Hey Dad.... do you know that sometimes we are on the phone for over an hour? Not sure if you noticed that or not.... but I certainly did. I remember the first time it happened cause I was so shocked I looked an my phone again after we hung up to see how long the call was 1 hour and 17 minutes I remember it exactly. This was a long time ago obviously... we’ve had sooo many over an hour calls since then. But it was in this 1 hour and 17 minutes that I realized that you weren’t just my dad who I love, but you were my friend who I can be on the phone with for a long time just talking about life. To me, you are the best of both worlds, a parent who watches over me and protects me and a friend I can confide in. It means the world to me that you talk to me about what’s going on in your life, having a yose with you after we eat is one of my favorite things in the world. Dad the way you are able to let go and forgive inspires me, you are a master at rolling with the punches and I think that’s why life has continued to provide for you. I mean life already gifted you with an awesome daughter (Ate, obviously!) and as a little gift from lolo, he gave you me, a troublemaker, so you get a taste of what they had to deal with. Dad I love you so much and always hate when you have to leave, but I want to thank you for my life and making it so much easier to live. I find a lot of comfort in having you as my dad, not because you are perfect but because you are flawed and you bounce back every time. I want to love fiercely like Mom, I’m thankful to her everyday that she kept our family together. But I want to get through life like you, bobbing and weaving, always adapting to what this life will give. I’m a better person because you are my dad. I love you and happy Father’s Day! Honestly, I wouldn’t mind that people call me Cedrica 🤫 lol
