So, remember when I said Zeren "...has a history in a warrior gang of her own"? They were a party of five, including herself, taking whatever jobs needed doing by whatever parties asked. 25 years ago, however, something terrible happened to the team after one of their contracts went horribly wrong. Zeren was the only survivor.
To this day, Zeren wears a star-shaped stone pendant both as a reminder of her old friends, and as a promise to never let anything like that happen again. The grief is stronger on some nights than on others. She tries to ride it out how she can. But once he understands the extent of it, Zavok promises, on his honour as a Zeti and the Deadly Six's leader, that she will never have to bear the weight alone again.
