So yeah I totally killed the reader off in this one... Wanted this one to be angsty. Enjoy.
----------------------------
⢠Obi-wan Kenobi â˘
⢠Obi-wan knew he shouldn't have let you join him on this particular mission.
⢠He knew something was off about this mission, he had sensed it in the Force.
⢠But he'd let you join regardless, and now you lay at his feet, bleeding out.
⢠He quickly dispatched of the enemy, and pulled you into his arms.
⢠"My love stay with me, you're going to be okay."
⢠He cradled your head in his free hand, trying desperately to assure you that everything will be okay.
⢠While also trying to fool himself into thinking you'll be able to pull through.
⢠As your breathing turned shallow, he kissed your forehead, smiling through the pain.
⢠He needed to be strong for you.
⢠And as your eyes fluttered closed, and your chest stilled, Obi-wan felt as if a part of himself had died with you.
⢠Only then did he allow himself to cry, and Obi-wan Kenobi was never the same.
⢠Becoming a shell of the man he once was, he eventually leaves the Jedi and roams the galaxy, feeling utterly lost without you by his side.
⢠Anikin Skywalker â˘
⢠Anikin thought he could protect you from anything.
⢠His one truest love, the one person he would have done anything for.
⢠This is the most dramatic turn of events for Anikin, the moment when he gave into the dark side.
⢠Cradling your lifeless body in his arms, Anikin screamed and cried.
⢠"You can't leave me (Y/n), you can't!"
⢠And with the aggressive flick of his wrist, he killed those that had taken you from him.
⢠He was merciless, unforgiving, and beyond angry.
⢠Anikin felt as if he'd died alongside you, and in many ways he did.
⢠Alone he laid you to rest.
⢠His once beautiful blue eyes turned to yellow as he watched you disappear from his life.
⢠Anikin felt as if your blood was on his hands, as if he failed to protect you.
⢠He also felt as if he failed you, because if you hadn't loved him as deeply as you did, maybe then you wouldn't have given your life for his.
⢠The day you died, was the very same day Darth Vader was born.
⢠Qui-Gon Jinn â˘
⢠Qui-Gon knew he shouldn't have grown attached to you, he knew it wouldn't end well.
⢠The rules about attachments, about love, were in place for this very reason.
⢠Quickly he took care of the man that had fatally wounded you, and held you close.
⢠Try as he might with the help of the force he attempted to heal your wounds, unable to do so he tried his best to be strong for you.
⢠He pecked your lips, and brushed back your hair.
⢠"You're going to be alright darling, just breath. That's it, just keep breathing."
⢠His hands shook as he placed his free hand over your wound, trying weakly to stop the bleeding.
⢠Again he tried using the Force to at least try to ease your pain, to make this easier for you.
⢠"Just relax my darling, we'll see eachother again."
⢠Qui-Gon promised you with a weak smile, his heart breaking at the sight of your own equally weak smile.
⢠His heart breaking further as he felt your breathing slow down considerably, the light in your eyes fading with every shallow breath.
⢠If there was anything Qui-Gon was grateful for, it was getting to hold you in his arms one last time.
⢠Darth Maul â˘
⢠Maul was foolish enough to think you were untouchable, that you were both untouchable.
⢠And his world crashed around him as you collapsed to the ground.
⢠Maul thought he knew pain, but all that he's been through, all that he's done. It was nothing compared to losing you.
⢠"You'll pay for this!"
⢠Maul growled at the man that was daring enough to hurt you.
⢠Ruthlessly he slashed at the man, cutting him limb from limb, and keeping him alive until he was satisfied.
⢠His rage blinded him, and only subsidied when he heard you wheezing in pain.
⢠"(Y/n) my star."
⢠Without another thought he dropped his saber, and rushed to your side, cradling you against his chest.
⢠He was unfazed by your blood seeping into his robes, firmly placing his hand against your wound, desperately trying to at least slow the bleeding.
⢠"I'll find you again my star, nothing can keep me from you, nothing."
⢠Maul promised as he rest his forehead against your own, the connection between you both through the Force, assuring him that he could keep that promise.
⢠He also swore to take down anyone and everyone that was involved in your demise, whoever that man worked for was as good as dead, and anyone else Maul deemed guilty.
⢠Maul will destroy worlds to avenge you if he must.
⢠He kept his eyes locked with yours as you slowly slipped away, his hearts thundering with heartache.
⢠"We will be together again."
⢠Maul promised before you gave your final breath, a rage filled scream escaping him as you died.
⢠And all who knew of Darth Maul, learned that after your demise, the Sith could be far crueler, far darker than he had been when you were still alive.
⢠Maul eventually turns to the traditions of the Zabrak, and finds a way to reunite with you through the magick of his people.
⢠It isn't enough, and it'll never be enough, because it is simply a ghost of you.
⢠But until his demise it is all he can manage, and he will accept that while he cannot hold you anymore, he can at least still see you and speak with you.
⢠Feral Opress â˘
⢠Feral is heartbroken beyond belief.
⢠You were the only truly good thing in his life, you were his and he was yours.
⢠Savage had witnessed the whole thing unfold, and for the sake of his brother, he struck down the man that dared to harm you.
⢠Feral wasn't sure what to do, so he acted on instinct, and laid beside you, pulling you into his arms.
⢠You had once said laying in his embrace was your favorite thing, the thing that brought you the most comfort.
⢠And he knew that's all he could do for you, comfort you as you slowly succumbed to your wounds.
⢠"Sh sh my sweet, just relax, I'm here, I've got you."
⢠He brushed your hair back in a soothing way, ignoring how much it hurt him to feel your blood painting his skin.
⢠He peppered kisses across your paling face, his hearts breaking with every kiss.
⢠You giggled in a pitiful way, coughing a moment later, blood oozed from your mouth.
⢠And Feral, delicately, lovingly wiped it away.
⢠"It's okay my sweet, look at me."
⢠His lip quivered a little as your glossy eyes peered into his own.
⢠"I love you, don't you ever forget that."
⢠He pecked your lips, tears escaping him when your final breath wheezed out from your lungs.
⢠Savage Opress â˘
⢠Savage instantly saw red, his hearts filled with rage, and regret.
⢠He ripped the man who hurt you limb from limb with his bare hands. The man's blood only cooling his temper a little.
⢠Dropping the carcass carelessly to the ground, he rushed back to your side, and as gently as he could he picked you up and cradled you against his chest.
⢠With you in his arms, Savage walked carefully across the tundra of the desolate planet you were on, unable, unwilling to just leave you on this wasteland of a planet.
⢠"Oh little one, my sweet stupid girl. You should have just let me handle him."
⢠He meant well, he really did. But he was hurt that you would do something so reckless, so selfless.
⢠You had once promised him forever.
⢠You giggled weakly, reaching up to caress his handsome face. And Savage melted into your touch.
⢠His hearts broke, knowing he couldn't save you, not this time.
⢠His blazing eyes locked onto your pale face, he wanted to commit your face to memory, despite the fact that he already has every part of you committed to memory.
⢠"I'll see you again little one, through the magick, the Force, I will see you again."
⢠He promised as he cradled you close, the chill of your skin finally breaking his resolve.
⢠Savage cried as he held you close, falling to his knees as you struggled to breathe.
⢠He grew darker that day, much darker. Swearing to fight to the bitter end, until he could be reunited with you once more.
⢠Kylo Ren â˘
⢠The moment you collapsed before his eyes, Kylo felt as if he would die alongside you.
⢠With a rage filled cry, Kylo cut down the man that hurt you, and threw the rest over a nearby cliff with the Force.
⢠He fell to his knees beside you, watching helplessly as your blood stained the snow around you.
⢠"Starlight what have you done?"
⢠He breathed out as he pulled you into his arms, tears of heartache and rage streaming down his face, his helmet long since abandoned.
⢠"I couldn't- couldn't let you get hurt."
⢠You had wheezed out, desperately clutching the deep gash at your side. Kylo's hand rest over yours, desperately hoping to stop the bleeding.
⢠"I can't live without you."
⢠Kylo whispered in a broken voice, burying his face into the crook of your neck.
⢠He squeezed you tighter, as you grew colder and colder in his arms.
⢠"Don't leave me, please, I can't go on without you."
⢠Kylo shook in his sorrow and rage, as your breathing became shallow.
⢠Despite the fact that you were literally dying, you still tried to comfort him, brushing his hair back weakly, your blood staining his pale skin.
⢠This only served to break his heart further, how can he possibly go on without you?
⢠Kylo is the most likely to rage an all out war, in hopes of getting himself killed so he could be reunited with you.
⢠But that's not to say he won't fight to the bitter end.
⢠Armitage Hux â˘
⢠It took everything in Armitage to stay standing, to not collapse and cradle you in his arms.
⢠If he had done so, he knew your sacrifice would have been in vain.
⢠But the moment the man is killed by his troopers, he's falling to his knees and pulling you into his arms.
⢠"GET A MEDICAL DROID NOW!"
⢠He barks at his men, who rush to follow out his order.
⢠But it's too late, your once bright eyes are dull and lifeless, having died on impact.
⢠That doesn't stop Armitage from deluding himself into thinking you'll be okay.
⢠He's crying, and begging you to wake up, but you don't respond to any of his attempts to stir you.
⢠"Please angel, wake up, come on."
⢠He's shaking you, kissing you, and eventually in his desperation he's beating on your chest in an attempt to get your heart pumping again.
⢠By the time a medical droid comes, he refuses to let you go. His troopers eventually have to tear him away from your body.
⢠He's kicking and screaming, red in the face as he fights them. But it's no good, they are to strong.
⢠Armitage has to control himself during your funeral, every instinct in him screaming to not let you go, to fight to bring you back.
⢠He is much harsher after this, starting arguments more and more with Kylo, and taking every ounce of pain when Kylo throws him across the room with the Force, as if he deserves to be punished.
⢠He's even trying to goad Kylo into killing him, but the man has a little more restraint than the General had thought.
⢠Armitage is the most likely to give into his dark depressive thoughts, and take his own life.
⢠His final thoughts are of you and you alone.
⢠General Grievous â˘
⢠You were his most prized "possession" so to speak, nothing in all of the galaxy meant as much to Grievous as you did.
⢠"My treasure, no you can't do this, you can't leave me I forbid it!"
⢠He's killed the man before you even hit the ground, where you lay for mere moments before he's cradling you in his arms.
⢠He's gentle with you, as he quite literally sprints you to the nearest medical bay.
⢠"Get out all of you!"
⢠He barks at the droids, not trusting them to fix what cannot be undone. Certain that he'll be able to save you.
⢠He's frantic in his attempts to patch you up, almost unaware of the way you gently touch his arm.
⢠Grievous froze in an instant when you weakly called out his name, his attention now solely on your face, cupping your hand in two of his.
⢠"What do you need treasure?"
⢠He asked in a soft voice, ignoring how his voice shook with emotion.
⢠You simply smiled at him, as if taking in the sight of him was all you cared about in that moment.
⢠"I-I lo-ve-"
⢠You tried croaking out, only for your breath to be stolen as you slipped away, dying before his very eyes, trying to declare your love one last time.
⢠The very ground shook with his scream of despair and heart retching agony.
⢠From that moment on he took out every ounce of pain and anger at losing you on anyone he deemed a threat.
⢠Sometimes even on innocent people, who would unknowingly remind him of you.
⢠He fought dirty and ruthlessly, uncaring if he would get himself killed, or if he would even succeed.
⢠Grievous also travelled far and wide across the galaxy in an attempt to find some way to bring you back to life.
⢠He cared not for whatever it might cost, or what he might have to do, who he would have to kill.
⢠If there is a way he can bring you back, he'll find a way, not matter how long it takes.

The door clicked behind him, and James dropped his keys onto the counter with a soft jingle. Heâd just come back from a long, grueling case, muscles tight and clothes smelling faintly of gunpowder and road dust. His eyes immediately locked onto the sight that made his chest tighten and his pulse jump.
There she was - his y/n. Sitting on the kitchen counter, legs swinging lazily, one of his soft blue button-ups two sizes too big on her perfect body. Her hair framed her face and fell messily around her shoulders in the best way possible. Underneath the piece of clothing she claimed as her own, there was delicate lace panties that clung to her hips and the soft curve of her thighs. A small container of vanilla ice cream was nestled between her thighs and in her hand was a spoonful of ice cream, the way she licked it slowly, deliberately, making the simple act look impossibly erotic.
He swallowed hard, feeling his pants suddenly too tight. Goddamn, she looked like a walking wet dream in his shirt, legs spread slightly on the counter, completely unaware of how fucking sexy she was right now. The way she licked that spoon... Fuck it.
âHey, Honeyâ y/n said innocently - or she tried to sound innocent. It was contradicted by the way her eyes met his blue ones when the spoon slipped past her lips.
âHey yourselfâ James managed to say, his voice coming out rougher than intended. He slowly unbuttoned his suit jacket, absently tossing it to the side, his eyes never leaving hers. He knew exactly what she was doing - driving him wild with that innocent act.
âmissed you todayâ she mumbled. She picked the carton up, spreading her thighs as James positioned himself between them.
âMhmâ He hummed noncommittally, his hands coming up to rest on her thighs, thumbs brushing against the edge of those fucking distracting panties. He leaned in closer, nuzzling his nose against her neck and inhaling deeply. She always smelled so good.
âWant some?â she asked softly, a spoonful of ice cream out to him.
James nipped at her neck before pulling back to look at the offered spoon. He wrapped his lips around it, sucking it clean while his eyes stayed locked with hers. The cold ice cream melted against his tongue, but it was nothing compared to the heat building between her legs. âMm, not as sweet as youâ he murmured, his hands slowly inching up her thighs.
His thumbs hooked into the waistband of her panties, pulling them aside. He leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear as he whispered, âLift your ass upâ It wasnât a request, but a command - one she eagerly obeyed without hesitation.
James gripped her ass firmly, pulling her closer to the edge of the counter. He could feel himself getting harder by the second at the sight of her spread out before him. Without any further hesitation, he leaned in and captured her mouth in a fierce kiss while his fingers immediately tangled in her hair.
Y/n moaned softly against his lips, the taste of vanilla lingering between them. She pulled away from the kiss, pressing her forehead against his. âthe ice creams gonna meltâ she whispered, obviously hinting at something as she dipped her first two fingers in the softening ice cream.
James chuckled darkly against her lips, understanding her hint immediately. His eyes dropped to watch as she coated her fingers with ice cream. Before she could do anything else, he caught her wrist and brought those sweet-coated fingers to his mouth instead. He sucked them clean one by one while holding her gaze intensely.
He gave a low growl, pushing her back until she was flat on the counter. The cool surface sent a shiver through her, but he quickly warmed the chill with his hands, fingertips tracing every curve. He lifted one leg, hooking it over his shoulder, leaning closer.
âSuch a teaseâ he muttered, dipping two fingers into the tub of ice cream collecting just enough to drip thin, smooth ribbon onto her inner thigh. Y/n's breath caught at the cold touch, and before she could protest, his tongue followed, tracing the path, licking up the sweetness, savoring the shiver it drew from her.
He repeated the action on her other thigh, his tongue swirling around the ice cream before he licked it off her skin. His hands gripped her hips tightly as he spread her legs wider apart without warning - exposing everything to him under the kitchen lights.
âJ-jamie...â she moaned, her hand finding his hair. âpleaseâ
Jamie smirked against her thigh, loving how desperate she sounded. He knew exactly what she wanted, but he wasn't about to give it to her just yet. Instead, he went back to the ice cream and dragged his fingers through it, gathering a bigger scoop before bringing it back to her core.
Y/n gasped, tugging at his hair. He slowly painted her folds with the cold, sweet treat before blowing gently on the ice cream covered area - making her squirm and shiver at the sudden temperature change. Only then did he lean in, flattening his tongue and lapping at her like she was his favorite dessert - ice cream and all.
âshit, James!â y/n's hips arched off the counter.
He groaned against her, the vibrations sending shivers through her core. The ice cream was melting quickly against her hot flesh, creating a sweet mess between her legs that he was more than happy to clean up. He circled her clit slowly, teasingly with his tongue while sucking gently.
He could feel her getting closer, her legs trembling around his ears. With one final long lick from her entrance to her clit, he sucked the sweet treat off her sensitive bud and pushed two fingers inside her - curling them upwards instantly hitting that spot that made her cry out his name loudly.
James hooked his fingers upward, hitting her g-spot deliberately as he sucked hard on her clit - the combination sending her over the edge instantly. âshit, I'm coming!" y/n cried out as she came apart on his fingers and tongue.
He didn't let up, riding out her orgasm with his mouth while his fingers kept moving inside her, drawing it out until she was a shaky, boneless mess on the counter. When she finally stopped trembling, he pulled back slowly, licking his fingers clean with a satisfied groan.
James stood up, his eyes dark with desire as he looked down at the woman splayed out on his kitchen counter. She was gorgeous, messy, and completely satisfied - at least for now. He unbuckled his belt slowly, his voice low and commanding: âStay right thereâ
He pushed his pants and boxers down just enough to free his hard cock, giving it a few pumps. God, she looked so fuckable right now - all boneless and covered in melting ice cream and her own arousal. He stepped between her legs again, his tip nudging her entrance.
Without warning, he grabbed her hips and slammed into her completely sheathing himself in her wet heat with one thrust. âFuckâ he groaned, eyes rolling back slightly at how good she felt. He started to move immediately, setting a rough pace that had the counter shaking beneath them.
âshit, James!â she gasped. "Don't stopâ
He wouldn't dream of stopping now that he was finally inside her again after days without this sweet pussy wrapping around his cock perfectly like it was made for him alone. He leaned forward catching her legs over his shoulders opening her wider for deep strokes that hit her cervix each time making them both moan loudly together.
Just as y/n broke eye contact to let her head fall back she felt something cold drip from her collarbone down one of her breasts. He had scooped more ice cream from the container with his free hand, drizzling it down her chest. James smirked slightly as he watched the melted ice cream drip down her chest, following it with his eyes before leaning down to lick it off her breast and up her neck before capturing her mouth in a messy kiss that tasted like vanilla and her.
Y/n gasped, fisting his hair in her hands. James loved how clingy she got during sex - her legs wrapping around his waist, her arms around his neck, her mouth always seeking his. He was fucking her hard and fast against the counter, ice cream smeared between them, and she was perfect. âGonna fill you upâŚâ
âshit, yes!â y/n said, her voice coming out in a tone that teetered between a squeak and a moan. âJamie, pleaseâ
Hearing her call him Jamie during sex always did something to him. It was intimate, needy - exactly how he wanted her right now. He snapped his hips forward harder, hitting that spot deep inside her that made her eyes roll back. âFuck babyâŚâ
âJames!â she cried out, nails digging into his shoulders. âI need to cumâ
âI know you do, babyâ He groaned, feeling her pussy clamp down on him desperately as he kept a punishing pace. He reached between them to rub her clit roughly with his thumb while he leaned down to bite and suck at her ice cream covered tits. âCome for meâ
Y/n exploded instantly, her pussy squeezing him like a vice as she screamed his name. He loved how responsive she was - how she always came so easily for him. He kept fucking her through her orgasm, drawing it out until she was shaking and soaking wet. âGood girlâŚâ
He felt his own orgasm building, his balls tightening as he chased his release. He buried his face in her neck, biting down hard on her shoulder as he came undone with a loud groan. He filled her up like he promised, pumping her full of his hot cum while his hips jerked against hers spastically.
James then pulled out slowly, watching as his cum leaked out of her red, swollen pussy. He looked down at their bodies - ice cream smeared on her chest, hickeys on her breasts, his release leaking down her thighs.
