Ok, I’m going to make this easy for the people who won’t take five minutes to read this entire piece, and want something sensational and negative to walk away with. Here’s your headline:

EDM Beauty: Winged Eyeliner & Red Lips
Okay, so you've got your bustier and your high-waisted shorts on. You're wearing your dancing shoes and you're pumped for the next rave. But you fall short, what about your makeup? You want something bold like your outfit is but classy enough to attract the rave boy jumpstyling nearby. What we do suggest here at EDG? Why, the winged eyeliner & red lips, of course!
This style is a surefire way to attract the positive attention of those around you, if done right. I mean, I wouldn't do the red lip if I was expecting to have a sloppy makeout sesh on the dance floor. And I wouldn't bother with the winged eye if I was just going to wear my plastic wayfarers all night long. So think real hard about how you plan your night to go before choosing this look ;) !
Okay so, how do you achieve this look?
First off: The winged eyeliner! Make sure you have a good liquid eyeliner with a thin brush to start. Follow the natural shape of your eye and pull the eyeliner brush out and up on the outside corners of your eye. Then connect the outside point to at least the middle of your eyelid. Make sure that you're drawing the line as close to your lash line as possible and that both eyes are as symmetrical as you can get them. My favorite tutorial is from Lauren Conrad which you can find on her website here.
Secondly: The red lip! The key to the red lip is to first, get the perfect shade; second, make sure your lips aren't cracked and dry; third, use a lip liner to color in your lips before applying the lipstick; and lastly, apply the lipstick with a brush instead of using the stick it comes in. To check out a more detailed list of what to do you can read this article here!

When talking to the press, I’m often asked how Electronic Dance Music (EDM) sprang up out of nowhere?! These guys. These journalists who make their Santa Claus sparkly eyes, enthusiastic and curious as to how EDM could just pop onto the music scene, *poof* and then dominate festivals, nightclubs,...
Electro Girls: Tegan and Sara
I've been listening to Tegan and Sara since my indie rock days and now that they are stretching their talent into the EDM scene, I find myself even more drawn to their music. Tegan and Sara Quin are identical twin sisters who sing, write, and play guitar and keyboard together to form a kick ass and unique duo. They released six studio albums since 1999 and have 14 singles including "Monday, Monday, Monday" and "Walking with a Ghost." Their voices compliment each others' with the perfect hints of "raspy-ness," soul, and harmony.
So far, they are featured in just a few electro songs such as Tiesto's "Feel it in my Bones," Morgan Page's "Body Work," and David Guetta's "Every Chance We Get We Run," but I am expecting to see more of them in EDM in the near future.
For those with dreams of becoming top producers, keep these words in mind.
