steve  harrington  would  always  be  intertwined  with  nancy  wheeler.  she  didn't  really  know  when  it  all  started,  but  she  only  assumed  it  started  with  that  letter  in  her  locker.  though,  steve  really  became  engraved  in  her  life  the  night  she  lost  her  virginity  &  her  best  friend.  nancy  carried  so  much  guilt  from  that  night,  hating  herself  for  choosing  to  go  with  steve  instead  of  staying  with  barb.  

nancy  blamed  herself  for  barb's  death  and  steve...  steve  became  a  walking,  talking  reminder  of  the  entire  thing.  it  wasn't  that  she  didn't  love  steve,  she  felt  guilty  because  she  loved  him.  what  gave  her  the  right  to  be  happy  and  in  love  when  barb's  life  felt  like  her  fault  ?

if  only  she  wasn't  three  drinks  in  when  she  told  steve  this.  if  only  she  could  have  elaborated  on  what  exactly  the  bullshit  was.  it  was  never  him.  it  was  never  them.  

it  was  her.  she  was  bullshit  in  thinking  that  she  could  live  a  life  pretending.

even  after  their  break  up,  steve  still  managed  to  be  a  variable  in  her  life--  and  for  that  she  was  constantly  grateful.  she  knew  how  she  looked  and  she  knew  how  shitty  it  was.  she  hated  that  she  wasn't  there  for  him  in  ways  that  she  knew  she  could  have  been.

hello  hello  !  please  don't  mind  the  bare  blog,  but  i  just  wanted  to  post  something  before  i  head  off  !  my  name  is  moony  and  i  used  to  have  another  nancy  blog--  but  tumblr  decided  to  lock  me  out.  so  i  had  to  make  another  one,  but  i'm  really  happy  to  be  back  in  the  fandom  because  .  .  .  lets  be  honest,  it  was  inevitable  that  i'd  eventually  come  back.  i'll  have  my  pinned  post  up  eventually,  but  in  the  meantime  i  have  my  doc  put  together  (  it  just  needs  updating.  )