âDamnâ y/n said softly and breathlessly.
James groaned in agreement, running a hand through his messy hair. âJesus fuckâ He looked at her for a moment before letting out a dark chuckle. âYou're a mess,â He said, wiping some ice cream off her cheek with his thumb. âAnd I fucking love itâ
âI'm all stickyâŚâ
âMmm, sticky and full of my cumâ He smacked her ass lightly, smiling when she giggled. âAnd ice cream, don't forget the ice creamâ He leaned in and licked her neck, tasting vanilla and sex.
Y/n giggled softly, lazily pushing at his chest because she was ticklish there. She couldn't help but love how he could be so dominating during sex then immediately going back to the doofuses she knew and loved.
James caught her hands, bringing them to his mouth to kiss her knuckles. He was hard again already - watching his cum leak out of her was honestly the hottest thing he'd ever seen - but he knew she needed a break. Y/n cupped his jaw, gently brushing his cheek with her thumb.
He leaned into her touch like a puppy, his eyes closing briefly as he enjoyed the gentle moment after their intense round of countertop sex. He turned his face to press a soft kiss to her palm before nuzzling against her hand like an affectionate puppy.
âI need a showerâ she sighs.
âMm, me too,â He said, looking down at their bodies again. âWe're basically a porn scene right now,â He laughed softly, watching as more of his release leaked out of her. âYou wanna shower together?â He asked quietly, already knowing what her answer would be.
âYou want round 2 in the shower?â y/n smirked lazily as she slowly sat up on the counter, wrapping her arms around his neck.
James smirked back, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her closer. âBaby, I always want round 2 with you,â He murmured against her lips before kissing her deeply. âAnd yeah, shower sex sounds freaking perfect right nowâ He lifted her up easily, carrying her towards the bathroom.
He carried her down the hall, kicking the bathroom door open. The warm spray of water filled the room in seconds as James reached in and turned the handle. Steam curled around them both.
He set her down gently, eyes dragging over her body like he was memorizing every sweet-smudged inch. âGet in,â he murmured, voice low, âbefore I put you back on the counter and start overâ
Y/n stepped under the water, letting it wash over her skin, sighing as the heat melted the last of the stickiness away. James followed her in, shutting the glass door behind him. His hands were on her instantly - her hips, her waist, her jaw - pressing her back against the tiled wall as the water streamed over both of them.
Y/nâs breath caught. âJames -â
He kissed her hard, water dripping from his hair onto her lips. âRound two,â he murmured against her mouth, voice deep and hungry, âand this time⌠no ice cream to distract meâ His hands slid lower.
The rest blurred into heat and water and breathless laughter, the steam fogging the glass as his body pressed tightly against hers.

It started with the little gestures; his offers to prepare your food just so, the little snacks he saved for you when he knew you were going to sneak into the kitchen for a midnight snack. The herbal tea blends when he learned your favorites. It wasnât hard to fall for him. You found comfort in the faint scent of herbs and spices mixed with a tinge of tobacco that started to linger in your room for all the time he spent in your bed.Â
At first, youâd roll your eyes when he fawned over you. Realizing how much he admired the female form with hearts in his eyes and a trickle of blood from his nose when approached by a beautiful woman. But his charm, caring nature for his crew except for Zoro , and devotion to them slowly morphed your initial thoughts of him.Â
Helping him prepare meals or clean up after dinners, you slowly began to chip away at the exterior that was Vinsmoke Sanji and he settled a place in your heart that began to bloom. Lingering glances turned into lingering touches which led to stolen nights together. The crew knew something was going on between you two, but neither of you had labeled it. There was merely an understanding between you both. You were his and he was yours.
âMmphâ, you catch your moan as you bite your lip. Your skin littered with small beads of sweat and bites, evidence of his worship tonight. âF-fuck, Sanji, r-right there,â you whisper breathily in his ear. âAnything for you, my dear,â he pants. Youâre pressed against your cabin wall, his tight grip on your waist holding you steady as he shamelessly ruts into you.
Youâre lost in the feeling of his hot breath in your ear as he occasionally pulls your earlobe between his teeth, biting and sucking the crook of your neck, and rolls his hips as he slams into you. Adjusting you, pulling your back flush to his chest as one arm moves across you to grab your bouncing breasts, kneading it desperately. His other hand splayed on your abdomen, gripping you possessively.Â
The sounds of your ragged breaths and skin meeting skin fills the room. You feel your orgasm coming quickly as he grips you tightly, you feel like itâs only the two of you in existence. His pace quickens and becomes more erratic. âFuck, my love, you were made for me,â he growls in your ear. You reach up, gripping his arm across your chest, your nails leaving crescent indents in them with each drag of his cock. âGive it to me my sweet, let me feel you.â With his filthy praise his possessive hold, you do. Your orgasm washes over you as you clench and pulse around him. He whimpers and moans as you fall apart while he fucks you through your high.Â
He pulls back, leaving you breathless still, as he turns you around. Picking you up with ease as he kisses your neck and jaw, making his way to your lips. Your legs wrap around his hips as he lines himself back up to your quivering cunt. Plunging back into you, he kisses you deeply, swallowing your moans as he takes what he needs. âHow? How did I get so lucky to have you like this?â he asks. Youâre too fucked out to respond as he watches your head fall back against the wall, eyes shut tightly in bliss. âTell me how I make you feel,â he moans.Â
âFuck, Sanji. Y-you make me feel so good. I love how you fuck me, please- please donât stop,â you whine as he has you quickly approaching another orgasm. If thereâs anything youâve learned about Sanji, he thrives on praise. Your words have him quickly unraveling as he continues pounding into you chasing his high.Â
Your hand cards through his hair and grips it, pulling his head slightly back as you shatter around him again, âS-shit, Sanji, yes! Make me yours,â you cry out as you cum. He whimpers as he slams into you to the hilt as he finishes with you. You feel him pulsing as his release fills you, dripping out as he pumps in and out slowly until heâs completely spent.Â
His forehead resting on yours as you both pant, trying to collect your breaths. He slowly sets you down, steadying you as you get your footing. He kisses you again, deeply, slowly, full of love and you warmly return the kiss. In your foggy, post coital haze, you rest your head on his chest, âI love you, Sanji,â you murmur.Â
You didnât notice how his body stiffened for a moment at your confession. You didnât notice how he never returned your first declaration of love to him. He huffs into your hair as he presses a kiss to your head, âLetâs get you cleaned up and in bed, my sweet.â
The next morning, you wake up to an empty bed. Itâs not alarming, considering how early Sanji wakes to prep for the day and get breakfast started. But suddenly you remember the night before and your stomach drops. Shit, did I really tell him I loved him last night? I didnât want to tell him post sexâŚfuck. Itâs not like you were afraid Sanji wouldnât return the love, but you find yourself half embarrassed that after good sex you couldnât keep it to yourself. You wanted to tell him outside of physical intimacy. Neither of you have said it to each other before. It seemed silly, but you wanted it to feel more special.
After youâve gotten ready for the day, you make your way to the kitchen, following the smell of coffee and pancakes. Youâre last to the table but just in time for Namiâs instructions as you all approach the Sabaody archipelago. You peer over at Sanji but notice the energy is off. He smiles at you as he works around the kitchen, but it feels forced. Putting you on edge as you return to your spiraling thoughts you thought you shook off when you woke up.Â
After breakfast, you insisted on helping Sanji with cleanup. âHey,â you say as you bump your hip into his, âAre you ok?â Sanji gives you a saccharine sweet smile, âAbsolutely, my dear,â as he continues to clean up Luffyâs mess. You donât quite believe him.
âIf itâs about last night,â you sigh, âI know I kind of sprung that on you. You donât have to feel pressured to say it back.â Your stomach begins to turn as you feel panic flutter in your chest. He leans over slightly and the corner of his lip turns up in a crooked smile, âWhat did I do to deserve you angel?â He presses a quick kiss to your head.Â
Despite his words and smile, it still feels forced and you worry that you scared him off, but youâre afraid to press anymore. Youâve known him for a long time, but you realize that you donât know much about his past. Maybe heâs been hurt in the past and just hasnât moved past it? I should just drop it where it is and not push him away, you think to yourself. So you do just that, dropping it altogether and trying to contain the worry that now sits in your chest.
The rest of the day, you pull back a bit, trying to give him space. You decide to focus on your chores and getting in some time with Nami and Robin. Hopefully they can help keep your mind off of things. Robin, ever perceptive, notices youâre off. âY/N, is everything alright?â she asks, snapping you out of your thoughts. Nami curiously glances over. You clear your throat, âU-uh, yea! Just lost in thought, I guess.â Robin nods, choosing her approach carefully. Nami opens her mouth to say something but is abruptly cut off.
âNami-swan, Robin-chan!â you hear Sanji call out in a sing-song voice as he comes outside. Robin sets her book down at the table next to you and Nami, sunbathing on the Sunnyâs deck, and you both raise up to your elbows. âI made beverages for you three beautiful angels!â As he approaches with the drink tray, itâs not lost on the three of you that while he made a beverage for you, he didnât address you when walking outside.Â
âThank you, Sanji. These look perfect,â Robin smiles as she takes a drink. Sanji leans over, moving the tray down to you and Nami. You mumble your thanks as you take your drink and Sanji smiles as he bows out and returns to the kitchen. You look over at Nami, who is glaring at you. âSpill it, Y/N. Whatâs going on?â she barks.Â
You sigh, âOkâŚfine. I need some advice anyway.â You tell them how things started between you and Sanji from the beginning. Robin is calmly listening, quietly soaking up the story youâre weaving and Nami is just enjoying some gossip. âAnd last night, GOD, you guysâŚ.it was so fucking good. But I think I may have ruined it. I told him I loved him. Which to be fair, is totally true, but I dunnoâŚ.I wanted to wait to tell him in a different situation, ya know? And now, heâs been really dodgy since. Like, heâs trying to avoid me, but when he canât heâs having to force like he wants me around and I just donât know what to do or how to fix this. I told him this morning that there was absolutely no pressure to tell me he loved me backâŚ.â you pause as you pick your cuticles and try to fight back the tears welling up, âbut heâs so willing to show women he loves them but heâs being SO weird now.â
âHmm,â Robin hums as she contemplates the situation. âSomething is definitely off. Youâre absolutely right. Sanji thrives on female attention, and what better than to have the devotion you have expressed to him.â Nami scoffs, âI canât believe that jackass! Zoro is right - Lovesick cook. Want me to smack some sense into him?â she smiles. You recognize her attempt to make you laugh but can only muster a small smile. âI feel like I should give him some space. I mean, we spend all this time together, but in reality, I donât know much about his past. No more than the rest of you, I mean. I wonder if he was just really heartbroken at some point and just isnât readyâŚI really do love him. I meant it when I said it.â
âWell, you do need to talk to him. Communication is key if you want this relationship to grow,â Robin says. Nami nods in agreement, âYea. I mean these boys are totally clueless so youâre going to have to talk to him to figure out where youâre both at. You canât ignore it forever. Itâll be ok, no matter how it shakes out. You have us!â Nami chirps as she squeezes your shoulder in reassurance. You smile, âThanks you two. Really. I think Iâll talk to him when we get to Sabaody. That way we can get some privacy and if we need more space, with whatever happens, we can get it.â
Nami and Robin, while giving you more to think about, were also a welcome reprieve from your own thoughts the rest of the day. As youâre getting ready for bed, you pad your way quietly to the kitchen for your evening cup of tea. Walking through the door, you see Sanji. Leaning against the counter, back facing you as he smokes a cigarette. âHey,â you nearly whisper, making Sanji jump slightly. He turns around quickly, âOh! Y/N! How may I serve you lo-,â he stops himself and clears his through, âmy sweet.â
LoveâŚ.he never had a problem calling me that before.
You wrap your arms around yourself, pulling in the sides of your robe as if it would provide you any protection from whatever this was. âUhmâŚIâm just getting my tea for the evening,â you point to the kettle throwing a tight lipped smile in his direction. âPlease, allow me,â he gestures to a stool at the counter. âUh, okay. Thank you, Sanji,â you awkwardly mumble.Â
He starts the kettle for you but what has only been a short moment in silence, feels like an eternity. âSanji,â he stills, his back still turned to you as he preps your teacup, âLookâŚI'm not going to take back what I said,â you can barely hear yourself talk because the thrumming of your heartbeat is so loud in your ears,âI meant it. I doâŚlove you. There's no pressure to say it back so please don't think you're obligated to. But I need to know, are weâŚ..are we ok?â You fight to keep your voice from trembling as you feel like you're overheating from anxiety.Â
He stops and his shoulders slump down. He puts out his cigarette and sighs after a deep breath. Turning around to you, he cradles your face in his hands as he stares intensely into your eyes, half his face shrouded by the shadow his hair casts. âY/N, angel, my sweet. I have been privileged to have spent what time I have in your graces,â he pauses, leaving you teetering on the edge of hope and heartbreak.Â
His thumb gently grazes your cheekbone as he looks at you with admiration but a deep sadness behind his glossy eyes. âBut- I-I'm not good enough for your love. I don't deserve it, I'm not worthy of your admiration. I think it's best that we end this where it is. I can't give you the future you deserve...the love you deserve.âÂ
There it is. Your stomach drops and your world feels like itâs tilting as your heart threatens to shatter into pieces.
âWhat?! What do you mean?â You plead, searching his face for something, anything other than the decision he's left you with. You step back, your hands balled into a fist on your chest, as if the feeling of your nails digging into your palm will make the feeling in your gut go away.Â
His hands fall to his sides, âI'm sorry, Y/N. I'm afraid I can't reciprocate the love you have for me.â And just like that, your heart shatters. You pull your lips into a thin line and nod as the world falls around you, feeling more numb by the second. âI, umm, I have to go,â you mumble as you quickly turn to leave the kitchen. You werenât going to let him see you fall apart.
As you try to lull yourself to sleep, your mind races. Taking deep breaths, your tears begin to fall, silently rolling down your cheek to collect on your pillow as the ache in your chest grows. Trying to keep it together only makes the emotions spam in your chest. So you sob as you lie there until you fall asleep. What a fool youâve been. You were giving him pieces of yourself and he only took what he wanted.
The next morning, you wake up. Opening your eyes that are puffy and burning, surely theyâre bloodshot. You rub them trying to scrub away the evidence of the night before. Trying to hide how much heâs broken you. Luckily, the other guys donât notice and Sanji is avoiding you. Robin and Nami certainly do but they donât press. Assuming theyâll get a chance to talk to you later about it.Â
As you all take in the sights of Sabaody, the horrors you eventually uncover do well to push the hurt from your mind. You soon find yourselves fighting out of the Auction House and running to try to get back to the ship.
âWe canât stay together!! Split up and run away!â Luffy shouts amidst the screaming and smoke surrounding you all. Despite your better judgement, your heart takes you to Usopp as he helps Sanji try to escape, shielded by Brook. And to your horror, just like Zoro, with one swipe, Brook disappears. You scramble, âBRING THEM BACK! ZORO! BROOK!!,â you scream, running toward Kuma thinking for just a delusional second that you could take him.But with another swipe, you disappear.Â
At some point, you finally come to. Or have you? Where am I? Am IâŚmoving? You look around you, surrounded by sky, encased in aâŚbubble? Looking down, you panic as you see the open ocean beneath you. Your body recoils on instinct but goes nowhere. Iâm stuckâŚfloatingâŚ.in a bubbleâŚ.where the hell am I going? And HOW?! But your mind suddenly clears, This means that everyone is alive! But where is everyone?
You lose track of time, but after what feels like an eternity, you see a small island on the horizon slowly getting closer. Is this where Iâm finally going to land? You quickly realize, the island is coming up much too quickly and you have no way of slowing down. You feel your stomach fall as you brace for impact. Crashing onto the island, you slam through branches, shielding your head you feel a crack in your forearm as you tumble on the ground and your vision goes dark.Â
You wake up again but are greeted with a pounding headache and aching body before you even open your eyes. As you shift slightly, you crack open your eyes to be greeted by dappled sunlight pouring through the trees as birds chirp around you. The lull of the ocean waves should calm you. It would normally calm you but the events of the last coupleâŚfew?...days have finally come crashing down on you.Â
Groaning as you get up, you bring your arms up and press your palms against your temples only to be stopped short of a searing pain in your right forearm. âShit!â you hiss. Pulling your arm down, you inspect it, finding a large lump and bruise from your crash landing. âFuck,â you whisper, âI think itâs broken.â You sigh heavily. Fucking wonderful.
Your stomach growls, bringing your attention to the rest of your body. Itâs battered, bruised, and tired. After all the fighting on Sabaody and now your crash landing, itâs a miracle youâre still in one piece. But your stomach quickly reminds you that you havenât eaten or drank anything in god knows how long. Getting up slowly, you dust yourself as best you can with one arm. I need to find shelterâŚ.foodâŚ.water. I need to find out where I am. You begin walking toward the sound of the waves. If thereâs anyone on this island, there will be some signs along the coast. A port, a path to town. Something.Â
Thereâs nothing. Youâre all alone on this island, except for the wildlife. You begin to feel somewhat hopeless as you realize the trouble youâre in. A possibly broken arm. No food, no tools, nothing to help you catch food, at least you found a source of freshwater. But your situation seems to become more dire the longer you think about it.Â
You continue walking, hoping to forage for mushrooms, or fruit. Anything that this island can give you easily. Holding your right arm close, you hold the fruits you luckily find outside of the canopy of trees and find a spot under the tree line at the beach to eat as you stare out into the horizon. It helps for a bit, but itâs not enough. Your stomach still grumbles at the meager offering you provide.Â
Minutes sitting in what seems to be paradise turn into hours or maybe days as you think of what you can do as you try to push away the thoughts of this becoming your resting place. Your thoughts turn to your crew and you feel a tear roll down your cheek, warm at first but chilling under the sea breeze blowing off the water. As if to torture you further, your mind wanders to your last conversation with Sanji, âI think it's best that we end this where it is. I can't give you the future you deserve.â and you scoff. âSome fucking futureâŚâ you mumble to yourself. Maybe itâll be easier if it just all stops now.
As you push your feet into the beach sand, you hear a troop of monkeys as they climb across the trees above you. You look up as they stop above you, surprised to see you there as they chitter to each other as if they were asking the same question you were asking yourself, âWhat the hell are you doing here?â As they move on quickly, something is knocked loose and tumbles through the branches down to land on your head as it falls to the ground in front of you. âOw! Get out of here you little shits!â you yell as you throw a small rock by your feet. They screech and scatter as you take stock of what hit you and your eyes grow wide.Â
A shiny silver fruit. The skin on it looks liquid, like mercury. A devil fruit? Seriously? What sick twisted fate is this? Youâre stuck on a remote island with little food and what does the universe give you? A fucking devil gets dumped into your lap. You grab it and bring it closer to inspect. You swear you hear it hum as you bring it closer, turning it as it glints in the sunlight. You put it in your pocket. âIâll save you for when Iâm desperate,â you mumble.
