Just a follow-up to my previous post. However, unlike in the last post, not all the manga here are completed. I generally avoid recommending incomplete manga, but I wanted to make another list, so... In addition, I didn't mention it on the last post, but having an anime adaptation generally disqualifies a manga from appearing on these lists, unless the anime seemed really not so well known (as was the case with Tsurezure Children). Also, there are a lot more horror manga on this list, so don't look at this if you don't like being scared. Finally, note how I removed the "favorite" from the title. I have some more mixed feelings on some of the manga in this collection, but I still considered them worthy of consideration. Anyway, enjoy!

1. For Imperfect People

A short manga about a boy who accompanies his classmate one night in her mission to vandalize the school, and how they grow and change for the better after knowing each other. Not quite a romance. Probably the only manga on this list I would recommend without caveat. 8.8/10

2. Mousou Telepathy

A girl who can read minds sits in front of a boy in her class who has a crush on her. If that sounds familiar, you probably read Kotoura-san, which has the exact same premise. This series isn't as dark as Kotoura-san, but I liked it better, although it's not that great at the beginning. It has one of my favorite chapters in any manga, though (chapter 96, if you're interested). 7.5/10

3. Zekkyou Gakkyuu (Screaming Classroom)

A horror manga anthology. 100 Ghost Stories was about a boy, but this one's about a girl, and it ran in a shoujo magazine, from what I understand. The artstyle is a lot cuter, and the stories aren't as memorable, but there a number of good standouts (Hell Clock, Girls and Boys, The Ocean is Calling). Some of the stories are surprisingly sadistic compared to 100 Ghost Stories, though. 7.9/10

4. Happy End

OK, I'm not going to beat around the bush here: this is a joke entry in the list. The reason it's here is because this manga is a poisonous brainworm to me. The kind you want to share so other people will understand your suffering. It's about a girl who moves to a town in the country where strange things are happening. I have very, very, very mixed feelings on this manga, because I loved the manga a lot up until the ending, which I hated a lot. I can't explain why without spoiling everything, but you should definitely read it! I want more people to suffer with me! 5/10 (solely because of the ending, because it would be 8.7/10 otherwise.)

5. I Love Tomorrow's You (oneshot)

A manga about a boy who can talk to his girlfriend both now - and in the future. Somehow, his phone can call one day forward. Sounds simple, and it is very short, but it really, really stole my heart. 8/10

6. Doku Doku Mori Mori

A manga about mushroom fairies living in the forest. The protagonist's village was wiped out by a mysterious stranger, and she seeks revenge. On her journey, she learns some surprising truths about her origins and the origins of the forest she lives in. Notable in that despite the cute artstyle and premise, this manga is brutal. Do not read if you are sensitive to violence! The mushroom fairy wars are no joke. 8.2/10

7. You Are My Clover

This is one of those "first-chapter twist" manga, so I can't really lie about the premise. The protagonist has travelled back in time to save her childhood friend and love interest from killing himself. At first, it just seems to be a matter of boosting his personal self-esteem and chasing his bullies away, but it soon becomes clear that someone is specifically targeting him for death for reasons unknown. The manga is unfinished, but I like what's there so far. 8.1/10

8. Sayonara Oruta/Farewell to my Alter (oneshot)

A oneshot manga about a pair of twin sisters who are alike in every single way... perhaps? I include it here solely based on the rather thoughtful ending, and I understand if people don't like this one. 7.5/10

9. Liar Satsuki Can See Death

This is probably the most well-known manga on the list. A story about a girl who can see the corpses of people who will die in the next 24 hours, and her efforts to stop these deaths from happening (while not looking like a crazy person). I have some mixed feelings on the ending of the manga, but I think that it overall is quite good. 8.5/10
