What do I do with my life now that Instinct is over?
Read the books.Ā I know this is the least sexy or helpful answer ever but here you go, the second book literally comes out tomorrow. Itās our only chance for more content right now, and more folks snagging the books might make the chances of the series being picked up again better.
Just a theory, but I suspect Michael Rauch may be a teensy bit bitter, and I donāt think anyone will blame him. What this means is weāre getting an unresolved ending following a whole crapload of Screwed By The Network, which on the one hand is....good? for fanfic writers but. Generally not great.
What we can hang on to: James Patterson will keep writing books about weird funhouse mirror versions of our beloved characters so long as the checks clear. And maybe if enough books sell the series can get a reboot, or continuation. The second in the series is coming out September 9, Iāve got my pre-order in. If you canāt do that, ask your local libraries to order a copy or two. And everyone tune in on Sunday to make sure the CBS era goes out with a bang.

Season 2 speculation
So IDK if yāall read that Vulture review which no one can reblog because reasons but some of the speculation that came up was the possibility of Dylan having an affair with Travis Van Winkleās character and......tbh I sort of had that thought last episode. Or if not an affair than definitely a crush.
I know itās treason and Dandy is our only ship and I will fight for it forever but. I saw the possibility and sort of nodded at it.

I donāt think the show even remembered it because it breezed over it so quickly. It felt random af to make that a plot point and then not have any reprecussions from it
It was because it was the quasi-climax of the novel and since they decided to do the entire freakinā novel in the pilot it ended up being just the climax of one episode, forgotten about immediately.