Hunger grips its claws into you the next day. The fruit youâve been able to forage for just isnât enough. Especially with your injuries. By that evening, you feel feverish and begin to wonder if you should just accept your fate on this god forsaken island. Surely just falling asleep and never waking up would be better than trying to find your way back to the crew. To face a life living with Sanji on the ship after everything. A quiet death seems better.Â
You find yourself dipping in and out of consciousness. Your thoughts are full of fever dreams. You wake briefly, parched, and shift for water to wet your lips. Crawling to the banana leaves you keep close with collected water and sip slowly. Pulling some berries and small fruit out of your pocket you eat what left you have. Your last bite is bitter but you eat anyway, out of pure instinct to survive. Choking it down, you take another sip of water. And your eyes snap open at the realization of what youâve done. Fuck! I ate it. Your exhaustion fights you as you try to sit up but you feel heavy like lead and your veins feel like theyâre on fire. You canât bring yourself to move anymore and again you fall into the dark your body seems to keep reaching for.Â
âCaptain! Look!.....Isnât that Y/N! From the Straw Hats!â
âIs she ok?â
âHer arm looks fuuucked.â
âTchâ
âPenguin!â
âSorry, it does.â
âIs she still alive?â
Your eyes snap open like youâve just woken from a nightmare. Dripping in cold sweat you look around and shuffle before you realize whatâs going on. Sitting up on your forearms, and you wince. Looking down, you see it wrapped in bandages. Wait, what the fuck. Youâre in a cold room. It looks clinicalâŚ.feels clinical, Where the hell am I? Was it all a dream?Â
âItâs about time you woke up,â a gruff voice says from behind you. You turn and see him. Trafalgar Law, Captain of the Heart PiratesâŚ.a rival crew. Shit. I shouldâve wished for death on the island more. âUh,â you clear your throat, âHow long was I out?â you ask, trying to steel your nerves. He shifts his weight as he stands there watching you, âTwo weeks. I patched up your arm, but you should still take it easy. You were pretty badly injured.â
You sit up, grazing your hand over your arm. That must be why it didnât hurt that bad when I sat up. âOhâŚthanks. Look-â before you can finish your thought, Law interrupts you. âYou need to learn to control your devil fruit powers better. You ruined my examination table.â
âMy what?â
âYour devil fruit power. I donât know what it is, but it has something to do with metal. You melted parts of my table and warped others when I was trying to patch you up. It wasnât fucking cheap,â he muttered in annoyance.Â
âIâŚIâm sorry. I was delirious on the islandâŚ.I ate it by accident,â you nearly whisper in shame. His tone certainly doesnât do anything to help you try to remain calm. Forcing you to fall into yourself.
âWhat?! Are you serious?!â his arms drop to his sides. He sighs as he runs his hand down his face, âYouâve got to be fucking kidding me,â he grumbles into his hand.Â
âWhat the fuck do you want from me?!â you break out in anger. Itâs easier to deal with. âI didnât fucking ASK for any of this. To be separated from my crew, to break and nearly die on some god forsaken remote island!â you shout. Your face feels warm and your chest feels flushed as you lean into turning your heartbreak into anger. âYou shouldâve just fucking left me. Why the hell were you even there? Why bring me back? Why help me?!â
Law shifts, âWe got word of a bounty we could cash in on that island. And lo and behold, you were there.â
Where the fuck is he going with this? Is he going to turn me in? Your thoughts betray you as he sees the color fall from your face.Â
Law feels bad for a moment but hides it behind his usual scowl, âDonât fucking worry. Iâm not taking you to the marines. Rayleigh told us to come here to collect something. But we searched the island and only found you.â
His words clearly donât compute. You sit there, studying him and processing what he just said. Rayleigh? And suddenly your thoughts return to Sabaody, only to be broken by a newspaper being thrown at you showing Luffy on the front page. You read it and your heart breaks.
AceâŚLuffyâŚ.
You look up at Law, glassy-eyed as the tears welling there threaten to fall. Law clears his throat, âAnyway. Looks like Rayleigh sent us your way and while you were out, we saved Straw Hat. He wants you all to train. Get stronger. Weâre bringing you back to Sabaody in 2 years.â
You donât say anything as you process everything still. âWait! Luffy is here!? I have to see him!â
âTch! No, heâs not here. We already dropped him off.â
As quickly as it came, your excitement at seeing Luffy was gone. Two yearsâŚ..Two years to get stronger. Two years to master this devil fruitâŚ
Metal-metal
Is that the fruit? How do I just KNOW that?
âYou have another day of rest. Then, your ass is getting to work. Youâll help on the ship to pay back the damages to my equipment.â Law tosses you your cleaned clothes and suddenly you realize youâre only in a patient gown. âWe start training next week,â and he turns to walk out of your quarters.Â
âW-wait!â you reach out. âWhy are you doing all of this? Why help a rival crew?â
Law smirks like he knows something he wonât tell you. âGet some rest. Doctorâs orders,â he barks as he walks out of the room, shutting the door behind him. Leaving you with more questions and not enough answers.
Two days later, youâre awoken by a sharp knock on your door. You grumble into the covers as you roll over to your side, pulling the blanket over your face trying to chase sleep. The door is shoved open and you hear steps coming inside.Â
âTchâ Law blows air through his teeth in annoyance. âGet up. Letâs go. Crew meeting in 30 minutes. Weâre going over schedules this week,â and you feel something land on the bed beside you with a thump. You turn over glaring angrily at the bossy Captain, only to be met with an equally contemptuous expression. âYour repayment starts today. Training starts next week,â as he swiftly walks out slamming the door behind him.
What an asshole! I have to deal with this shit for two fucking years? You look over and see what he left on your bed. AâŚboiler suitâŚwith the Heart Pirates logo on it. You sigh and roll over, trying to will yourself to get up but now that your body has healed physically, your brain decides its best to drudge up emotional damage that youâve been glad has been buried under everything else.
You find yourself in the submarineâs galley, surrounded by unfamiliar faces that side eye you as hushed whispers fill the room. You clasp your hands together, picking at your knuckles to ease your nerves. Law stands up, âRotations are posted for the week,â the room gets quiet as attention shifts to him. âY/N will be with us for a while. Her rotations are shared for the first month so you can train her if sheâs on your shift.â The crew nods as their glances shift from him to you.
You feel uncomfortable in the spotlight and find yourself fighting to make yourself seem smaller. Itâll be fine. You try to calm yourself. Itâs only temporary. You nod in Lawâs direction when he makes eye contact with you. He clears his throat, âAlright everyone. Back to work.âÂ
As the crew dismisses, you cautiously sit and a woman approaches you, âIâm Ikkaku,â she reaches her hand out to shake yours. âFinally, another fucking woman,â she huffs as she rolls her eyes. It takes you off guard and makes you chuckle. âY/N..â
âWell, looks like your first shift is with me. Weâll get started after we eat breakfast,â she nods back to Bepo. âYouâre lucky. This week Bepo is on food duty. Thank god itâs not Penguin. That wouldnât be a very nice welcome.â
âHey! I heard that Ikkaku! Big talk coming from someone who burns fucking water!â Penguin shouts as he approaches, a vein in his temple ready to burst.
You snicker as he sits in front of you, âPenguin,â as he points to himself, thatâs âShachi,â jutting his thumb to his right. You converse with the crew as they introduce themselves to you. Theyâre so bright and friendly. Totally not what you expected from their broody Captain. You begin to relax as the conversations come and go, your focus on them and not said broody Captain watching you from the other side of the room.Â
Despite having tasks to learn and complete during the day and getting to know your temporary crew, your days still come and go as if you were on autopilot. Wake up, eat, work, eat, sleep. Itâs all you can muster. You feel numb but at least a routine keeps you from going crazy.
I canât give you the life you deserve.
It still rings in your head.
It isnât lost on Law. He sees the empty smiles. Only because heâs so familiar with it. The charade of putting on that act.He doesnât ask, reminding himself he shouldnât care.
The next week, at the crew meeting, he announces that there will be a stop for supplies. Thank god. I get to fucking see sunlight! You couldnât understand how the rest of the crew got used to not seeing the sun. One of the best parts of being a pirate was experiencing life on the sea. The wind in your hair, the sun warming your skin, the smell of the waves as they crashed on the bow of the ship as it carved a path across the world. For the first time in weeks, you finally feel some glimmer of happiness with the prospect of having the ground beneath you and the sun kissing your skin.
Finally, the Polar Tang has surfaced off the coast of some island. You and the crew filter out getting ready for long overdue shore leave after your supplies are gathered and brought back to the ship.
âY/N-ya..â Law calls to you. You turn around, âLaw.â He pauses for a moment, âWhen you return, meet me on the beach there,â as he points, âWeâll start your training.â You raise an eyebrow in response. âI did some research on the fruit you ate. Clearly it has some metal altering properties. I found a list of possible fruits, I think itâs the-â
âMetal Metal fruit,â you reply.
He glares at you, slightly annoyed for being cut off. âYes. Reading about it, you can manipulate metal. You can also draw out metal from materials. Considering you are on my ship, you need to learn to get a better control of it sooner rather than later.â
You nod in acknowledgement. âOkay, Law.â Itâs all you can muster. Itâs just another task, another thing to add to your list of things to do in the day to ignore the hole in your heart. You know you should probably deal with it at some point. But right now, itâs easier to bury it. Pretend it doesn't exist.Â
âI want you to try to shape this into a sphere.â
âWhat?â You look at Law skeptically as he holds out a fork to you.
âYou heard me. The only way youâre going to get more familiar with your powers is to use them. This seems basic enough. Take this fork, change its shape. Try to make a sphere,â he deadpans.Â
Does he ever relax? Heâs always so fucking serious.
Law watches you as you reach out to take the fork from his hand. Bringing it to eye level, you lower it and close your hands around it. Trying to focus on the task being asked of you. Without warning it melts down to liquid that slips out of your hand and between your fingers. âShit!â you try to catch the droplets of metal as they fall out of your hand, trying to will it back to something easier to handle. But all thatâs left in your hand is the tines and a small piece of the handle. The rest is lost in the sand. You huff in frustration.Â
Law hands you another fork. âAgain.â You look at him quizzically. âReally? You just have a pile of forks for me to fuck up?â Law fights a smirk at your remark and simply nods to suppress the chuckle he fights back, hoping you donât notice.Â
You do.
This goes on for an hour and youâre left sitting on the sand in a frustrated huff. Arms hanging over your knees as you dejectedly hang your head. Law sits down beside you. âYou need a clear head to focus your efforts. We can take a break. Weâll be here for a couple days. Keep practicing.â He sets down the remaining stack of forks next to you.
You nod. Clear headâŚyea. I wish I could empty this fucking brain. Stop those stupid thoughts.
Your heart clenches again at Sanjiâs words. Itâs been a few weeks but it still feels fresh. Like it happened yesterday, and you feel heavy again. You find yourself fighting tears. Your lip quivering as you try to fight it back. But holding it all in and now with the added frustration of trying to control something you were never prepared for, the levee begins to break.
Law hears sniffles and looks over, clearly surprised, heâs left in shock unsure of what to do at the sight of you crying. You wipe your face quickly, trying to reel it in but it only seems to make it worse. Your sob rips itself from your chest and feels like itâs climbing up your throat.
He clears his throat and shifts to leave and give you space but you reach out, grabbing his forearm to stop him. Fearing being alone, you mumble, âP-pleaseâŚplease donât go. I donât want to be alone.â
He clears his throat again, like itâs a nervous tic, âU-uhâŚsure. Okay.,â he quietly relents as he returns to sitting, your hand still on his forearm. He cautiously places his hand on top of it, patting it gently and awkwardly, wondering what to do.
You half chuckle as you cry, âOne, Iâm not a dog and two, Iâm not diseasedâŚ.I just,â you pause, âA lot happened prior to getting separated from my crew..and I justâŚ.I just donât want to feel alone. You need me with a clear head, yes?â you look up at him. He nods.
You sniffle and nod back, âThen Iâm clearing it. But itâs messy up here,â as you point to your head, you chuckle in slight embarrassment. He gives you a tight lipped but small smirk like he knows exactly what you mean.Â
After a few minutes, Law breaks the silence between your sniffles, âIfâŚif itâll help you clear your head and to focus your energy more on honing your abilitiesâŚ.you can talk to me,â he quietly offers.
You close your eyes and bite your lip nervously. âMaybe in timeâŚ.but right now. It hurts. Too much. I just donât want to be alone.â You lean over and rest your head on Lawâs shoulder and he stiffens, not expecting the contact. âThank you. Even though youâre grumpy as fuckâŚ.thank you for helping me,â you whisper trying to fight a giggle.
Law deadpans at you, forcing your laughter to grow at his annoyed expression. âYou crack yourself up, huh? Get back to training,â he barks as he shrugs your head off his shoulder. Your laughter grows as you wipe your tears from your face, finally feeling a little lighter. If only for a moment.Â
Your training with him continues over the next few months as you find yourself in a rhythm with the crew. Things start to feel more normal. You still half dread seeing everyone again, mostly because you are unsure of how the dynamic of being on the ship will change after everything. But the weight doesnât feel as heavy as it did. More like something you can handle carrying everyday.Â
You laugh more freely, you joke and banter with your new found family. Law has seen it. Seen the shift that looks like the world isnât as heavy as it used to be. He finds himself thinking about you constantly. What happened to dull the bright person you so obviously are. You still havenât told him what happened prior to Sabaody, but the relationship between you two, spending so much time training together has become charged.Â
He canât tell you that heâs developed feelings for you. Where would it lead? Youâre a Straw Hat. Youâre training to get back to your crew. Heâs not even sure you have the same feelings for him. Sure, you flirt and tease. But he doesnât want to make the assumption. Could it be easier to just ignore it? Maybe. Itâs easier to ignore it than deal with whatever is happening between you two. So he presses on, trying to keep you at armâs length but as you continue to heal and grow, honing your newfound skills and discovering your confidence, he finds it more difficult to ignore.
âHey,â you poke your head into Lawâs office, breaking him from his thoughts. You check the hall, sneaking into his office and closing the door behind you. âIâm not interrupting your brooding am I?â you snicker.
Law rolls his eyes and sighs, âNo more than usual, Y/N-ya.â
âOk, good. I snagged this behind Penguinâs watchful eye in the kitchen and was wondering if you would keep me company,â you beamed, holding out a bottle of booze. Before he could protest, you puffed up your chest and lowered your voice in your best mocking tone, âY/N-ya, I have work to do.â He glares, earning your laugh.
âCâmon, Captain. You need to relax,â as you open the bottle, pulling the cork top with your teeth, âYou need to clear your head, right?â as you hand him the bottle. Looking at him expectedly, your eyes glimmering. He gives you a crooked smile and swipes the bottle from your hand, âFine. Fine. To clearing our heads?â he tips the bottle toward you as a toast and takes a large swig, smacking his lips, the alcohol burns as it settles in his stomach.
You plop down in the chair across from him as you take the bottle back, taking your own gulp. You look over all the papers scattered across his desk, âSoâŚ.whatcha researching?â Law lights up and starts going over some medical paper about something, it all immediately went in one ear and out the other. You simply nod and state appropriately timed uh-huhs as he explains cellular mechanisms of some organ. All you can focus on is how handsome he is. I mean, youâve known from the start that he was attractive. But as youâve gotten to know each other more, you see that heâs not the asshole that people assume he is.Â
Yea, heâs aloof. But once you get to know him, heâs kind. Patient when itâs important to be. A TOTAL nerd. You find yourself getting butterflies in your stomach when you think about him. Not always in a sexual way. Yea, youâve helped yourself to those thoughts about him when you felt particularly pent up. But more than that. Heâs intelligent, strong, and he really cares about his crew. You never have a boring moment when talking to him. And after everything, heâs helped you feel safe, without expecting anything in return.Â
He breaks you from your thoughts tapping his finger on the desk in annoyance, âIâve lost you, havenât I. You donât care about any of this, why ask?â
You blink a few times, âHehâŚ.Sorry, you caught me. But I wanted to hear about something that you enjoy, â you take another large drink from the bottle. The warmth settles in your belly as you slowly feel the alcohol taking its effect. Law seems surprised by your answer. Feeling bolder, possibly because of the alcohol, he swipes the bottle back much to your protest, âHey! I was drinking that!â
He smirks as he takes another drink, âSo, now, your turn. Tell me, whatâs on your mind? Have you researched any more on how to extract metals from rock and soil to manipulate?â You roll your eyes, âNooo,â you sing-song in faux irritation. âIâve just been thinking,â you get quiet, trying to compose your thoughts. âIâve been grateful. You and the crew have helped me tremendously. I wasâŚâ you pause. Unsure if you want to even slightly reopen the wound of unrequited love.
You take another drink. Liquid courage, right? âI was really hurt when you guys found me. Physically, obviously, which- again- thanks for saving me,â you give Law a corny exaggerated smile, trying to coax another smile or laugh from him. Trying to deflectâŚagain. He simply shakes his head. âI was heartbroken when everything happened at Sabaody. I wasâŚsomething with Sanji.â Law goes still as he watches you try to collect your thoughts.
âI donât know. We were together? But it was never labeled. I thought we were more than what we were,â you stop to stare a hole into the floor. Looking up at the ceiling for a moment, you huff out a forced chuckle. âI told him one night, after sex, that I loved him. It wasnât because of the sex,â you quickly clarified. âBut, I did. And he got weird. I tried talking to him about it and said there was no pressure but I wanted to make sure we were ok.â You looked around the room, at nothing, eyes darting around like you were seeing something he wasnât.
âHe broke it off. Said he couldnât love me the way I deserved,â you sigh. Feeling some release saying it out in the open. But saying it out loud also made it feel more real and less like something you could just push down when your heart wanted to hurt about it again. You sighed and took another drink. âIt just made me feel foolish, and used. He was so ready and willing to declare his love for womenâŚ.just not me. When he was the one that spent countless nights in MY bed.âÂ
You looked up, seeing Law staring back at you wide eyed, it made you shift in your seat. You looked down at your hands and started fidgeting with your cuticles, âIt just feltâŚfeelsâŚreally shitty. You know?â You feel his stare boring into you. The attention makes you uncomfortable, not his gaze, but your brain buzzing about what happened. What he thinks. He probably thinks youâre foolish too.Â
You feel his warm hand reach over and pull your fidgeting hands apart. His thumb brushes over your knuckles. You look up cautiously and see Law with an unreadable expression on his face. Before you have an opportunity to deal with the uncomfortable feeling by making a joke, he surprises you. âIâm sorry. Heâs a fucking idiot.â You blink a few times, as if the action will make what he said make any more sense, but it doesnât, so you muster the only response that comes to mind, âHuh?!â
Law, definitely feeling bolder with the alcohol, stands up and moves over to you, leaning toward you as you lean back in the chair, bright eyes staring back at him. His hand moves up to hold the side of your face as his thumb gently brushes over your cheekbone. He swallows, hard, almost loud enough that you can hear it. Without giving himself time to doubt his actions any further, he leans forward and kisses you. Itâs soft, and unsure, but you move to pull him closer. Opening your lips to deepen the kiss as his tongue swipes across your lip in timid exploration.Â
The kiss grows more heated as the seconds pass, your lips fitting together perfectly, tongues meeting gently at first until his hand reaches further and grips the back of your neck as if youâll disappear if he doesnât hold you tight. His other hand comes up quickly to pull you up as he stands and without hesitation, you follow to press yourself against him, pulling your arms up under his to grip the back of his shoulders.Â
He pulls back looking down at your stunned expression, resting his forehead on yours he presses a kiss to the tip of your nose, then your cheek, and you feel his breath hit the shell of your ear, âI said,â he huffs, âHeâs a fucking moron.â
After that night, you found yourself thinking less and less of what could've been with Sanji and more about preparing for The New World with your crew. Though against your own anxious thoughts, you found yourself in another situationship with Law. But this time felt different.
