No Good Goblin

     ”Aw, y’ know I didn’t mean it like that, baby." He’s getting a little too close again, pushing his thumb under Icky’s chin. “Yer jus’ too ugly fer me.”

He cackles. "If that aint the pot callin' the kettle black..."

    “Oh, no, tha’s much better. Keep talkin’ like that n’ this li’l chat might actually go somewhere.”

"Aw, and here I was thinkin' we already had sumthin' special."

    “Well, if we’re bein’ perfectly honest here, I don’t like how yer dingy fuckin’ accent sounds, neither. Y’ hear me bitchin’ about it, though?”

He croaks out an accent akin to that of an Appalachian wanderer. "Did I offend yew? Is this better on yer baby ears, Roymund? Or should  switch to sumthin' else?" 

    “What’s the point?  Don’t make it sound no better… Jus’ more fer people ta remember.”

    “Oh? N’ what makes ya say that, bud?”

     ”I did, genius - that was ‘n expression. Christ.”

   ”Just Roy.” His eyes fixate on Icky’s mouth with he picks his teeth. “Y’ might I say picked it m’self.”

"Both. I didn’t hit it hard enough so i got about half ay through and then it just sort of hung there by a little bit of skin….”

He's hanging onto her every word with incredible interest. When she trails off he only wants her to continue.  "----and?" 

     At that, Roy bursts with yelping laughter.                  ”—fuckin’ kiddin’ me? Shit —— suits ya, I guess!”

"Short for Icarus." He returns to picking his teeth. "The fuck is  Roy short for? Roymund?"

      luckily enough, kim was used to this type of behavior        and wasn’t but off by his charm. 

Also, he isn't adverse to the idea of blowing hot stink breath in her face if it means he might get a reaction.

    “Really? ‘Cuz, uh, y’ nearly lost a coupl’ve ‘em in my mouth, if ‘at ain’t willy-nilly. Anyway, you gon’ tell me your name?” If not, he has a wide range of demeaning ones to pick from.

                           "It's Icky."
