“The movie Pride and Prejudice is one of the best movies out there and to visit one of the locations of where it’s filmed would be of a delight for me. The scene where Mr. Darcy proposed to and got rejected by Elizabeth was shot in The Temple of Apollo in Stourhead Gardens, Salisbury, England. Luckily that day the sun decided to come out, thus I enjoyed my wander around this magnificent haven. Wild spring flowers and blossoming trees are everywhere. The view from the entrance towards the lake is just breathtaking. So if you ever decide to visit this place, enjoy every step of it because it is indeed a romantic experience you don’t want to miss.”

“...visiting Bretaye & Avoriaz”

Hello Everyone,

So as you all know, it has been snowing so heavily for this winter season. I was lucky enough to visit both the Swiss & French Alps. Bretaye is located above Villars-sur-Ollon in Switzerland whilst Avoriaz is a ski resort found in the heart of Portes du Soleil, Morzine. My first proper ski lessons was in Avoriaz even though I was taking private one day trial lessons in Bretaye. I must say, it has been a fearful yet amazing experience. I fell more than 15 times and the embarrassment sky-rocketed until mesosphere. It’s as if I’m a baby again, learning the first few steps or acquiring a new language with strained legs and twisted knees inclusive. Although having that said, would I ever do it again? You bet I would. I wanna be good at it. As the Ski instructor once told me that Skiing is “Liberte”, translated in English meaning Freedom. It was a total feeling of having no restraint and gliding to the ever fair and frosted snow indeed, more or less like flying. If ever you are planning your first ski experience don’t miss Bretaye or Avoriaz.