It feels natural. Your affection for him grows day by day, week by week. It's easy being with this crew. It's easy talking and training with Law, so you did.Â
He was practically Sanjiâs opposite. You felt seen and heard in ways you didn't realize was missing with Sanji. His gaze and attention never went elsewhere. He didn't fawn over other women in front of you and love bomb you to make you forget. His affection was quiet, but steady. Calm. It was exactly what you needed to move on.Â
Your grasp of your devil fruit powers has exploded the past few months. You're able to extract enough metal from the ground to form a small blade. Can pretty well reshape any currently existing metal objects into a weapon or a barricade to shield yourself.Â
Which is where you find yourself now. Training again on the ship. This time you and Law decided to stay back on the Polar Tang while everyone else gathered supplies but more importantly, took a much needed break. They were the islandâs problem for the time being.Â
Your training has come far enough that Law wanted to start you at a disadvantage, up on the deck. For obvious reasons, the shipâs metal was completely off limits. As he lunges at you with Kikoku, you leap back, teetering on the edge of the deck railing, close to falling into the sea.
You continue to dodge his advances thinking how you were going to get out of this. You need to move quickly before Law decides to open his Room. You peer over the edge, looking for an out. Maybe I could swing around, under the railing? No, too risky. Suddenly you sense something under the crashing waves. It feels like muddled whispers coming from your left.
Curious about what would happen, you reach out, activating your powers, calling metal to your hand. Suddenly, metal wreckage from a shipwreck starts to surface. That's it! You call the metal you sense beneath the waves up, liquifying it as soon as it's freed from its watery grave and shape it to create a rudimentary bridge leading you to shore.Â
You laugh, caught off guard that it worked. Jumping up on the railing and off the ship. âY/N-ya!â Law yells out to you, panic on his face. He races forward stopping at the railing only to see you smirking at him as you run down your makeshift bridge to the shore. He narrows his eyes, a devilish smirk in return as he opens his Room and teleports next to you, Kikoku bearing down, ready to strike.
Quickly, you counter, summoning pieces of your bridge to fashion a crude sword. Itâs not high quality but it does the job to parry an incoming hit, but begins to chip with each hit. Finally, Law breaks your blade, cleaving it in two. The fight continues, Law continuing his advance, keeping you in a defensive position, unable to break free long enough for an offensive move.Â
After what feels like hours of this exhaustive dance, youâre dripping sweat. Such physical exertion is beginning to take its toll. Fuck, fighting on sand, in the sun, in this humidity and heat is killing me. How can I end this?! Your shoulders burn every time you have to lift your arms to parry or block, sweat dripping in your eyes causing them to sting every time you blink.Â
The stress your body is under is proving to be too much, until suddenly, you have a flashing vision. You see where Law is going to strike. It gives you the upper hand, for once. Allowing you to dodge, avoiding his thrust with Kikoku, turning behind him so you can wrap your arm across his throat, pulling his back to a new makeshift blade stopping just short of a stab.Â
Youâre both panting, trying to catch your breaths. For the first time in your training, you have finally bested Law. He chuckles as he raises his arms, pulling one hand to your forearm across his throat spinning you to face him. âYou did it. I wasnât expecting you to suddenly bring out Observation Haki. When did you learn that?â Finally beginning to catch your breath, you smile back. âUm, is that what that was? I guess just now?â you laugh as you shrug. âIt gave me the edge I needed,â you grip his forearms, pulling him to you to press a kiss to his lips. âThank god, by the way. I was beginning to peter out with that one.â
âLetâs go get cleaned up. Youâve mastered a lot today. How did you find that metal for the bridge?â watching you with curiosity. âI donât know. I was looking for an out and itâs like the metal wasâŚcalling to me? Nothing specific, but it sounded like whispers in a full room. I just reached out the same way I do with the ground, but it wasnât as clear. Maybe itâs because it was through the water?â
âWell, whatever you unlocked, great work today. Youâve really come a long way. Now, again, letâs go clean up,â Law says in your ear, his voice raspy and low. He leans down to pick you up, making you yelp in surprise as your legs instinctively wrap around him. He kisses you, deep and wanting as he Rooms you into the ship, just outside the bathrooms..
Law stumbles into the bathroom with you, both of you laughing between kisses that become more and more intense each time your lips meet again. Tongues exploring each other and you pull in Law's lip, biting down just enough to make his grip on your hips tighter.
He leans over and turns the shower on, letting the water heat up as he sets you on the counter. Pulling back to hold your face in his hands as his intense gaze bores into you. You loved him like this. His eyes shining with need and want. Your hands wraps on the back of his neck, pulling him in, you kiss him again. âI thought we needed to get cleaned up,â you smile on his lips.Â
He groans, âLet me savor this,â and he leans back, pulling your shirt over your head, tapping your hip for you to lift each side as he pulls down your pants leaving you in your underwear. His lips latch onto your neck, gently biting the sensitive flesh with his canines and slowly presses open mouthed kisses going down. On your shoulder, your collarbone, forcing you to lean back he kisses your stomach, your inner thigh. So close to where you need him the most.
âHow? How did I get so lucky to have you like this?â He asks; not necessarily to you, but the universe in general. Whatever higher power may exist. With his past, it's not lost on him when he sees what he has.Â
âPleaseâŚâ he pauses, âI need you, Law.âÂ
âAnything. Anything for you, Y/N.â His voice almost pained like he can't take it any longer either. Both of you remove any remaining clothing as he picks you up again, carrying you into the shower. He sets you down gently as his hands wander. Using the water to glide his hands effortlessly, grabbing handfuls of your thighs, hips, and up to your breasts.Â
Kneading and squeezing them, rolling your nipples between his thumb and forefinger. You gasp into his mouth at the sensation, as he simultaneously pushes his leg to the apex of your thighs and presses it into your wet, soaking heat. You chase the friction, groaning as you roll your hips, riding his leg. âSo responsive,â he growls.
You reach down to grab his throbbing length smirking when he hisses at the contact. âMmmm, I could say the same,â you chuckle as he throws his head back and moans as you twist your wrist while fisting his length.Â
He picks up your leg, throwing it over the crook of his arm and lines himself up to your entrance. Teasing you again as he rubs the tip of his cock in your slick, pressing just so on your clit. He pupils dilating as he watches you close your eyes, biting your lip.
Your eyes roll back as he presses in, inch by delicious inch to the hilt, stopping to give you only a moment to adjust. He pulls back slowly and begins thrusting into you, jolting your body against the shower wall as he kisses you. Eating your moans as he splits you open again and again, hitting that spot deep inside you each time with practiced precision.Â
You feel your stomach tightening as you clench around him fast approaching your high with the relentless pace he was now moving in, unable to contain himself any longer. Any semblance of control he had was long gone. He was lost in you, drunk off your body and the intimacy you were roiled in.
He moans, pulling you in impossibly closer, forcing your leg up higher as he opens you up more to take him. You cry out at the shift in position, feeling all of him, everywhere at once. âF-fuck, âm-close,â you whine into the small space between you.
âIâve got you- hnng- cum for me pretty,â he pants as he grips you tight. Your head falls back against the shower wall as your back arches, pressing your chest into his. Your cries get louder as he rubs tight circles on your clit. His eyes blown wide as he watches you fall apart panting breathy praises and cries of his name.Â
His lips find yours in a searing kiss and the sensation of it all sends you over the edge. Your orgasm hitting you like a wall. Your body seizing as your grip on him tightens everywhere. âFuuuuck,â he groans as your cunt flutters and pulses around him as he watches you. His pace becomes erratic as he quickens, bullying into you as you come down, prolonging your orgasm as he chases his high.Â
The bathroom, full of thick steam doing nothing to mute the sinful sounds of skin hitting skin. With a final thrust, he groans- something guttural from deep within his chest- as he presses into you further, spilling into you. He continues to fuck into you as you feel him pulsing with each press. His cum slowly drips between you as he fucks it in and out of you, both of you watching where you two meet with exasperated breath. He finally stills and releases your leg, still inside of you, as he rests his forehead on yours.
âIâm going to miss this.âÂ
âI love you.â
You freeze, having spoken at the same time as Law. Did he just sayâŚ.â
Fuck.
Law pulls out of you making you wince for a moment at the loss of him. Your mind is reeling with his confession as the warm water washes over you. HeâŚ.he loves me? Do IâŚ.do I feel the same? You question your feelings, wracking your brain at a million miles a minute. Was what you felt with Sanji not love? Was it comfort? Obsession? Hesitant to say anything out of fear of saying the wrong thing, you continue to wash yourself clean. Hoping the water rushing over you will take it away for you.Â
As if he can read your thoughts, Law pulls you out of the water, pressing a soft kiss to your temple as he exhales into your skin. âYouâre not obligated to say anything⌠I know this,â as his fingers on your side grip slightly harder, âis complicated.â He pauses, âI just didnât want you to leave without hearing it.â
You look up at him, seeing the intensity of his sincerity in his gaze as he looks back at you. You nod, breaking eye contact for a brief reprieve in the feelings swirling in your chest.Â
âIâŚ.â
âIâm trying to figure out if what I feel for you is-â
âStop. Please. I donât want you to feel obligated to say it back. Just know that whatever happens,â he brings you closer so your body is pressed flush against him as he looks down at you, âIâll wait for you.â
You lean up, pressing your lips against his with a newfound clarity. The kiss is soft, warm, comforting and quiets the turmoil in your chest and head. âIâm scared to admit that I am in love..â
âBut Iâm certainly falling.â
You step off the ship again, always enjoying when the ground is beneath your feet after another couple weeks underwater. Excitement and anxiety fill your gut at the thought of seeing the crew again. Your skills are honed far better than when Law found you. But melancholy tugs at your chest as the rest of the crew disembarks with you on Sabaody.Â
Feeling the sun warm your skin, you close your eyes and take a deep breath, humming as you exhale. Lawâs footsteps sound behind you, the crunch of the dirt beneath his boots growing louder in his approach. Turning around, you smile at him, though you can only bring yourself to plaster on a fake one as your heart feels heavier at the realization that youâre not sure when youâll see him again. You see the same feeling in his eyes as he looks at you.Â
âWalk with me to find them?â you jut your hand out, hoping heâll hold it. Any excuse to prolong contact with him. He simply nods as he reaches out to grab your hand, running his thumb along your knuckles. He turns around facing his crew, âYou all have your lists to restock. Get that taken care of and weâll take a day of shore leave.â
You begin walking quickly. Already saying your goodbyes to the crew, you canât bear standing there any longer. It tugs on your heart too much.
The walk to Shakkyâs is quiet. Both you and Law unsure what to say to each other after everything. So for now, youâll enjoy his quiet company. Until he stops you. Confused, you turn to him. Law pulls you to face him directly, holding your other hand in front of him as he tilts his head to the side, âWeâre here.â You blink several times looking at the bar, trying to clock how quickly time passed between the walk from the ship to now standing in front of Shakkyâs. Itâs loud inside. You assume everyone is already there.
You turn back to Law, tears beginning to well in your eyes and throw yourself into him, making him unsteady on his feet for a moment. Hugging him tightly, pressing your face into his chest as you feel his arms circle your back returning your tight embrace.Â
You pull back to wipe the tears from your cheeks, âLaw, I-â
âThank you. For everything,â you sniffle. âAnd Iâm going to miss thisâŚ.so much.â
He smirks as he exhales, leaning forward to press a soft kiss to your forehead. âIâŚ.I love you,â you hoarsely whisper trying not to fall apart, and you hear someone clear their throat.
Snapping your gaze toward the source of the sound, you see Luffy standing outside Shakkyâs. His fists on his hips and a wide cheesy grin plastered on his face and you begin to smile, until you realize, Sanji is behind him. His eyes wide in disbelief at the sight before him.Â
Everything you felt when you were separated comes rushing back for a fleeting second. But luckily, Luffy gives you little time to dwell, âY/N!!!!â he shouts has he stretches his arms to you ripping you out of Lawâs arms as he gives you the biggest hug youâve yet to receive from your Captain, completely taking your mind from the confession you just made to Law.
It instantly breaks you into a fit of laughter, âLuffy!â you shout as you return his warm welcome. Sanji glares daggers at Law, as Law straightens his posture, returning an inhospitable stare. Sanji reaches into his jacket pocket to retrieve a new cigarette, watching you and Luffy shouting excitedly at your reunion as he lights it, exhaling that first puff up into the air.
Youâre rambling about your newfound powers and training with Law to Luffy as the rest of the crew begin pouring out of the bar to see whatâs causing the commotion outside. And as you hug and greet and talk with the remainder of the crew, you miss Law slowly stepping back. His frown growing heavier at the thought of leaving you behind when suddenly, a stretchy arm reaches out and pulls him into the fray.Â
You giggle at his awkward and clearly mad expression when Luffy tugs him close, âShi-shi-shi,â Luffy laughs, âThanks Traffy, for helping Y/N.â
âLet me go,â Law deadpans. But unfortunately for him, Luffy doesnât get the hint. Eventually Luffy releases him, throwing his fist into the air as he walks back into the bar, âLetâs have another drink!! Everyone is here! Weâre ready for the New World,â his shouts and laughs grow muffled as he disappears into the building.Â
As the rest of the crew follows suit, slowly filing into the bar, you turn to Law. âIâŚ.Iâm going to head insideâŚbut...Iâll come say goodbye again. Donât leave without it, ok?â you sheepishly mumble. Your heart is torn between being back with your crew, but also wanting to prolong whatever time you can continue to have with Law.Â
The corner of Lawâs lip turns up in a small smirk as he throws his hands in his pockets. âYou know where weâll be,â he nods. You step forward again and kiss him, your heart bouncing between heavy and light as he deepens the kiss.Â
You pull away and begin walking backwards toward the door, watching as he turns away and quietly returns to his ship. Willing the tightness in your chest away, you turn away to walk into the bar but are abruptly stopped. Looking up, you see Sanji standing in front of you and instantly, your stomach drops.
You clear your throat, âUh, hi Sanji,â you try to stand up straight seeing the irritation and hurt on his face. âY/NâŚmy dear.â
Heâs clearly upset. The cigarette between his lip twitches as he tightens them trying to find the words to say. You grow more frustrated as he watches you. âIs there something you want to talk about?â You point into the bar, âIâd like to go inside and catch up with everyone.â
He taps his foot as he reaches up the grab his cigarette, pushing out smoke in a frustrated huff. âI couldâve sworn I heard you tell Law that you loved him,â he chuckles darkly. âIs that true? Was what you told me all a lie?â he question burning with feelings of betrayal.
You furrow your brows, âAre you fucking serious, Sanji? Whatâs it to you? You made your feelings for me clear two years ago. I-â
âWell! It was foolish of me to be dismissive of it. I spent the last two years in HELL. Y/N you have no idea what it was like out there. Yea, I had plenty of time for training but it was bereft of beautyâŚ.there were no women....there was no you.â he cuts you off.
âI didnât realize what I had until it was gone. Cliche, I know. But, I was hoping we couldâŚâhe reaches out to touch your cheek. And you pull back just out of his reach, shaking your head no.
âNo, Sanji. Iâve healed. Iâve moved on. I think itâs best that we just return to being crew membersâŚfriends.â
He stills, his face losing color before quickly turning slightly red. âSo, what? Were you just lying to me about how you feel?â his frustration rising.
âAgain, no.. SanjiâŚI meant what I said. But..but..-â
âBut what,Y/N?â
Frustrated with his own shifts from frustration, to sadness, and anger you lash out, âBut you broke my heart, Sanji!â you shout, throwing your arms up into the air.
You begin pacing back and forth, your body telling you to move as your emotions about everything bubble to the surface. âYou have NO problems showing other women love but the minute I express it, itâs not good enough!â He stills, eyes wide, surprised by your outburst.Â
You step closer pointing your finger at him, pressing it square into his chest, âYou fucking broke my heart, Sanji. And then we were separated for TWO years. What did you expect me to just forget about that pain and wait to see you again and maybe Iâd beg for you back?! That Iâd come running to you?â
You see the sadness fall over his face, âY/N, I-â
âNo. Sanji. No. You donât get to do this after what happened and after all this time. Yes. I loved you, whether you believe it or not. But IâŚdonât anymore. Iâve moved on, shouldnât you be happy about that? I mean this conversation is two years too late,â you huff in exasperation.
He takes a long drag from his cigarette, âY/N/âŚI. Iâm sorry.â
You blink in surprise. Feeling the tension settle as youâve finally gotten it off your chest.
âI wasâŚscared. Itâs-,â he stops himself and sighs as he somberly shakes his head. âItâs difficult for me to accept love. I donât ever feel like I deserve it. Because why would I? Why does someone like me deserve your love? But spending two years away, on that god forsaken island,â he shivers as he recalls the memories.
âI still donât think I deserve your love, but Iâm willing to prove my devotion to you for the rest of my days, if youâll let me.â
And there it is. The confession that you wished he gave you two years ago. Your heart hurts for someone to feel with way about themselves and it tugs at you. Bringing you back to what could be. But you shake your head to clear it of those thoughts. What ifs never do anyone good.
âIâm sorry, Sanji. I canât. Itâs too late. I love you as a friend and a member of this crew, but whatâs done is done. My heart has moved on and itâs not a play thing. I will be here for you as a friend. But I have to respect myself and LAW. I donât know where that will go, but my heart is with him.â Your pulse is racing, heartbeat in your ears as you try to muster the strongest facade. Confrontation like this was never your strong suit, but youâve found your resolve.Â
Sanjiâs head droops as he nods in slow acceptance and steps to the side, finally allowing you to pass. You exhale a breath you didnât realize you were holding walking past him into the bar leaving him behind as he blows another puff of smoke into the air.
After the crewâs raucous reunion has finally settled, everyone is taking up their own corner of the bar chatting quietly. Youâre sitting alone, fiddling with what used to be a metal utensil as you sip your drink and reshape and reform the metal with your other hand, lost in thought. Well, it could be worse. When I was expecting to fall apart, I managed to deal with it. When your thoughts begin to wander to Law, thereâs a shift in the seat in front of you. âWhoa, Y/N, thatâs really cool!ââ Luffy calls out as he watches you use your devil fruit powers.Â
You look up, somewhat startled when you snap out of it. âOh! Luffy. Hey,â you mumble somberly. He tilts his head at you like a confused puppy. âWhatâs wrong, Y/N?â
You sigh, âItâs just, been a REALLY long day, Luffy,â you sigh. âDonât get me wrong,â you take a large gulp of your drink, âIâm so happy to be back and that everyone is together again,â you look up. A small smile breaks across your face as you scan the bar at the crew. Chopper, Usopp, and Franky are playing cards. Nami and Robin, gabbing with Shakky. Zoro and Sanji arguing and bickering over something. You chuckle when Zoro stands up so quickly his chair flips backwards as he grabs Sanjiâs shirt, curling it in his fist, shaking the other in the air and Sanji is pulling his fist back ready to throw a punch.
You chuckle and shake your head, âIâm just really going to miss-â
âTraffy?!â Luffy blurts out.
âYea, Traffy,â you muse.Â
Luffy looks at the metal in your hands and back up to you, âHe seems great. Maybe some day weâll be friends,â he grins his signature smile.
âYea,â you huff lightheartedly as you shift to sit straighter in your seat. âMaybeâŚI think I did something really stupid thought, Captain.â
âWhat-dya mean?â he questions.
âI-I fell for him, Luffy. Heâs the Captain of a rival crew. I let my feelings get in the way. I meanâŚI guess itâs to be expected to feel something after all the time he and I spent together to train. But it doesnât make this easy. Ya know? I canât make this work. Iâm a Strawhat. Heâs a Heart PIrate. Two different crews, two different Captains. Itâs not like I can split my time,â you laugh to yourself.
