Viral Intervention:Ā Process
So first, we started by making the boxes. We were going to make wooden crates with leftover wood from the studio but we decided that would take too long midway through making one. Instead, we decided to instead use cardboard boxes. We turned them inside out, and taped them together before cutting an arc into the side of them so the produce is more easily visible. After that, we used fabric to line the insides of the boxes. Afterwards, we got pieces of wood and shaved them down into smaller pieces, after which we painted them into pieces of bread. We then also painted the rocks into tomatoes to put alongside all the other produce we made.Ā
Secondly, we made the supports for the stall. We took off the top layer of a piece of cardboard, exposing the inside and wrapping it around a piece of rebar for more stability. After we made about 4 supports, we used tape to put them together into 2 longer supports. Along with the tape, we used rubber bands to hold the supports together, and at the park we dug holes to insert the supports into using a post hole digger. Once the supports were in the ground, we put a piece of cardboard wrapped in fabric over the supports, acting as shade.Ā
Lastly, we used 2 foldable tables to put the boxes on, and we covered them in fabric. Once we had everything else in the stall set up, we put the boxes on the tables, and filled them the cardboard shavings and the produce we made.Ā
