This photo was taken over 20 years ago by Todd Robertson during a KKK rally in northeast Georgia. One of the boys approached a black state trooper, who was holding his riot shield on the ground. Seeing his reflection, the boy reached for the shield, and Robertson snapped the photo.

I think the officer’s expression says it all. This child standing before him is being taught how to hate even though he doesn’t understand it. He probably doesn’t understand the difference between this and Halloween.

If you think that climate change isn't real, you are either stupid or not paying attention. if you think systemic oppression isn't real, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you believe there is no inequality regarding race, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you believe there is no inequality regarding gender, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you believe there is no inequality regarding religion, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you are not outraged by the amount of citizens' tax dollars allocated to perpetual warfare, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you are not outraged by corporations having more rights than citizens, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you are not outraged at big pharma, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you don't see a problem with veterans suicide rates or that it indicates how harmful perpetual warfare is for all parties, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you don't believe racial profiling is real, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you don't see a problem with police officers receiving paid leave for unjustly murdering a "suspect", you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you hate all police officers, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you don't see a problem with our health care system, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you are suspicious of all immigrants, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you think that any politician gives a damn about you or your rights, you are either stupid or not paying attention. If you are more upset with a random, irrelevant football player not standing for the national anthem than you are about anything listed above, along with, corporate greed, the gap between the wealthy and "middle class", Fukushima, pollution, lobbyist, un taxable off-shore accounts, the justice system, privatized prisons, rape, and countless conspiracies all directly affecting you and your rights, YOU ARE STUPID AND YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION.