âWhy not?â Luffy questions, like thereâs an answer to everything.
Later that evening, you find yourself walking quietly to the dock where the Polar Tang is hidden. Itâs quiet, save for a couple crew members on board to keep watch of the ship. Your eyes scan for anything else in the area and in a break in the tree cover, you see Law, polishing Kikoku next to a couple lanterns in a makeshift camp.
You smile softly at his concentration and feel warmth bloom in your chest. âI think sheâs sharp enough, Law,â you call out, breaking him from his routine as his head snaps up to see you. He smiles back at you as he chuckles under his breath.âY/N,â he sets Kikoku and the rag in his hand down, standing up and wiping his hands together.
You pick up your pace to a near sprint toward him and jump up into his embrace. His arms hold you against him tightly as he steadies his footing. You hear him breath a sigh of relief in your ear. âSoâŚthis is goodbye?â he whispers. You pull back to look at him, your eyes bright, âWhat if it doesnât have to be?âÂ
He furrows his brow in confusion, mouth opening slightly like he wants to say something but it gets stuck in his throat. âWhat? What do you mean?â
You look at him excitedly, âLuffy and I talked. He agreed to let me train with you for a while longer,â you pause, looking away for a moment, âIf youâll have me,â you smile as you look back at him again.Â
His mouth drops open showing his surprise as he processes the information. Focusing his gaze from one eye to the other and his glance drops down to your lips. You canât handle your excitement any longer, knowing what his response will be anyway. Your arms slung over his shoulders reach for the back of his neck as you pull him to you in a desperate kiss. Your lips fitting together like puzzle pieces. As his tongue swipes across your lip, you open your mouth, tongues meeting together and exploring each other as if it were the first time all over again. You pull back for a breath and rest your forehead on his, âYou said youâd wait for me, but I donât want to wait.â
AHHHH!!!! It's finally done. This story took me forever to mull through. I, like many other writers on this platform, do it for fun. And honestly, it was really hard to get into the headspace to write this. But I'm glad I was able to work on it from time to time and chip away. I just didn't want it to be rushed or incomplete. Even though as I type this, I DO feel like it was rushed. But I'm posting it anyway because otherwise I won't. So there. I hope you enjoyed.

The sun shines over the Thousand Sunny. The sea is calm. Itâs a peaceful day, and youâre standing near the shipâs rail, watching the ocean.
Your fingers grip the wood a little tighter.
Luffy jumps off the top deck and lands near you with a loud thud âY/N! Heâs almost here! Sabo is coming!â he grins.
You blink âSabo?â
âYeah! My big bro! He wants to visit! I want you to meet him and I think he wants to meet you too!â Luffy says, stretching like this is no big deal.
But to you, it is a big deal. Youâve heard of Sabo, of course, Luffy talks about him with stars in his eyes. The Revolutionary Armyâs chief of staff, powerful, smart, and kind. And today, youâre going to meet him.
âWhy would he want to meet me?â you ask, a little unsure.
âBecause youâre part of the crew now!â Luffy laughs âDuh.â
You look away, cheeks warm.
Robin appears beside you, calm as always âDonât worry, Y/N. Youâll like him.â
You nod. You try to smile. But your heart is already racing.
A small boat approaches. A tall figure stands in it. Blond hair, black coat, iron pipe across his back. His smile is calm, but when he sees the Sunny, his eyes light up.
Then he sees you.
You see him.
And it happens like lightning in a bottle.
Your eyes meet.
His smile fades, but not in a bad way, just⌠surprised. Like he wasnât ready to feel this. You quickly look down. You feel your face burning.
âHey!â Luffy yells âSabo! Over here! What are you waiting for?â
Sabo jumps onto the Sunny in one smooth move. He greets the crew with a smile, hugging Luffy tight âYouâve gotten even stronger.â
âYou too!â Luffy laughs âOh! This is Y/N!â
Sabo turns toward you. His eyes meet yours again. You both freeze. Just for a second.
Then you both look away at the same time.
âI-Itâs nice to meet you.â you say, a little too formal. You bow your head slightly.
Sabo clears his throat âLikewise. Iâve heard a lot about you.â He gives a small smile, but his hand rubs the back of his neck.
Luffy stares at both of you âYou guys okay?â
Robin chuckles softly âTheyâre fine.â
Later that evening, Sabo sits with Luffy and Robin while you talk with Nami on the other side of the deck. You donât notice Saboâs eyes flicking toward you now and then.
âSo,â he says casually, âhow long has Y/N been part of the crew?â
Luffy chews on a meat bone âNot long! But sheâs cool. Has a weird laugh when sheâs nervous. And she kicked a guy into the sea once!â
Sabo smiles âSounds⌠interesting.â
Robin lifts an eyebrow âYouâre curious about her.â
Sabo sips his drink âJust⌠wondering. She seems nice.â
âShe is. And shy,â Robin says gently âLike someone else right now.â
Sabo doesnât reply, but he clears his throat again. His ears are slightly red.
You walk by to grab some water. Your hand brushes the jug, then you realize Sabo is nearby. You freeze.
He turns at the same time âDo youâdo you want me to pour it for you?â
âOh! N-No, I can⌠thank youâwait, I mean⌠yes, pleaseâŚâ you say way too fast.
He laughs softly and hands you a glass âHere you go.â
You bow your head again âThank you very much, Sabo-san.â
He stares âYou donât have to be so formal.â
You smile nervously âI canât help it.â
Usopp walks past and mutters to Sanji, just loud enough âGod, theyâre both so awkward it hurts. Look at her, she can't even speak.â
You snap âSHUT UP, USOPP!â
Everyone turns. Usopp stumbles back in fear.
Then you look at Sabo again, face burning âUm⌠thank you again.â
Sabo blinks. His mouth opens, then closes.
Then he smiles.
And his heart actually beats a little faster.
It's dinner time. Everyoneâs talking, laughing, passing plates around. Sanji made enough food for a sea king, and even that might not be enough with Luffy at the table.
You sit between Usopp and Zoro. Bad idea. Worst idea of the day. Maybe of your life.
In front of you is Sabo, who is trying very hard not to look directly at you every five seconds. You're doing the same.
âSo,â Usopp leans closer, grinning, âyou and Sabo, huh?â
You choke on your rice âWh-what?!â
Zoro smirks, chewing âRelax. Weâre just watching the love story of the year unfold.â
You groan, turning your head away âYou guys are the worst.â
Usopp nudges your side âYou keep glancing at him like heâs a dessert youâre too shy to order.â
Zoro raises an eyebrow âActually, that's a good way to put it.â
You want to hit them both⌠badly.
Across from you, Sabo raises his cup âIs everything alright?â
You smile a little too fast âYes! Everythingâs fine! Totally normal!â
Zoro hands you a drink âYou sure? You're looking a little tense. Maybe thisâll help.â
You blink âIs that⌠sake?â
âYup.â Zoro says, pouring you some more before you can protest âCome on. Don't make me waste it and loosen up.â
You hesitate. Then you glance at Sabo, whoâs quietly talking to Robin and sipping his own drink like a gentleman. You take a big sip.
âOkay, whoa,â you say, blinking fast âThatâs strong.â
âAnother?â Zoro offers.
âSure.â you mumble.
Half an hour later, you're talking a lot more. Still shy. Still awkward. But words are actually leaving your mouth without stuttering every third syllable.
ââand then I said, âThatâs my sandwich, idiot!ââ you say, laughing at your own story. You donât even remember how it started.
Sabo laughs softly across the table âYouâre... funny when youâre relaxed.â
You freeze âI-Iâm not drunk.â
âI didnât say you were.â he says, smiling.
Usopp leans over âYou are, but itâs cute. Right Sabo?â
You throw a napkin at him âYouâre not helping!â
âNeither is ZoroâŚâ Sanji mutters from the end of the table.
Zoro shrugs âSheâs finally talking to the guy. Youâre welcome.â
Sanji looks bad at him âAnd who wanted that????â
Sabo smiles again and leans forward a little âSo⌠what made you join the crew, Y/N?â
You pause âI donât know. I guess... I wanted to find people who felt like home.â
You regret it instantly. Too deep. Too honest. Too fast.
But Sabo just looks at you and nods âI think you found them.â
Luffy, mouth full, nods âYeah! Sheâs great! She punches people and is cool! And lately she's so awkward, it's so funny! Even though she steals my food sometimes and thinks I don't notice.â
Everyone just stares at him.
âThanks, LuffyâŚâ you say slowly.
Sabo coughs into his hand, trying not to laugh.
Robin leans closer to Franky âHow are the two brothers both this blind?â
Franky shrugs âSuper genetics.â
Usopp whispers to Nami, âIs Luffy always this oblivious?â
Nami snorts âHe once asked me if hearts beating fast was a âsicknessâ. So yeah.â
Sabo asks, âDo you like traveling with them?â
You nod âA lot. Iâve never felt more alive. Or more... accepted.â
He smiles, softer this time âI know that feeling.â
You stare at him âYou do?â
He looks down at his cup âYeah. I felt it again the moment I stepped on this ship. Even if I'm not staying.â
Is he talking about the crew... or you?
Youâre too afraid to ask. So instead, you say, âIâm glad youâre here now.â
Sabo glances up âMe too.â
Luffy throws his fork in the air âLetâs have dessert!â
Everyone groans.
âLuffy,â Nami sighs, âyou just had four plates.â
âYeah,â he says, licking his spoon âBut that was dinner dessert. Now itâs after-dinner dessert.â
You and Sabo laugh at the same time. You both glance at each other. Your eyes meet again.
And for the first time all night⌠you donât look away.
Dinner is done. Plates are empty, stomachs are full, and the sea outside is calm.
Luffy stands up suddenly, hands on his hips âSince Saboâs not staying long, why donât we play some games?!â
Everyone looks up. Then slowly... everyone turns to look at you and Sabo.
You're still sitting across from each other, leaning forward slightly. Both of you are smiling softly, shy, a little lost in your own little bubble.
Neither of you notices the silence.
Neither of you notices everyone staring.
Luffy blinks âHello? Guys?â
Robin gently taps her glass âY/N. Sabo.â
No answer.
Zoro whistles. Usopp waves a hand. Still nothing.
Then Brook says quietly, âThey are no longer here with us, soul-wise.â
Franky crosses his arms âShould we poke âem?â
âNo,â Nami sighs, standing up. âWe should go to sleep.â
âYeah, games tomorrow after lunch,â Zoro says as he stretches âWhen they stop melting into each other.â
âWait, what?â Luffy says, confused âWeâre not playing anymore?â
âYou guys go,â Luffy adds with a pout âIâll eat some more of that dessert Sanji made!â
âNo, you wonât!â Nami yells, whacking him with a slipper âYou ate it all already! Go to sleep NOW!â
âBut Iâm still hungryâ!â
âNo!â
Luffy grumbles and drags his feet toward the boysâ quarters âStupid Nami. Stupid no-dessert rule.â
One by one, the crew leaves, yawning, laughing, whispering things like âGood luck, Saboâ or âTell us everything later, Y/Nâ.
Sanji is the last to stand.
He doesnât move at first. He watches you, then looks at Sabo.
His smile is small but kind âIf you do anything to make her cry, Iâll cook you into stew.â
âDon't worry.â Sabo says, serious.
But then Sanji sighs and softens âShe deserves someone who sees her. Maybe... you already do but itâs better if you know.â
You blink âSanji...â
He bows slightly and walks away, muttering, âDonât keep her up too late. And donât touch my kitchen.â
Now itâs quiet.
You glance around.
Everyone is gone, not just Sanji.
You stand up slowly, clearing your throat âWell... I should go too. Itâs late.â
Sabo lifts his eyes âWait⌠um.â
You pause.
He stands too, just a little too quickly âI mean... if you donât mind. Maybe we could talk a little more?â
You tilt your head âAbout what?â
He rubs the back of his neck, looking unsure again âI donât know. Anything. Everything. Just⌠It's been nice. Being around you.â
Your heart skips.
You smile shy again, but softer this time âOkay. I can stay a little longer.â
He looks relieved âThanks.â
You both sit back down, this time a little closer.
The moonlight shines on the Sunny, soft and silver.
Two people. One late night. And finally... no one left to interrupt.
You and Sabo sit side by side now. Not too close, but closer than before. Your knees almost touch.
The air feels warm, even though the sea breeze is cool.
Neither of you talks at first.
Itâs not awkward... just quiet. Soft.
Then he says, âYouâre different when itâs just us.â
You glance at him âIs that bad?â
He smiles âNo. I like it.â
You look down, suddenly shy again âI think... I talk too much when Iâm nervous.â
âYouâre not talking too much now.â
âI guess Iâm just nervous in a different way.â
Sabo chuckles quietly âMe too.â
Thereâs a pause. You shift your leg a little. Your knee brushes his.
You pull back quickly âSorry!â
But he doesnât move away. He just smiles gently âYou donât have to apologize.â
Still, your face is burning âI didnât mean to... I justââ
âI know.â he says. And then, very lightly, his knee brushes yours back.
Not by accident.
You stop breathing for a second.
You look out at the sea again âLuffy told me everything.â
âEverything?â Sabo asks, voice soft.
âAbout your childhood. The three of you.â You glance at him, gently âAnd about Dressrosa. What happened there.â
Saboâs smile fades a little. He stares down at his hands âHe⌠talks a lot.â
âHe only talked because I asked,â you say âI wanted to know more about you.â
That catches him off guard. He looks up.
You quickly add, âNot in a weird way! I just... I wanted to understand.â
âUnderstand what?â he asks, eyes on you now.
You hesitate. Then: âHow someone could carry so much pain and still smile like you do.â
He blinks.
You keep going, voice soft now âLosing Ace. Forgetting Luffy. Getting your memories back that way... That mustâve been heavy.â
He doesnât speak right away.
Youâre about to apologize again when he says, âIt was.â
Just one word. But it holds a lot.
âAnd you came back,â you say âYou chose to keep fighting. Thatâs... brave.â
Sabo looks at you, really looks. His voice is quiet âIt wasnât bravery. It was the only thing I could do.â
You nod âStill.â
He watches you for a long moment. Then he says, âNo oneâs ever said that to me.â
You blink âReally?â
âReally.â
Your hand is resting on the wooden table. His hand slowly, carefully moves until his fingers lightly brush yours.
Not quite holding. But almost.
You glance down, heart thudding.
Neither of you moves away.
âIâm glad we met.â you whisper.
He says it at the same time âIâm glad I met you.â
You both laugh, quietly and a little embarrassed.
Still, no one moves.
Still, no one says the big thing.
But thatâs okay.
Not yet.
Not tonight.
Morning comes, bright and breezy. Youâre in the kitchen with Nami and Robin, sipping tea, telling them how Sabo kept you company under the stars last night.
âHeâs⌠kind.â you say softly, fingers fidgeting with your mug.
Nami smirks âYou like him.â
Robin smiles over her cup âYou both looked like a romance novel cover. If one of you had leaned in, it wouldâve been over.â
You hide your face âIâm never talking again.â
Meanwhile, outside...
Sabo stands with a Very Serious Look on his face. He takes a deep breath.
âI need help.â
Usopp, Zoro, Sanji, Franky, and Brook all turn to look at him like he just declared war.
âHelp⌠with what?â Sanji narrows his eyes suspiciously.
Sabo looks around, then leans in slightly âWith... Y/N. I want to ask her out.â
Luffy, from the upper deck âDid someone say food?â
âNo!â everyone yells.
Sabo crosses his arms âOkay. I want to do something special. A gift, maybe? Or something sweet? I just⌠I donât know what would make her see me, you know? Like⌠see me that way.â
Usopp grins âEasy. Fake a life-or-death situation, then save her dramatically. Trust me, adrenaline equals love.â
Zoro scoffs âNo, just fight her. Thatâs how I bond with people.â
Sanji glares at him âDo NOT fight her, or I will fight you.â
Brook taps his chin âMaybe you should write her a poem. Something like: âMy heart is your eternal buffet, please come dine at my emotional cafĂŠâ.â
Everyone: âBROOK, NO.â
Franky flexes âBuild her a sculpture of yourself. Shirtless. SUPER romantic.â
Sabo stares in horror âIâm starting to regret this.â
Sanji steps forward, trying to bring it back âLook. Sheâs not like Nami-swan, but sheâs still a lady. She deserves something thoughtful.â
âLike flowers?â Sabo asks.
âNo,â Sanji says seriously âCook for her. Food equals love.â
âBut Iâm not a chefââ
âDO IT ANYWAY.â
Usopp pats Saboâs shoulder âOr tell a fake tragic backstory. That always gets people.â
âI already have a real tragic backstory?â
âFake ones are spicier!â Usopp insists.
Zoro shrugs âJust stare into her eyes like youâre in pain. Works sometimes.â
Luffy swings down from the top deck, holding a half-eaten meat bun âHey! Whatâs everyone talking about?â
Sabo quickly straightens up âNothing.â
Luffy nods âHey, Sabo, I want to help my brother with his girl problemâŚâ
Everyone stares.
âYou know?â Sanji asks.
âKnow what?â Luffy says with a mouthful âBut you said you needed help, so Iâm helping. You should just eat meat together. Solves everything.â
Sabo sighs.
âThanks, Luffy.â
âAnytime!â
Later that day, Sabo walks away from the disaster that was âCrew Romance Advice Hourâ more confused than ever.
He holds a weird list:
fake a battle (Usopp)
cook something edible (Sanji)
stare intensely (Zoro)
write a food-themed poem (Brook???)
build statue??? (Franky)
definitely NOT ask Luffy
He looks at the paper. Then crumples it and throws it away.
ââŚIâm just going to talk to her.â
The afternoon sun is warm. The wind is soft. The Sunny feels lazy today, like even the sea is waiting for something to happen.
You sit alone at the edge of the deck, sketching something in a little notebook Robin gave you. You hum quietly, not noticing the footsteps behind you.
Sabo stops when he sees you with your hair moving with the breeze, your eyes focused, lips slightly parted in thought.
He forgets what he was going to say ââŚHi.â
You look up, startled âOhâSabo!â
âSorry,â he says quickly, waving his hands âI didnât mean to sneak up on you.â
You laugh nervously âYou didnât. I just didnât hear you.â
Thereâs a pause.
Then you smile âWant to sit?â
He does. A little too fast. A little too close. And then realizes he's too close and scoots half an inch away like a gentleman in panic mode.
You pretend not to notice. But your heart is going nuts.
âSoâŚâ he starts âWhatâre you drawing?â
âOh. Just⌠some memories. Places weâve been. I like to keep them. Thatâs all.â
He looks at the page. It's a small sketch of last night, you and him, sitting in the kitchen but full of stars around.
You freeze. Crap. Why did I leave that one on top?!
But Sabo just stares at it quietly, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth âYou want to remember that.â
You nod âYeah. Of course.â
His voice is soft âMe too.â
You look at him. He's already looking at you. And for a second you think heâs going to say it.
That maybe, finallyâ
âAre you hungry?â he blurts.
You blink â...What?â
He clears his throat âI-I was going to try to cook something. You know. As a⌠thing. For you. Not like⌠romanticâwell, I donât mean itâs not romantic⌠I mean, it could be, but only if youââ
You touch his arm, gently âSabo.â
He stops.
You smile âIâd love that.â
Cut to: kitchen chaos.
Sabo stares at a pan like itâs about to attack him.
You laugh quietly âHave you⌠ever cooked anything before?â
âTechnically? No.â
You roll up your sleeves âThen I guess Iâll help.â
Together, you try to make something simple, rice balls, maybe some grilled veggies.
He almost burns his glove. You almost spill the salt.
