Yes, it’s true the English versions tends be hit or miss about mentioning the multi-dimensional nature of Another Dimension. As for what's in the novel summary, it uses 異空間, the part of Another Dimension we visit in RtDL. That's why I used "another dimension" without caps. 

(...I hope that was the right term! I haven't quite sorted out what across the various games is consistent in Japanese (and thus, more correct) vs consistent in English. And 異空間 sadly doesn't have it's own page on the EN Kirby Wiki, it's just bundled in with the Another Dimension article.)

But as to the plural/singular confusion, I was not aware each of the 15 rifts in RtDL was supposed to lead to its own unique dimension! I always took them as being separate openings to different parts of the same dimension (sort of like the Grand Underground in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl) as each one shares a unified background and matches the terrain of the part of Popstar/Halcandra you're on, like the two are connected through a thin veil.

Is there a place you can point me to that confirms the 15 rifts lead to separate dimensions? Always interested in knowing more AD lore! (And this one would be useful to me personally!)

Regardless, I took this specific instance of 異空間 to be referring to the dimension that Halcandra resides in - since we can't be sure yet if they'll enter any of the dimensional rifts, but we do know they'll travel to Halcandra. If each one turns out to be distinct, and the group visits them after all (and the wording is consistent) I'll go back and change it to "dimensions!"

Other minor things in favor of this exist, like how “even whole other dimensions“ it’s pointed out as an example of something Kirby has visited before, a bit after having already pointed out the Mirror World too in a 2015 Miiverse post (web.archive.org/web/20170730215453/https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHkUNtoNUA) and how each space goes from grey to colorful/back to normal at the end but the next one remains grey.

アナザーディメンション, 異空間, and イクウカン are all ways to say Another Dimension, in the Jap. tutorial of Heroes in Another Dimension twice they say  異空間 while it “above” (Idk how that’s called) has  アナザーディメンション.
