My hair project Can You Make Hair for Me? @canyoumakehair is hitting the road...the heads are going to #Chicago! I'm honored to be part of Artoma: The Art of Cancer, a show featuring five artists of different disciplines whose lives were impacted by a cancer diagnosis: Barbara VanKanegan, Michael F. Gallagher, Richard Zeid and Barbara Youngquist. The opening is January 10, 6-10 pm. Unfortunately I expect to be back in the hospital at that time for a CAR t-cell treatment and won't be able to make it. But is you're in Chicago and can go, take some pictures for me! I was driving to get coffee the other morning and I passed this young woman waiting for the schoolbus. Oh the ennui of the young! I just got out of bed and it was a little colder this morning so I put on this fabulous newspaper hair on my head made by and her grandaughter! It goes well with my decaf and my Ms. Cheeze mug. This was originally designed as a pirate hair and I reworked it a bit as pirate outfits were hard to come by. I'll post the original photos as well. Thanks, Pat! This beautiful feather hair made by spiritualist and stylist @magicmoma77 hair is an homage to the shamanic tradition. She adorned me with spirit animals to give me extra strength and good will during my stem cell transplant and created a "hair" that looks a lot like my old haircut.