You bump hands more times than makes logical sense.
You drop a spoon and both reach to grab it and when your fingers touch, neither of you moves.
Sabo looks up slowly.
So do you.
Silence.
And just when something might happenâŚ
Luffy kicks the kitchen door open, yelling, âI SMELL FOOD!â
You both jump apart so fast itâs a miracle no one catches fire.
âNo!â Sanji shouts from somewhere âDONâT TOUCH THAT, LUFFY!â
âBut Iâm hungry!â
Later, after the storm passes (meaning Sanji kicks Luffy out), you and Sabo sit outside with two wonky-looking rice balls.
âTheyâre kind of uglyâŚâ you say.
âTheyâre perfect.â he says, and he actually means it.
You both eat.
Then, quietly, he says, âThank you. For not laughing at me.â
You look at him, eyes soft âIâd never laugh at you.â
He holds your gaze. He wants to say it. You can feel it.
But instead, he just says, âIâm glad I met you, Y/N. Really.â
You smile, heart full âMe too.â
You look at him âHey, Sabo?â
He turns his head slightly âYeah?â
âWhen do you have to leave?â
He pauses. You watch his jaw tighten, just a little.
Then he answers, slowly âThe plan was⌠a week. So⌠tomorrowâs the last day.â
You blink âAlready?â
He nods âI canât stay longer. Thereâs a mission waiting. The army needs me.â
You look down at your hands âOh. Right.â
Thereâs a silence.
Not awkward. Not angry. Just sad.
You try to smile, but itâs weak âWell... makes sense. Youâre important.â
Sabo glances at you, and his expression softens instantly. He opens his mouth like he wants to say something, but then stops.
He looks away.
Instead, he says, âLuffyâs planning a âGame Dayâ for tomorrow. Said itâs my âfarewell fun dayâ.â
You laugh under your breath âOf course he did.â
Sabo smiles âHe was very serious about it.â
You imagine Luffy with a dramatic cape and a megaphone, declaring âTournament of Ultimate Gamesâ or something just as dumb.
You finally look up again, the sadness still there, but lighter now âI wonder what games he wants to play.â
Sabo shrugs âWith Luffy? Could be a food fight, a three-legged race, or⌠sword juggling. While blindfolded.â
You giggle, and that sound makes something shift in Saboâs chest.
âIâll try not to lose.â he says.
You glance at him, eyes soft âIâll let you win.â
He chuckles, âThat might hurt my pride.â
You grin âToo bad.â
Thereâs a beat of silence. A long, gentle pause.
And then, your voice smaller now âI wish we had more time.â
Sabo stares at you and doesnât say anything, but he feels it too.
This morning on the Sunny is louder than ever.
âGAAAAME DAAAAY!!â Luffy shouts from the top of the mast, waving a flag he made out of a tablecloth and a stick.
Everyoneâs gathered on deck, still waking up, some holding mugs of coffee. Nami is already rubbing her temples. Zoro looks mildly annoyed. Usopp and Chopper are hyped. Robin is smiling behind her book. Sanji is too focused on bringing snacks.
âSince there are 12 of us,â Luffy declares, âweâll play in pairs!â
Brook strums a little intro tune âLet the chaos begin~â
You look at Sabo across the deck. He offers a little smile. You smile back softly, but a little shy again.
But inside, youâre ready. You stretch your arms âIâm gonna destroy everyone.â
Sabo blinks âYouâre⌠very confident.â
You grin âI didnât come here to make friends. I came to win.â
He laughs âI thought we were already friends.â
âI meant game friends. Totally different.â
Luffy scratches his head âOkay! I wanna be with Sabo! Heâs my brother!â
âNO!â the crew shouts in unison.
Zoro crosses his arms âToo overpowered.â
Nami: âToo chaotic.â
Usopp: âYouâll BOTH forget the rules and just punch things.â
Robin, sweetly as she points at you and Sabo: âLetâs put the obvious pair together, shall we?â
Your eyes go wide âW-Wait, no! I wanted to go against Sabo!â
âToo bad,â Franky says with a wink âYouâre teammates now, sweetheart.â
You glance at Sabo. Heâs trying to hide a smile, cheeks a bit pink.
You sigh, dramatically âFine. But I swear, if we loseâŚâ
âYouâll kill me?â he offers.
You smirk âOh no. Iâll just make you train with me until you cry.â
He gulps âNoted.â
Game 1: Obstacle Race (Blindfolded Pair Edition)
You're blindfolded. Saboâs behind you, hands gently on your shoulders, trying to guide you.
âLeft.â he says.
You take one step. Trip on a barrel.
âI SAID LEFT!â
âYou mumbled it!â
âYou were leaning!â
âI WAS BREATHING!â
The others watch in silent shock.
âSheâs so⌠loudâŚâ Usopp whispers.
Zoro: âIâve never seen her like this.â
Sanji: âWhy does she only yell at himâŚ? TchâŚâ
Jinbe just smiles âSheâs showing her true self. Thatâs good.â
Eventually, you and Sabo cross the finish line second, just behind Luffy and Chopper who somehow rolled the entire course.
You pant, removing your blindfold âOkay. Okay. That wasnât terrible.â
Sabo looks winded âYouâre terrifying...â
âThanks!â you beam.
Game 2: Trivia Toss
âAlright!â You slam your hand on the deck âYou answer the questions, I throw the beanbags. Thatâs our strategy.â
âShouldnât we⌠talk about it first?â
âWe just did. Letâs go.â
Sabo barely answers the first question before you whip a beanbag directly into Brookâs forehead.
âCorrect!â Nami shouts.
âYES!â you yell, high-fiving Sabo so hard he stumbles.
Heâs laughing now âYouâre really into this, huh?â
You grin wide âI didnât plan on losing today. You better keep up, fire-boy.â
His ears turn red âYes, maâam.â
Game 3: Trust Stack
Each team has to build a tower of crates, one person stacking, the other balancing on top.
Sabo looks up at the wobbling crates âThis seems... unstable.â
âYeah,â you say, tying your headband tighter âThatâs why Iâm doing it.â
He blinks âYou're climbing?â
âYup. You hold. I jump.â
He tries to protest, but youâre already scaling the boxes like a jungle cat. The moment you nearly fall, he jumps under you and catches you by the waist.
You freeze. So does he.
His hands are warm. Your face is close. Too close.
He gently sets you back on the top crate.
âThanksâŚâ you mutter.
He clears his throat âNo problem.â
You immediately shout down, âKEEP IT STEADY, SABO, YOUâRE SHAKING.â
Everyone groans.
âShe went from âcrushâ to âsergeantâ...â Usopp mutters.
âSheâs a scary woman.â Zoro says.
âSheâs perfectâŚâ Sanji adds.
After three games, you and Sabo are tied for first with Luffy and Chopper.
Sabo laughs, holding his ribs âI think I pulled something trying to act like a dancing camel.â
You turn to him, all smiles âSee? Weâre unstoppable.â
His eyes soften as he looks at you âYeah⌠we are.â
You donât notice the way heâs looking at you again. Not yet. But everyone else does.
The sun is setting now. Golden light washes over the deck of the Sunny, casting long shadows from the piles of ropes, beanbags, and random junk Luffy used as âgame propsâ.
The games are done. You and Sabo are officially the winning team.
You sit on the edge of the deck sipping juice like a war general surveying her battlefield. Sabo sits beside you, smiling like he still doesnât understand how he survived today.
Behind you, the crew talks in low voices.
Usopp squints, arms crossed âDid you guys⌠let them win?â
Zoro frowns âLet them? What?â
âIâm just saying!â Usopp waves his arms âThey were awkward and blushing yesterday. How the hell did they win today?â
Robin chuckles âDidnât you see Y/N?â
Franky nods slowly âShe went beast mode.â
âShe couldnât be stopped,â Brook adds âIt was⌠inspiring.â
âDonât forget terrifying⌠but hot.â Sanji mutters, arms folded âShe yelled at Sabo like a captain on a battlefield.â
âHey, she motivates me.â Sabo says, approaching with you.
Usopp jumps âGAHâYou heard all of that?!â
You smile, dangerously âHeard enough.â
Everyone goes quiet.
Nami suddenly smirks âYou know what we havenât played yet?â
You narrow your eyes âIf itâs not a game where I can win, Iâm not interested.â
âTruth or Dare.â she says sweetly.
A collective groan rolls across the deck.
Zoro: âNope.â
Usopp: âPass.â
Sanji: âOnly if Nami-swan gives me the dares~â
Luffy: âWhatâs that again? Do we fight?â
Nami ignores them all. She tilts her head, eyes locking on you.
Just a little nod in your direction.
Everyone follows her gaze to you. Then to Sabo. Then back to you.
Realization clicks like a key turning in a lock.
â...Ohhh.â Robin hums.
You stare âWait. Iâm not dumb youâre only suggesting this because of me andââ
âYup.â Nami says, bold and blunt.
You cross your arms âI donât like it. Itâs not a game where I can win or make everyone else lose.â
Nami grins âActually, you can win. Think about it. You complete all your dares? You win. You answer all your truths? Still winning. If you give someone else a truth or dare they refuse to do?â She shrugs âThey lose.â
You blink, then grin â...Go on.â
The moon is up now.
Lanterns hang from the masts, glowing softly. Everyoneâs seated in a circle on the deck. A mostly-empty tray of snacks sits in the middle, Luffy already cleaned it his way.
You sit cross-legged between Robin and Zoro. Saboâs across from you, in between Usopp and Chopper.
And despite how rowdy the Strawhats normally are, right now, thereâs a strange tension in the air. A sparkle in everyoneâs eyes.
Like theyâre up to something⌠probably because they are.
Nami claps her hands âAlright. Truth or Dare. You pick one. If you donât answer or do it, youâre out.â
âLast one standing wins.â you mutter.
She smirks âGlad youâre invested.â
You peek across the circle at Sabo. Heâs not looking at you.
When itâs your turn, you donât pick him. And when itâs his turn, he doesnât pick you.
You both hover around the circle like youâre too nervous to point at each other. Like even saying each other's names in this game might be too much.
Still, the crew ainât subtle at all.
Zoroâs turn.
He sighs âTruth.â
Nami smirks âIs it true you told Sanji once youâd marry Y/N if she could beat you in a drinking contest?â
Zoro blinks â...I said that?â
Everyone: âYES.â
You: đś
Sabo: đł
Zoro: â...She canât outdrink me anyway.â
You: âI can and I will.â
Sabo glances at you like you're made of lava.
Robinâs turn.
âTruth.â she says, graceful as always.
Usopp leans forward âWho do you ship the most on this ship?â
Robin sips her tea âOh, Y/N and Sabo. Obviously.â
You: âRobin!â
Sabo nearly drops his drink.
Robin smiles sweetly âOh? But I have to be honest to win.â
You want to melt into the wood.
Sabo coughs into his hand, face pink.
Sanjiâs turn.
âDare!â he says, striking a pose.
Zoro: âI dare you to shut up for five minutes.â
Sanji: âYOU BASTARD!â
Luffy: âThatâs impossible, Zoro!â
Chopper: âHeâs already losing!â
Meanwhile, you and Sabo are barely breathing, hoping to be skipped.
Then itâs Saboâs turn.
âTruthâ
Usopp points at Sabo with the smug grin of a man about to commit mischief âWhoâs the prettiest person here?â
Saboâs eyes flicker around. He opens his mouth, then closes it.
You look anywhere but at him.
âUhâŚâ he clears his throat âI think Robin is very elegant.â
Robin raises her eyebrows âA very safe answer.â
Sanji: âWHAT ABOUT NAMI AND Y/N?!â
Usopp leans toward him âCoward.â
Sabo sends you a tiny glance.
You donât see it. Or maybe you do, but your brain refuses to process it.
Your turn.
âDare.â
Luffy blurts: âEat three chili peppers and do a backflip!â
Everyone stares.
Zoro: âWhat the hell?â
Chopper: âSheâll die!â
You squint at him âThatâs not a real dare, Luffy. You know I canât do a backflip.â
âOh⌠okay. Your turn then!â
You turn to Brook instead âTruth or Dare?â
âTruth!â
You pause âHave you ever peeked in the bathhouse?â
Brook raises a hand âMay I see yourââ
âYOUâRE OUT!â Nami shouts, throwing a slipper at his head.
The game keeps going, everyone laughing and yelling.
But you and Sabo? Youâre both quiet. You smile when someone else is picked, laugh with the crew, but when your eyes meet, itâs like time pauses again.
Neither of you wants to push.
Neither of you wants to risk ruining the soft thing growing between you.
And the others notice because now theyâre all playing matchmaker.
But for now⌠youâre both too shy to say anything real.
The circle is smaller now.
Sanji's sulking on the stairs, Usoppâs fake-sobbing about how unfair the game is, Brook's still humming love songs, Jinbe excused himself respectfully after losing a dare to sing karaoke, and Nami, still very much the leader of the game, sits beside the bottle she just dropped in the middle of the circle.
You can feel the heat crawl up your neck. Your ears. Your entire face.
Sabo doesnât answer right away. His eyes flicker toward you, and then immediately away.
He swallows hard.
ââŚIâd rather not say.â he mutters.
A loud gasp from Nami âSabo!â
Robinâs voice is still calm âYou know the rules.â
ââŚIf I donât answer, Iâm out, right?â he says.
You canât breathe.
Robin gives him a knowing smile âYeah, but look at the person of your answer, donât you think they actually want to hear you say it?â
Sabo hesitates and says quietly, voice barely above a whisper: â⌠Iâd pick Y/N.â
The air explodes.
Sanji falls backwards. Usopp and Chopper yell âOH MY GOD!!!â
Luffy claps excitedly and says âOh, sooo cool!!â
Nami screams âFINALLY.â
Zoro just smirks like he saw this coming five days ago.
You⌠you stare at Sabo.
He finally meets your eyes, and even though your face is red and your heart is doing backflips, you smile. And he smiles back.
After that answer, no one really knows what to say.
Thereâs no topping it. No follow-up. No game left to play.
So, slowly, the group dissolves.
âWelp, Iâm going to bed.â Usopp says, practically cartwheeling away.
Sanji shoots you and Sabo a look before saying, âIâll go clean the kitchen, very, very far away from here.â
Even Luffy, after being physically dragged by Zoro and Nami, disappears inside the Sunny.
Only you stay behind, offering to help clean up the empty cups and snack trays.
Your heart still feels like itâs running a marathon in your chest. You can barely focus on wiping crumbs off the deck, let alone breathe normally.
Robin touches your shoulder gently âWhy donât you rest now? Weâve got the rest.â
You look up âAre you sure? I donât mindââ
âWeâre very sure,â Nami interrupts, already pushing you toward the railing âGo take a moment.â
You donât argue.
You find a quiet spot near the edge of the ship, where the wind is cool and the stars stretch endlessly above the sea. You lean on your arms, breathing deep, letting the silence wash over you.
Youâre too full of thoughts.
Why did he say that? Was he being honest? Is he regretting it?
You try not to let your mind spiral. Try to just⌠exist in the moment.
But you donât know that, back inside, Nami has Sabo cornered.
Literally.
âGo.â she says, pushing him toward the door.
Sabo blinks âGo where?â
âTo her.â Robin answers calmly, sipping tea.
âSheâs waiting,â Nami adds âEven if she doesnât realize it yet.â
âI⌠I donât think she wants to talk to me right now.â Sabo mutters, rubbing the back of his neck.
âYou said youâd kiss her in front of everyone!â Nami hisses âSame thing!â
Robin smiles knowingly âSabo. Sometimes the bravest thing is not surviving a battlefield, but starting a conversation.â
Sabo stares ââŚYouâre both terrifying.â
Nami smirks âGo.â
So he goes.
You hear footsteps behind you.
Soft ones.
You donât look up, thinking itâs someone passing by⌠until he sits next to you.
Very close.
You glance sideways, and there he is.
Sabo. Hair a little messy. Eyes soft. Smile uncertain.
âHey.â he says quietly.
ââŚHey.â
You look back at the stars. Youâre so aware of the space between you. And of how little space there is.
For a while, you just sit in silence.
Until, of course, he says the worst possible thing.
âSo, uh⌠about earlier⌠when I said Robin was the prettiest person hereâŚâ
You flinch slightly.
He sees it.
He winces âWait, sorry, I didnât mean it like that. I mean, I do think sheâs stunning, but I said it because I panicked and she was right there andââ
You stay quiet.
âI wasnât trying to flirt with her,â he adds quickly, voice rushed âI didnât even think youâd care or notice orâugh, this is coming out all wrongââ
You finally glance at him, raising an eyebrow âThen what did you mean?â
He swallows.
âI donât know,â he admits âI just⌠I didnât know how to say what I really wanted to say.â
ââŚWhich was?â
Sabo looks down at his hands.
Then back at you.
ââŚThat I think youâre the prettiest.â
The world quiets again.
Your heart pounds so loud youâre sure he can hear it.
You laugh softly, more like a sigh.
ââŚItâs okay,â you say, still watching the stars âItâs actually dumb of me to feel jealous over that. Weâve known each other for just a week. And Robin is⌠objectively the prettiest here.â
You give a small shrug.
âI wouldâve answered the same. So donât worry. Iâll get over it.â
Your voice tries to stay calm, but it cracks just enough that Sabo notices. And something in him just snaps.
He shakes his head âNo. Wait⌠no, thatâs all wrong.â
You glance at him, surprised.
His hands are clenched a little. His voice is tight, like heâs holding back something that refuses to stay inside any longer.
âIâlisten, Iâm really not good at this kind of thing,â he says quickly, eyes locked on yours now âI didnât mean to make you feel that way. I justââ He breathes in sharply âI like you, Y/N.â
You freeze.
His words spill fast now, like heâs been waiting.
âI think⌠I fell for you the second we locked eyes. On that day Luffy introduced you. You smiled at me and IâŚ" he laughs nervously, looking away for half a second, âI forgot how to breathe.â
You stare at him, heart pounding.
âI donât care if itâs too soon. I donât care if it sounds crazy. Iâm not saying it to confuse you or make it harder when I leave tomorrow. Iâm saying it because itâs true.â
He looks back at you, eyes open and honest and barely holding it together.
âDo you believe in love at first sight?â he asks, voice quieter now âBecause now I do. Thanks to you.â
And there it is.
No jokes. No teasing crew. No bottle of doom.
Just the truth.
Just him.
Sabo.
Heart on his sleeve, practically burning in front of you.
His words linger in the air like a spark waiting to catch flame.
You stare at him. You want to say something. Something equally raw and honest. But your heart is in your throat. Your thoughts donât come in words, just warmth, racing pulses, and the ache in your chest thatâs been growing since the second you met him.
So you donât say anything at all.
You lean in slowly, and then you kiss him. Softly.
Your lips brush his like a whisper, like a gentle, trembling question.
It catches him completely off guard. You feel his breath hitch. His whole body tenses just for a second⌠before he melts into it.
You pull back.
Eyes wide. Like maybe you messed up. Maybe he wasnât ready.
But when you look at himâŚ
Heâs not shocked anymore.
Heâs looking at you like you hung the moon.
His hand comes up to your cheek, fingers trembling just a little, brushing over your skin like heâs scared youâll vanish.
And he kisses you again.
But this time⌠itâs not soft.
Itâs full of everything he didnât know how to say. Everything heâs felt since that first second on the Sunnyâs deck. The way he tried to stay calm around you. The way you smiled at him like no one ever had.
This kiss is full of warmth. And so much relief that it actually makes your chest ache.
