I'm really sorry for assuming that you really liked me and had genuine, strong feelings for me. It's just because you acted like you really liked me and had genuine, strong feelings for me, but my bad; that's totally on me. 

How can I love someone new, when every night I dream of you?

I go on dates, I get serious with others, but they aren't you. I meet incredible souls who I'd be lucky share mine with, but they aren't you. You're happy with someone, and I know I can't have you. With the time that's passed , and the steps I've made, I still can't be rid of you. What have you done? Why are my dreams of your incredible being also nightmares reminding me I can never have you? Why can't I break away from the thought of your smile? Your laugh echoes in my mind. The memory of you soothes my soul, yet keeps my heart in a pattern of manic wonder. They says its better to have love and lost . I don't agree. Losing you haunts me constantly. I wish I never knew you. Not out of hate, but out of fear I may never move on. You were the one who got away, and in my heart, the one who will always stay.
