tbh it’s crazy bc i think that rufus’ fear of dimitri might be genuine in a way that transcends simply hating him for lambert taking away his claim to the throne and i wonder why bc like truly what is he doing except having his crest abilities

but at the same time it makes me wonder like is there more subtext we’re missing outside of felix’s mention of dimitri’s behavior at the post-duscur rebellion like did he throw tantrums like what is it that makes rufus say something is wrong about his nephew’s eyes

We know that Rufus had been failing to get Dimitri assassinated even after completely isolating him in the Castle

And Dimitri is legitimately violent though, even if he felt bad about it :))) from anecdotes of the past, he's at least recognized as martially talented. Maybe the assassins all died brutally. In Hopes, a guy did have his severed head publically displayed :>>>

Other than that its also Rufus's own fear of his wrongdoings coming back to bite him, I think... Guilty conscience or sth like that. And you have Cornelia there to stir up his negative feelings

The entirety of the city must have been built on a hill? Unlike the other generic Kingdom maps with tall stone mountains, this map only shows some low peaks in its Eastern corner.

Fhirdiad has several layers separated by walls and stairs, leading up to the Castle—the tallest feature in that area.

There's a water moat surrounding the inner city and the Castle.

The Castle ground seems to be as big as the inner city.

I love how the battle maps look in this game... They have chosen an artstyle that works perfectly with the somewhat low fidelity
