash  kids❜? I haven’t heard this saying before… Well  anyway,  it  doesn’t  matter.  I’m  Blixa.  And  you…? You  have  the  look  of  a  musician  too. ❞

Michael​ flicked his zippo and lit his cigarette before taking a long drag. It had been a rather strenuously busy day, full of photoshoots, interviews, and other shit. Much as he liked where he was and the fruits of his labour, he couldn’t deny it could be exhausting and any quiet alone time he got for himself was precious and well savoured. 

As he stood outside the small club, he noticed the other man and gave a small nod of acknowledgement. “Want a light?”

                              BLIXA’S  LIGHTER  produced  nothing  but  useless  sparks  that  ignited  nothing  but  internal  rage.  His  comedown  was  making  him  agitated  anyway,  and  he  simply  longed  for  some  form  of  poison  to  absorb  into  his  deteriorating  body.  Good  fortune  smiled  upon  him  in  the  form  of  another  male  who’d  presumably  come  outside  to  temporarily  escape  the  wall  of  noise  from  the  club  as  well,  but  more  importantly  —  he  had  a  lighter.

                              ❝ Thanks, ❞  Blixa  said  as  he  approached,  and  he  leaned  against  the  wall, piercing  blue  eyes  studying  the  other.  ❝ You  look  like  you’ve  had  an  even  longer  day  than  I  have.  Buy  you  a  drink?  To  say…  ❛ thanks ❜… ❞
