Short answer: no it doesn’t

The book’s message in it’s most surface level form is a critique against authoritarianism ( allegorising Stalin’s regime for his story). Snowball’s morals and actions aren’t entirely black and white. Whilst Orwell didn’t think of Trotsky as a good leader and has criticised him before, Snowball is still portrayed far more favourably than Napoleon (prime example is his committees and the battle of the cowshed). I can acknowledge that Snowball isn’t perfect and still have him as my favourite character.
