Summary of the chapter
"After escaping the poolrooms, the team visits the unsettling level of Liminal Yokai 94. There, Liminal Yokai 37 gets to enjoy the smallest things and to question its own existence."
Summary of the fic
Liminal Yokai 37 is a mysterious entity living in Level 37. After not being fed for months, it suddenly wakes up in a bright and loud laboratory, where it will meet two scientists. Those scientists will then take Liminal Yokai 37 in a terrifying journey across multiple levels in hope to find Liminal Yokai 94, an entity trying to escape and to exterminate humanity. On their way, they'll meet even more entities and get to learn about the past of the foundation, that is not as good and honest as they think.
I had to make them an icon for art fight (CHECK MY AF), so I decided to make them pixelated! It took me the whole day but I'm happy with how they turned out! = )

First of all, for those who are sensitive to creepy things, jesters, spiders or pointy teeth, this post ain't for ya. Oh and, there will be obvious spoilers* for my fic.
*I do not consider seeing the entities themselves as spoilers since it doesn't change anything to the story. However, it'll spoil the next levels, and some people might not like that. Also, all of this lore will be available in the fic itself, it's not a tumblr-exclusive thing.

☆ Liminal Yokai 37 ☆
Liminal Yokai 37 is the main character of my fic. It's a mysterious, yet mostly passive, creature living in the lowest levels of the poolrooms. It has a very grumpy and slightly mean behavior, but is generally not dangerous.
☆ Liminal Yokai 94 ☆
Liminal Yokai 94 is allegedly the villain of the story. In search of the exit to the outside world, it scrambled the signals with the laboratory, making level exploration extremely dangerous. Fortunately, a courageous group is risking their lives to find it and bring it back home!
☆ Liminal Yokai 0 ☆
Liminal Yokai 0 is an extremely hostile entity living in level 0. Unable to talk, it attracts preys by reproducing sounds and voices it heard in the past.
☆ Liminal Yokai FUN ☆
Liminal Yokai Fun is an entity living in the level fun. Usually gentle, it seems however quite unstable. It loves telling jokes, playing, dancing, singing, or doing literally anything fun.

Liminal Yokai End is an hostile entity living in the level end. It seems inspire by arachnids as it lays webs all around the level to catch its preys. It is completely blind and can barely hear, but its webs instantly lure it the moment something touches them.

The series Dreampools (name taken from the Backrooms game "Dreamcore") follows the stories of 3 humans wandering in a twisted version of the Poolrooms, where their own imaginations forge their surroundings.
I have been working on something recently. Since I joined Tumblr later I'll explain:
I started a series of (SFW) Backrooms fanfictions on AO3, that follows the stories of 3 humans wandering in a twisted, mysterious version of the Poolrooms/Dreamrooms. At first. I wanted to make this series one-shots only, but I realised I'd be annoying. Instead, I am working on a finale; a longer, scarier, more psychological fic. I'm not going to go into details, but I don't know how much time it'll take me before starting posting it. I'm scared to post the first chapter and then lose motivation (I have a serious case of "never-finishing-stuff"). I'm already 3 chapters in, so maybe I'd be good. I'll see in the future.
So, why am I rambling like this? Because I wanted to draw something for it. I love adding an image with my fics, so people can get into the vibes, you know?
