In Sebastianâs mind, it felt rather universal that one of the most exciting things that happens within your four years of high school, is prom. sure, maybe prom wasnât for everyone either, but he had to admit it was nice to have one final hoorah for all the people youâve dealt with. Even if Sebastian didnât have many friends to begin with, that didnât mean he couldnât enjoy the nostalgia. It seems rather crazy how quickly time flies; one minute he was a mere freshman, a boy who wandered onto the hallways aimlessly and without knowing what to expect. Now, he likes to think heâs grown at least somewhat in four years, a maturity that one could only get through experience. Damon is certainly an experience, one he could probably never forget no matter how much he might want too. It wasnât all bad, either, especially now that theyâre trying to fix things. Hearing the knocking at the door caught him by surprise, rushing straight towards it. Once he opened it, his eyes grew wide once he saw Damon in a suit. Damn, he looked amazing â Sebastian couldnât help but stare for a couple seconds before composing himself, âHey, um, wow, I told you youâd look handsome in a suit,â he grinned, âcome on, for a bit, my mom is not home and I have to grab your flower from my room.â
It was incredible how quickly he went through high school, and while he was looking forward to graduating and moving on with his life, Damon felt as if the years had just rolled on by. A part of him wished that he had the ability of turning back time, that way he could spend his years focusing on what really mattered. Friends would certainly come and go, and whether your fellow classmates liked you or not wasnât something that you should spend too much time worrying about. No matter what you did, whether you were a jock or spent most of your time in the corner of the library, someone would always dislike you. Someone would find a reason to push you up against the lockers, or even make fun of your low test scores. He went into the school thinking that he could have a ton of friends and be happy because of that. Truth was, those popular kids only liked a version of Damon that he spun for them. The version that was so unlike himself, and if they knew the real him, there was no doubt that theyâd ditch him in two seconds flat. All of these thoughts were pushed towards the back of his mind once Sebastian opened the door, and Damon couldnât stop his gaze from travelling to the otherâs outfit, and eventually back to his eyes. Wow. âSame goes for you. You look really, really good.â He admitted with a laugh, nodding his head as he walked into the house. âRight, I almost forgot. Uh, I got you a⌠boutonnière? I think thatâs what they call it.â