His lips move against yours like heâs finally breathing after being underwater too long. Like heâs found the one thing he didnât even realize he was searching for.
When he finally pulls away, forehead still pressed to yours. he whispers:
ââŚYou have no idea how much I wanted to do that.â
You smile, breathless.
âYeah,â you whisper back âMe too.â.
You both just sit there, stunned, smiling like two idiots under the stars.
You lean your head against his shoulder, and say quietly, ââŚItâs weird they didnât come to spy on us.â
Sabo chuckles, âI think they pushed things so hard with that game⌠even they got tired.â
You laugh softly, and itâs so easy. The kind of laugh you only let out when your heart finally feels safe.
That night, you donât go to bed right away.
You stay up together, curled up in a quiet corner of the ship, wrapped in a blanket. Hugging. Talking. Whispering things too personal for daylight⌠your childhoods, your fears, dreams, regrets, favorite smells, everything.
And at some point you both fall asleep like that. Arms tangled, hearts full.
The next morning the ship is busy with goodbyes. Itâs Saboâs time to leave for his mission.
You act like nothing happened. Like youâre just shy again, standing back while he says goodbye to the others. They donât know.
Even Luffy throws him into a bear hug âThanks for coming, Sabo!! That was fun. Letâs eat together again soon!â
He laughs and pats his brother on the back âDefinitely.â
Then he turns to you. Walks closer. Slower. Eyes warm and soft.
You meet him halfway.
He takes your hands, gently, like youâre made of something delicate. His voice drops low so only you can hear âIs it okay if I kiss you now?â
Your breath catches. You nod.
You still didnât tell anyone what happened last night.
Before he kisses you, he murmurs with his voice cracking just a little ââŚI really donât want to leave you. This was the best week of my life.â
And then he kisses you.
Soft, full of meaning, but quick enough to be respectful in front of the others.
Not that anyone else there actually stays respectful.
âEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHH!?â
Nami drops her drink.
Usopp yells, âI KNEW IT!â
Sanji HOWLS like heâs just been stabbed.
Franky yells, âTHAT WAS SUPER UNEXPECTED!â
Brook shouts, âCAN I SING A SONG ABOUT THIS?!â
Even Luffy goes, âYO, THATâS MY CREWMATE!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO OUR Y/N!!?â
But you⌠youâre frozen.
Your eyes are glassy now.
You look down. Donât want him to see. Donât want anyone to see.
Sabo notices instantly.
So he hugs you and you bury your face in his coat.
No one says anything else. The yelling dies down. The teasing quiets.
And the crew watches as you stay like that⌠Just holding each other, surrounded by chaos, hearts pressed close.
Saying goodbye without words.
You both know this isnât the end. Itâs just the beginning of something really beautiful.
Once again, this has been in my drafts for months :')
All of them are like the best case scenario (all of them wanting to be fathers), tell me or something if you want, by any chance, the worst case scenario ("it's too dangerous to have kids rn"), or other characters.
He was quietly patrolling near a river, his expression calm as ever, lost in the rhythm of rustling leaves and running water. When you called his name, he turned, blue eyes softening immediately at the sight of you.
â(Y/N),â he greeted, voice low. âIs something wrong?â
Your heart raced as you stepped closer, hands trembling slightly. âI⌠I have something to tell you.â
His brow furrowed with concern, and before you could say more, he rested a hand on your shoulder, gentle, steady, grounding.
âIâm pregnant,â you said, barely above a whisper.
For a long moment, Giyu said nothing. Then, slowly, his hand slipped down to intertwine with yours.
âI seeâŚâ His lips parted, an almost imperceptible smile appearing. âThatâs⌠good. No, itâs wonderful.â
He pulled you into his chest, heartbeat steady against your ear. âIâll protect you. Both of you,â he murmured, voice shaking just slightly, betraying the emotion he rarely showed.
You found Kyojuro in the courtyard, his laughter echoing as his blade sliced through the air with precision. When he spotted you, his face brightened instantly.
âAh! My love!â he boomed, sheathing his sword. âWhat brings you here with such a serious expression?â
You smiled nervously, fingers clutching the hem of your haori. âI⌠have some news.â
His golden eyes widened slightly, but he stayed silent, giving you all his attention.
âIâm pregnant.â
For a second, even Kyojuro went still. Then, that familiar flame of joy erupted from him. He burst into a laugh, radiant and unrestrained, before sweeping you into his arms.
âMarvelous! Truly, this is the greatest blessing!â he declared, spinning you lightly. âWe shall raise the child with warmth, courage, and love!â
You giggled as he pressed his forehead to yours, voice softening. âThank you⌠for giving me something new to protect.â
(Adult Muichiro okay?)
You found him sitting in the garden, mist curling around him like an old friend. When you approached, his gaze lifted, soft and distant.
âYouâre trembling,â he said simply, noticing your hands. âWhatâs wrong?â
You sat beside him and whispered, âIâm pregnant.â
For a moment, his expression didnât change, then his lips parted slightly, eyes widening in quiet surprise. Slowly, a smile formed, small but genuine.
ââŚThatâs⌠great.â He reached out, resting a hand over yours. âI canât promise Iâll understand everything about being a father right away,â he admitted softly, âbut Iâll learn. Iâll protect you and our child. Always.â
The wind carried his words like a vow, gentle yet unbreakable.
He had just dismissed the exhausted trainees, sweat glistening on his skin as he wiped his brow. When he noticed you waiting by the steps, a rare, crooked smile appeared.
âHey, whatâs up?â he asked, plopping down beside you.
You hesitated, offering him an ohagi to distract your shaking hands. ââNemi⌠I need to tell you something.â
He stuffed the ohagi in his mouth, glancing your way. âGo ahead.â
âIâm pregnant.â
The man froze, mid-chew, eyes wide, half an ohagi hanging from his mouth. The silence that followed was so absurd that you couldnât help but laugh.
Then, without warning, Sanemi dropped the snack and pulled you into a rough, trembling hug.
âI⌠damit, Iâll do everything right,â he muttered against your shoulder. âIâll protect you both. I swear I wonât be like my old man.â
Your hand brushed through his hair, feeling the tension melt into something raw and tender.
You found him meditating beneath the roaring waterfall, beads clutched between his hands. When he sensed your presence, his serene face lifted toward you.
â(Y/N), is everything well?â he asked, voice resonant and gentle.
You nodded, stepping into the shallow pool. âGyomei⌠I have something to tell you.â
The words trembled out. âIâm pregnant.â
For a long moment, all you could hear was the water crashing down. Then, Gyomeiâs lips parted in aweâhis sightless eyes wet with sudden tears.
âSuch⌠a blessing,â he murmured, his voice breaking. âI am unworthy of such grace.â
When you moved closer, he wrapped his arms around you with reverence. âI will pray for your safety every day. For the child, and for you. You are both⌠my world.â
When you walked into the training ground, Tengen was sparring with Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru watching nearby. He immediately noticed your nervous expression, grin widening.
âWhatâs the matter, Y/N? You look more flashy than usual.â
You exchanged glances with the other wives, who were barely containing their excitement. âI⌠have something to say.â
Tengen tilted his head dramatically. âDonât tell me, itâs flashy news?â
You nodded, smiling through nervous tears. âIâm pregnant.â
He froze for half a heartbeatâthen burst into dazzling laughter. âHa! I knew it! I heard you whispering last night!â
Your jaw dropped. âYou what?!â
The three wives burst into laughter, and you smacked his arm playfully. âYou jerk!â
He only pulled you into his arms, kissing your forehead. âOur family just got flashier, love. Iâll make sure our child grows surrounded by beauty, strength, and more love than they can handle.â
Obanai sat quietly beneath the trees, Kaburamaru coiled loosely around his shoulders. When he saw you, he stood, a faint blush already on his cheeks.
âYou shouldnât walk alone,â he scolded softly, adjusting his bandages.
âI needed to tell you something,â you said, smiling nervously.
His single visible eye flicked toward you, wary but attentive.
âIâm pregnant.â
Silence. Even Kaburamaru seemed to pause. Obanaiâs breath hitched; he blinked rapidly, gaze darting away as a deep crimson spread across his face.
âI⌠I see,â he murmured, voice hoarse. âThatâs⌠wonderful news.â
You stepped closer, and he carefully took your hand, thumb brushing your knuckles. âI never thought Iâd have something like this,â he admitted quietly. âSomething worth living for so deeply.â
When you leaned into his chest, his snake gently coiled around your wrist, as if welcoming you both.
After that night, it was obvious. Sanemi had made it his fucking mission.
Every time he got his cock in you, he came deep. No pulling out, no hesitation. Just rutting hard, groaning low in your ear when his cum spilled thick and hot inside you.
You knew what he was doing. He didnât even bother hiding it.
Sometimes youâd try to fight him on it, sitting up, grabbing the back of his white hair, yanking until he hissed. âIf you donât pull out, I swear Iâll - â
But heâd only smirk through gritted teeth, fucking into you harder, the clap of his hips snapping against your pelvis loud in the quiet room. âYeah? Gonna slap me? While youâre squeezinâ my cock like that?â
And then youâd both be coming, you yanking his hair, him groaning through clenched teeth, pumping you so full you felt it drip down your thighs. His scarred fingers always shoved it back in, two thick digits pressing the mess inside while he muttered under his breath about âwastinâ good cumâ if he didnât.
Other times he slowed down. Had you in his lap, riding him slow and deep, his scarred hands gripping your ass as his head tilted back. His breath came in harsh pants, his voice cracking with need.
âFuckâŚjust give it to me already. Want you round with my kid. Canât stop thinkinâ about it.â
And the way he said it - passive aggressive, like a complaint, like he hated himself for wanting it so badly - made your body clench down on him even harder. And you couldnât help it.
Morning after, nothing changed. You both pulled on your uniforms, acting like he hadnât fucked his load into you the night before. You trained. You worked with the lower ranks. You listened to the Kakushi rattle off missions - and Sanemi always scoffed, clicking his tongue, throwing you an annoyed look when your name got called.
But you knew it was only a matter of time before his efforts paid off.
Because you were at it like rabbits. Sanemiâs stamina was insane, even by Hashira standards. Some mornings he came home right before sunrise, uniform dirty and still the first thing he did was shove you into the futon, pounding into you with adrenaline, chasing another orgasm out of you just so he could cum deep again.
Lately, you noticed it more. The way his hands gripped you tighter, the way his thrusts turned frantic when he groaned into your skin about the shit he saw on missions.
Every time, he fucked you like he was chasing a cure to it. Like knocking you up was the only way heâd ever let you out of that hell.
So yeah. Sanemi wasnât gonna stop.
____________
You tried to keep things professional. Both of you did.
You were Hashira before anything else. There was no room for tenderness, no space for love in the Corps.
Still, it bled through the cracks. Especially now, with this newâŚassignment on Sanemiâs mind.
In meetings, when missions were handed out, Sanemi always started arguing.
âNot this one.â Heâd mutter, glaring at the map. âToo far. Iâll take it.â
âItâs mine.ââ Youâd snap, snatching the slip.
âYouâre not goinâ out there alone.â
âNot your call.â
âThe fuck it isnât.â
Shinobu would let out a short exhale. âWould the Wind and theâŚcurrently domestically entangled Hashira take this outside?â
You both glared at her.
It happened often now - bickering over patrol routes, over duty stations that were meant to last weeks, investigations. You could feel his stare burn through you during briefings, even when you refused to meet it.
Rengoku once laughed quietly, hands folded in his haori sleeves. âAh, young love! Thereâs such passion in your quarrels.â
âIâll show you passion.â Sanemi started to bark, and you elbowed him so hard in the ribs he choked.
And yeah, he pissed you off. Yeah, we was overbearing.
But, when you came home after sunset - when the world finally stilled, the wind calmed, and the weight of your sword had begun to settle heavy on your spine - youâd find him waiting.
He always waited.
Especially after the long missions. The ones in remote areas, where the threat ran deeper, quieter. The ones where you'd be gone for days. Sometimes weeks. Too far for his crow to reach often. Too dangerous for sleep to come easy.
So, heâd wait. Right there. On the top step of your shared estate, elbows resting heavy on his knees.
When you finally walked up that path - he always tried to act like he hadnât been sitting there for hours.
âDonât you have better things to do?â Youâd sigh, shrugging off your haori.
âYes.â Heâd mutter, eyes sweeping from head to toe for injury, âBut couldnât sleep, I guess.â
Youâd fight a smile, soft and small. âYouâre terrible at pretending you donât worry.â
He scoffed, gaze jerking away. âTch. Donât flatter yourself.â
But you saw it - plain as day. The way his shoulders finally dropped when you brushed past him. The way his chest rose fuller, easier, like he hadnât really been breathing until he saw you.
Sometimes, he didnât even say anything else. Just stood behind you while you peeled off your uniform, while you wiped the grime from your skin.
And when you sank onto the futon, muscles aching and eyelids drooping, he was there - pulling the blanket over you without a word. Calloused fingers brushing hair from your cheek.
You both knew - whatever rage he flung at the world during the day - his peace never came until he saw you, safe and whole, standing in front of him again.
Because he couldnât rest - not really - until you did.
Until your voice met his ears.
Until your eyes - maybe tired, but still alive - met his across the threshold.
And gods help anyone or anything who tried to stand in the way of that.
____________
He never really slept. Not unless exhaustion forced it out of him.
Your estate laterns burned low, and Sanemiâs arm was slung around your waist, heavy and unmoving. His breathing came steady and deep, but you knew better.
You could tell by the way his thumb kept dragging the same slow circle over your hipbone. The way his chest stayed too tight against your back - not loose, not softened by sleep. And every now and then, his fingers would twitch.
His sword was always close. Within armâs reach on his side of the futon, still sheathed but never far. Just in case.
And you knew it wasnât about paranoia. Not completely.
It was that restless instinct to protect. The deep, marrow-deep knowledge that peace was a fragile, dying thing - that one blink, one breath, one wrong sound, and it could all be gone.
You didnât try to tell him to sleep. Youâd learned not to.
Instead, you reached for his hand, lacing your fingers through his, and brought it to rest over your stomach.
âYouâre awake again.â You whispered, voice soft.
He huffed against your neck. âNo shit.â
You smiled faintly, brushing your thumb over his scarred knuckles. âYou could try closing your eyes.â
He just huffed. Partially annoyed, partially defeated.
So you turned slightly in his arms, just enough to see his face in the dim light - the deep shadows under his eyes, the lines carved into his brow, the exhaustion that clung to him like a second skin.
And gods, he was beautiful in that moment. Rough edges softened. Vulnerable. Human.
You reached up, brushing a bit of hair off his forehead. âClose your eyes at the same time as me.â
He swallowed hard. His jaw tightened. Then finally, âFine.â
Sometimes, if he did drift off, it didnât last.
Youâd feel it before you heard it - that sharp, quiet intake of breath as he jerked awake, eyes flying open in the dark.
Heâd sit up, scanning the room and then, like clockwork, heâd reach for you.
Two fingers pressing lightly to your throat. Checking your pulse.
And when he felt it - the steady beat beneath his fingertips, heâd exhale. âSorry.â Heâd whisper.
Youâd shake your head, catching his hand in yours, pressing it flat to your chest. âDonât be.â
Heâd hold it there for a while, feeling your heartbeat against his palm, until it lulled him back into silence.
And sometimes, instead of reaching for your pulse, heâd reach for you.
Fingers curling in the fabric of your robe, tugging it loose. No words, just that slow, careful movement - like asking without asking.
And then heâd fuck you, soft and slow - slower than usual - in the stillness of the hour before dawn. One hand gripping your thigh, the other braced by your head as he murmured into your skin.
âWant you to have my kids.â Heâd whisper, breath catching in his throat, hips pressing deeper. âNeed itâŚYouâd take care of âem. Of all of us. Keep us in line. Keep me sane.â
You laughed softly, breathless. âYou think I could keep you in line?â
He smiled against your mouth - small, aching. âYou already do.â
His thrusts stayed deep, unhurried, his hands moving up your sides, feeling every tremor of your body under his. The room smelled like sweat and heat and the faint sweetness of the oil lamp burning low.
And when he came - hot, thick, deep - he buried his face in your neck, groaning your name.
He didnât move right away. Didnât pull out. Just stayed there, trembling slightly, breathing you in.
âI want it.â He murmured again. âA home. A kid. You. All of it.â
You brushed your fingers through his hair, your heart twisting.
âI know, Nemi.â
He pressed a soft kiss to your throat, eyes closing as he breathed you in.
Maybe, you thought, this wasnât so bad after all. Maybe being his wife - being the home he kept coming back to - wouldnât be so bad.
Maybe he was right.
____________
A couple weeks later, it was a quiet night at your estate.
No Kakushi lingering in the hall. No servants fluttering between rooms, lighting lanterns or drawing water for baths. Youâd dismissed them all gently at sunset, murmuring something about wanting the house to yourself for the evening.
And for once, Sanemi was too.
Dinner was quiet, and simple. Miso broth. Grilled rice balls. Leftover tempura that you reheated yourself, waving Sanemi away when he tried to hover near the stove like he might actually offer to help.
You ate across from each other on the floor, cushions pulled in close, the lanternlight dim and flickering as you talked about nothing. Patrol routes. The last time youâd seen Mitsuri. The cracks forming in your favorite wooden teacup.
You didnât realize you were watching him so openly until he looked up at you, jaw flexing mid-bite.
âWhat?â
âNothing.â You murmured, looking away.
But it wasnât nothing. Not really.
Because Sanemi had just licked rice from his thumb - and all you could think about was how those same fingers might look curled around something much smaller. Softer. How he might cradle a child the way he held his sword - too tight at first, until he learned gentleness.
You imagined him muttering under his breath about noise and clutter and how âno one ever puts shit back where it belongs.â
But the moment that baby tugged at his leg, or held their arms up to be picked up - heâd melt. You knew it. Heâd groan, maybe. Pretend to be reluctant. But the second that wobbly little voice said âpapa,â heâd drop everything.
Scarred hands scooping up tiny limbs. Battle-worn fingers smoothing over soft cheeks.
You pictured him out in the garden, sleeves rolled up, trying to help the kid balance on their feet while grumbling about âweak little anklesâ and âwho the hell falls over that easily.â
You imagined him coming home after a long mission, blood soaked on his knuckles, and setting his sword down before walking straight into the nursery.
Yeah. You could see it.
You could see him - the man behind the mean attitude - as a father.
And it did something to you.
You blinked down at your bowl, suddenly flushed.
What the hell.
You werenât supposed to want that. You were still a Hashira. You were still capable.
Didnât you?
You chewed slowly, lips pressed together. The thought lingered. And before you even realized it, your body moved before your brain could stop you.
When he stepped into the bedroom - yawning, loose robe slipping even further down his scarred chest - you reached for him.
âThe hellâs gotten into you tonight?â He asked, catching himself on one foot as you tugged him down.
You didnât answer. Just pulled until he dropped onto the futon with a grunt, letting you swing your leg over his hips and settle in his lap.
Your robe pooled around your thighs. His hands automatically gripped them.
âYouâre in a mood.â He muttered. But his thumbs were rubbing circles into your skin, slow. Curious.
âAre you complaining?â
His jaw flexed.
âNo.â
Your mouth caught his before he could say anything else. The kiss was slow, wet - lips gliding, tongue pushing past teeth with familiar hunger. You ground against him through the fabric, hips dragging low and deliberate, and he let out a quiet grunt against your mouth.
