She slung her bag over her shoulder, just as a small white fox hopped up onto her desk.

“Scout can show you to any particular sections if need be. Captain Herta can be rather suspicious, but Lisa won’t mind you covering for me, especially being that you’re Kaeya’s informant.”

Peeks in the second drawer of his desk. Only the tiniest peek.

Though it is often said that fate blesses the brave, one cannot neglect that the statement only holds true if one is on the right side of history. Inside the tiny wooden drawer, there is little eccentricity to be found. The compartment is well-kept. Clean. Organized. But if one rummages just one bit, they shall be granted the right to shout "Eureka!" upon finding a white envelope mixed between white sheets of paper.

It is not sealed yet — a sign that something has yet to be added inside. Or that perhaps what is already inside still requires a few modifications. Time shall tell. Next to it is a purple crayon. Curious.

Even if Signe takes just the tiniest peek, it is still a peek. Does she not have other stuff to tend to? Such as the neat documents on top of the table. Being a cavalry captain does come with responsibility. To think she would view him as laidback...

«What a pity. All those pretty documents calling out your name, just for you to ignore them. Shamelessly snooping, are we? While on duty, no less. Tsk tsk tsk...» Though it is playful, there is a hint of disapproval in his voice.

"Ah, actually, most of the paperwork is complete, Sir Kaeya. I was looking for a new ink vial-- this one's running a little low."

Indeed, there's a neat pile of paperwork off to one side, thoroughly bookmarked and filled out to completion. There's another small pile that's apparently neatly categorized by date if the little sticky-notes are anything to go by. There's certainly truth to her statement if her work was anything to go by— but her lingering curiosity still easily shines through her sheepishness.