âYou keep looking at me like that.â He rasped, eyes half-lidded, âYouâre not gonna walk tomorrow.â
âAnd if I said that was my plan?â
Sanemi groaned, head falling back, the curve of his throat exposed to the warm lamplight. You kissed down it, slow and messy, even as your hands tugged at the belt of his robe. His cock was already thick and hot beneath you, twitching with every slow grind of your hips.
âShit.â He muttered, squeezing your ass. âDidnât even get through dinner before gettinâ needy?â
You shouldâve teased him back. Shouldâve called him insufferable, rolled your eyes, pushed his head down into the futon and rode him without a word.
But instead -
âHow bad do you want me to quit?â
The question slipped out on a whisper. Too honest.
Sanemi stilled. His voice dropped low - that rare, almost reverent rasp he only ever used when it was just you.
âIâd throw myself in front of a blade if it meant youâd never have to lift yours again.â
You blinked.
âIâd tie you to this damn estate if I thought youâd let me.â
âManiac.â
He grinned, but it was pained.
The words made your chest squeeze. Because gods help you - you were starting to get it.
You wanted to laugh. Or cry. You werenât sure which. Maybe both. Because youâd spent your entire life fighting for the chance to fight. And now, with his hands on your skin, your body slick and warm and straddling his lapâŚ
You were thinking about kids. About gardens. About quiet nights waiting for him to come home.
Shit.
What if you already were?
Your eyes darted down to where his cock was pressed against your soaked folds. You hadnât bled inâŚhow long now? Three weeks? A little more?
He noticed. âThe fuck are you thinking so hard about?â He muttered, eyes narrowing as he slipped a hand between your bodies and palmed your cunt, rubbing slow.
âNothing.â You lied.
Sanemi hummed, reached up, and tugged your robe open the rest of the way, dragging it off your shoulders until you sat bare in his lap, flushed.
âLook at you.â He muttered, sitting up on one elbow just to look.
You didnât move. Didnât speak. Just watched his face as his eyes drank you in - the slope of your breasts, the sheen of sweat on your collarbone, the soft flex of your thighs straddling his lap.
You didnât hesitate.
You reached between your thighs, gripped his cock, and lined yourself up - letting yourself sink down with a breathless gasp.
âFuck.â He choked, hand slamming to your hip to keep you steady as your cunt squeezed around him.
You rolled your hips slow, eyes fluttering shut.
And all you could think about - between each wet, dragging thrust - was him.
Sanemi. Crouched in the backyard, holding a small toddler by the arms. Guiding their steps with loud, clumsy encouragement.
Sanemi. Holding a baby after a mission. Skin stained in blood, but whispering soft apologies as he cradled them against his chest.
Sanemi. Coming home to you in a quiet kitchen, arms wrapping around your waist, voice low in your ear, asking how his girls were.
You clenched around him so hard he groaned.
âFuck - you trying to snap my cock in half?â
âI think I want it.â You whispered. âAll of it.â
He blinked up at you, chest heaving.
âWant you. A family. All of it.â
He cupped your face then - both hands, suddenly - pulling you down into a kiss that tasted like home.
Your thighs started to ache, muscles trembling. His hands gripped your hips, dragging your body against his in slow, grinding rolls that made your breath catch.
Then one of his hands smoothed up your back, calloused fingers tracing your spine, before he cupped the base of your neck.
You let him move. Let him roll his hips up, deep and slow, cock dragging along every slick ridge inside you like he was trying to carve his name into you from the inside out. Every thrust was deliberate - measured, not rushed.
And gods, he was warm.
You could feel it in your core, that slow build starting all over again, your stomach tightening with every roll of his hips.
His hand cupped your ass. Guided you. Encouraged you.
âSo fuckinâ pretty like this. Mine.â He murmured, glancing down between your bodies
He sat up suddenly, arms sliding around your waist in one swift motion - hugging you to him, pulling you in so tight you could barely breathe.
You gasped, arms looping around his neck, pressing your forehead to his shoulder as his cock stayed seated deep inside you.
âMine.â He whispered, rough. âMy pretty wife.â
You froze. Just for a moment.
âYouâre all I need.â He breathed. âYou hear me?â
Your fingers dug into his hair, gripping tight. You could barely speak past the lump rising in your throat.
âAnd youâre gonna help meâŚâ He went on, voice raw and low, âRaise the best damn kids this worldâs ever seen.â
You nodded, barely breathing.
âYouâre gonna be such a good mom.â He whispered. âSo good. So sweet. Gonna love them like crazy. Gonna - fuck - gonna love me even when I donât deserve it.â
You kissed his temple, forehead, cheek - anywhere you could reach.
His arms tightened.
âIâve never wanted anything like this.â He whispered. âNot âtil you.â
You whimpered - just a little - because it hit too hard, too deep.
Because you wanted it now. You didnât know when that happened. Didnât know how his hands and voice and stupid, hopeful dreams burrowed their way inside you.
You buried your face in his shoulder, voice shaky.
âI think Iâm already pregnant.â
Sanemi stilled.
His arms didnât loosen. Just pulled you in even tighter.
ââŚGood.â
You lifted your head, and he kissed you before you could finish, slow and soft.
And then he moved again, hips tilting up, slow and deep.
You cried out - his name on your lips, nails digging into his shoulder, tears stinging the corners of your eyes.
He rocked into you with everything he had. âMy pretty girl.â He murmured. âMy sweet lady. My wife.â
âSanemi -â
âGonna make you a mom. Gonna take care of you. Always.â
You nodded, clinging to him.
âEven if I gotta cut down the whole world to do it.â
You came hard and he quickly chased after it. Your moans echoing off each other.
And when he stilled - come spilling deep and hot inside you, arms wrapped around your waist, body shuddering as he groaned into your skin - you stayed like that.
The whole world soft for once.
Just the two of you.
Maybe three.
____________
The front gate creaked open with a clang, wood smacking against wood.
âShinazugawa-sama, please, let usââ
âGo home.â Sanemi barked, not even bothering to look at the two estate servants still waiting by the corridor. âI didnât ask for a damn welcome party.â
âBut your uniform, sirââ
âI said go home.â
You smiled faintly to yourself, the laundryline creaking as you reached up to pin the last yukata sleeve in place.
You could hear him now - feet heavy, pace sure, irritation in every step. A door opened. Another slammed shut. A muttered curse. A huff of breath.
Then silence.
And a heartbeat later -
ââŚthere you are.â
You didnât turn around.
Sanemi crossed the yard in ten strides, no haori, just his sleeveless corps uniform clinging to his frame - all scarred biceps, and sharp muscle cutting beneath his open collar. His white hair was damp from training, jaw tight, the scowl on his face softening the moment he saw your hands full.
âTch.â He grumbled, coming up behind you. âDidnât I say youâre supposed to be relaxing?â
âDidnât you want a housewife? Iâm doing wife things.â
A beat of silence.
Then a resigned scoff as he wrapped his arms around you from behind, palms immediately finding your stomach like they were drawn there by instinct. He pressed his face into your shoulder, muttering something indecipherable, and you could feel the way his chest rose and fell against your back, slower now.
âBe nice to the staff, Sanemi.â
âTheyâre annoying.â
âTheyâre trying to help.â
âI donât need help. I need you.â
You laughed softly, leaning back into him. âYou saw me this morning.â
He kissed your temple, voice gruff in your ear. âWasnât enough.â
His hands rubbed along the curve of your belly, slow and warm, and you could feel the way his shoulders dropped. Like tension bled out of him with every pass of his thumb. His cheek brushed against your hair.
âYou alright?â he murmured.
âMhm.â
âFeet hurting again?â
âA little.â
He turned his head and pressed a kiss into the space just behind your ear. âShouldâve had your ass up by early with me to soak.â
You smiled. âYouâll come bathe with me later, right?â
He snorted. âWhat kind of question is that?â
Another laugh. Another little pause, full of nothing but breath and breeze and the sound of laundry rustling on the line.
âI got a couple names.â He said suddenly, low and casual, like it was something heâd been sitting on all day. âFor the next ones.â
You tilted your head. âNext what?â
He looked down pointedly.
You rolled your eyes. âWe havenât even had this one yet.â
âDoesnât matter.â He muttered, rubbing lazy circles into your side. âTold you how many I want.â
You arched a brow. âOh, so thatâs all Iâm good for now? Making babies?â
Sanemi gave a low snort, hands unapologetically sliding over your sides to settle beneath the swell of your belly. âYou werenât complaining about it the other night.â
You turned just enough to catch the smirk on his face.
He shrugged, unrepentant. âSaid youâd give me four more while you were bouncinâ on my cock. Donât remember? Sounded real sincere.â
Your face burned. âSanemiâŚâ
He ducked to kiss your cheek, all smug affection and rough warmth.
âPretty sure you asked me to fuck more babies into you. That you wanted our house full of âem.â
You slapped his chest with the back of your hand, face hot. âThat was the pregnancy hormones talking.â
He just snorted, mouth pressed to the side of your neck again, smirking against your skin. âMm. Sure it was.â He mumbled.
You shook your head. âOne at a time, Shinazugawa.â
Silence fell over the yard again. Just the two of you. Cicadas humming. Fabric flapping softly overhead.
His grip on you loosened slightly.
âCâmere.â He mumbled.
You followed him back inside.
And you thought - he had done it. He succeed in fucking the Hashira out of you.
Because nothing about you missed the corps.
Not when he was like this.
Not when home smelled like sun-warmed linens and sweat and his skin.
Not when his arms wrapped around you like this was the safest place in the world.
Not when you were pregnant with his kid, and he was already planning for the next.
You were his wife. His pretty lady. His soft place to land after long days.
summary: tanjiro and zenitsu decides to play matchmaker and set up his good friend genya who was too shy to make a move on an already shy!reader. I changed the plot slightly. longest one shot Iâve written so far!
fluff! I love and miss my baby genya so much. Iâm not ready for the next movie.
tanjiro could smell emotions, there was no doubt about that. His heightened sense were never wrong so when he smelt something so soft, so gentle, warm and sweet around genya he became curious.
âyou okay, genya?â he asked as he watched his friend polish his gun. genya cleared his throat, ây-yeah.â He whispered not looking up at him. He heard a small laughter come from the end of the training ground. It was you playing five stones with other slayers.
the smell became strongerâŚsweeter.
he looked over at genya who was looking over at you with a soft expression, his ears red. Tanjiro smiled sweetly, âI see.â he said kindly before cleaning his own katana. Genya looked back at him, âyou see what?â
âYour love for y/n.â
Genya jumped in the air and covered tanjiroâs mouth, âlove?! love?!â He panicked, âwho said I love her?! what are you talking about?! I have no idea what youâre talking about?! All those head butting must start to damage your brain!â he hissed before grabbing his things and left, his whole face red.
Tanjiro could only let out a soft laugh, âitâs okay to fall in love, genya. Love is an amazing feeling. I wish to feel the same one day.â
âshut up, tanjiro!â
once tanjiro finished cleaning his sword he heard footsteps walking towards him, âhey.â you whispered and sat down next to him, âwhy didnât you join us?â you asked, âbecause I didnât want to leave genya alone.â he replied, making you sigh, âoh.â
âheâs a good person, y/n.â
âIâm sure but you know how hard it is for me to make friends. Iâm not like you or Rengoku that can be friends with everyone. I just find it hard to express my feelings and thoughts to random people.â You voiced out, âplus, it doesnât help that he hates me. I donât have the patience like you.â
âhate you?â Tanjiro repeated, âgenya doesnât hate you. At least I donât smell hatred when heâs near or around you.â He explained. You looked into his eyes for a second before lowering your gaze to the ground, âhe does hate me. I just know it, he never looks or acknowledges me. I know I donât like to be centre of attention but I do want a voice of acknowledgement especially since weâre all in a similar age group.â
Tanjiro could smell that sadness blooming off of you. He didnât know what else to say because he didnât want to be the one to tell you genya likes you. He wanted his friend to confess.
confess? YES!
That is exactly what he will do. He will help him confess!
since tanjiro always had trouble lying he had to get zenitsu in on his plan. zenitsu was over joyed though he was jealous that tanjiro was trying to get genya with a pretty girl like you instead of him.
ây/n! y/n! y/n!â Zenitsu ran into the butterfly mansion because he knew you would be in there getting your daily massage from one of the butterfly girls. You looked up at zenitsu who was all up in your face giggling like a maniac.
ây/n..~â he sang loudly. You sat up and looked over at the flower girls who shrugged before walking away, âyes, zenitsu?â You whispered and played with your fingers, âis everything okay?â you asked feeling concerned and anxious about anyone and everyoneâs safety.
âuhmâŚâ zenitsu muttered. His task was to bring you to one of the private resting rooms where he and tanjiro locked the door with just you and genya inside. Hopefully, with the locked door genya confesses like Tanjiro planned. However bringing you to the room was quite the challenge.
âuhmâŚtan..jiroâŚâ he trailed, âhe needs help with braiding nezukoâs hair.â And with that he ran and you frowned, âdoesnât he already know how to?â You asked and trailed behind him slowly, âIâm sure other girls can help, Iâm not the best at braiding. I didnât have any sisters to practice on.â you mumbled.
As you reached the room where zenitsu was trailing you noticed it was sunny outside, âwhy would tanjiro braid her hair during sunlight hours?â you whispered to yourself. Too shy to say anything plus you didnât want to question Tanjiro.
as you reached the room before you could turn, zenitsu kicked you into the opposite room making you stumble back into something warm. You felt arms around your waist and felt yourself get lifted.
âyou okay?â you look up and saw genya looking anywhere but you. you jumped back and ran to open the door but it was locked, âyou should watch where youâre going.â he said again, his voice rough.
you felt yourself shake, âsorry for troubling you.â you told him and the two of you were basked in silence. You saw genya go all red from his ears to his finger tips and you just thought it it was in rage.
âagain, Iâm sorry for bumping into you.â You whimpered and held onto your haori and cornered yourself in the edge of a wall. Genya grunted, âitâs fine.â
The air became awkward and you watched as genya rattled on the door violently, âitâs not just stuck, someoneâs holding it from the other side.â He told you and started to elbow the door. Genya clicked his teeth he knew it was tanjiros doing. He looked over at you and saw you trembling like a little mouse. Thatâs when he noticed you were scared of the idea of being locked in a room, he just wondered if it was with him. Were you that scared of him? He knew he wasnât the most gentle looking but seeing you scared of him made something twist in his chest and he did not like the feeling.
he didnât like the way you looked at all, like the life drained from your face. He looked at the window and ran full force towards it without thinking, breaking the window and he fell right onto the ground outside. You gasped and ran after him in concern, âshinaguzawa?â
you looked down and saw him long gone, running away as fast as he can.
you heard the door unlock and both zenitsu and tanjiro had a dishearted expression, âoh no.â they said looking at the broken window, âshinobuâs going to kill me.â Zenitsu cried holding Tanjiro.
you just walked past them feeling more embarrassed more than anything, did he he hate you so much that he jumped out the window?
âI told you that was a bad idea!â Tanjiro cried making zenitsu smack his back, âit was better than tying them up together.â he defended.
âuhâŚy/n?â zenitsu walked towards you a couple days later, âmhm?â you looked up and wiped your katana with your cloth and put it back into its home.
âIâm really really really craving that ramen from the stallâŚbut Iâm training with inosuke right now.â zenitsu smacked his own head, âwhat was it calledâŚ? The one with the old rude man.â he kept pondering, âah! yes, sizzling soup! If you walk straight down the road for a few minutes youâll come across a clothing store for children, turn right from there and keep walking straight!â
you were going to start doing your laundry but you didnât want to upset him, you sighed, âokay.â
you didnât see the thumbs up zenitsu gave to tanjiro.
âyouâre the best, y/n!â
As you head towards the stall you realised he didnât even tell you what he wanted. you grit your teeth as you pondered what he would like. you saw another customer looking at the menu and you looked up, âShinazugawa?â he looked down at you before scratching his cheek and walked up to the counter, âIâll get the dish that everyone likes.â He said as he too was not familiar with the menu.
you watched him pay and you stood up to the counter, âIâll get the same.â You whispered, feeling shy the taller slayer was watching you, âsorry can you speak up?â The owner grunted, âthe same.â You said louder, a little too loud for your comfort. You heard the owner scoff, âthis is why women should stay home.â He muttered under his breath making you feel hurt. You felt your blood rush to your cheeks in embarrassment and you were about to walk away too stunned to say anything.
âDidnât you hear her, old man?! She said sheâll get the same as me! She was speaking perfectly fine. In fact she was speaking louder than me! I think itâs your hearing thatâs gone bad. You should stay home instead! You old fuck!â
you froze as profanities left his mouth and you looked at him in slight shock as he defended you. You watched as the man shut his mouth and walked back into the kitchen. You bowed as a kind gesture, âthank you. Though you really didnât need to do that.â Your cheeks beating up as you tried to calm down your racing heart. Maybe he didnât hate you as much as you thought.
genya scoffed, his cheeks flushing, âdonât worry about it. Men like him are cowards they never pick on men only women.â He grumbled after that the two of you were both silent waiting for your food, âso.â You cleared your throat, âyou said youâre not familiar with the menu, what made you come here?â
genya scratched his cheek, âTanjiro sent me, you?â You fiddled with your fingers, âzenitsu.â genya let out another huff and leaned against the stall, clicking his teeth again before looking at the sunset. he knew this was tanjiroâs doing again. But this time he canât be mad because you werenât scared. In fact you had this soft expression on your face, something with content. even though you never looked into his eyes he knew you were happy. with you being happy, he was happy too.
Maybe he can tryâŚjust so tanjiroâs efforts arenât going to waste.
The man placed your order on the table at the same time and you grabbed your bag and started to walk away, walking slowly so genya could catch up with you. You felt genya clear his throat a couple times before he opened his lips, âuhmâŚâ you paused in your step and looked up at him.
âmhm?â
âwould it be appropriate of me to ask if you would accompanyââ
he was cut off with someone running towards you, âhehehehe.â
Inosuke? shouldnât he be training with zenitsu? You thought before he stopped right in front of you.
âwow! that smells amazing, letâs eat this right now! Underlining (mispronounced name) Show me, king inosuke what you have received from that old cook!â
âuhmâŚI have no idea.â you whispered.
inosuke grabbed the bag and ran towards the demon slayer corps with you chasing behind him making genya sigh, at least you didnât hate him anymore and that made him fall for you even more.
tanjiro and zenitsu were hiding behind a few bushes to see if the two of you walked in together. âof course, inosuke has to ruin everything.â Zenitsu grumbled as he saw inosuke taking all of your attention talking about the demon he just killed while genya walked a few meters behind the both of you. ďżź
you came back into the corps after a mission and you were heading towards your âbedroomâ (it was just a spare room for demon slayers, since you didnât have a family home you just made it your own). as you headed towards the building you heard a few grunts and clashes. You turn and see tanjiro and genya sparring.
you couldnât help but watch. they werenât using their breathing technique no, they were using constant breathing. You mainly focussed on genya. You never noticed his build, how much taller he was compared to tanjiro. Nor did you notice how muscular he was. The sweat clung to his body and his scars looked beautiful under the sun rise. His body looked golden, like an artefact. You felt something heat up in your chest and your cheeks burned slightly.
âyour future wife is watching us.â tanjiro smiled slightly startling his opponent, âdonât say stuff like that so casually.â genya kicked him harshly making the redhead drop to the floor in slight pain before standing up. You were already looking at him. The two of you just gazed at each other.
Genya felt his breath hitch, this was the first time you looked at him, and your gaze was much more soft than he imagined. Your eyes, oh god, your eyes! they had an addicting flame that mixed with those colourful (eye colour) and he would forever allow himself to be hypnotised. It reminded him of a candle lit in a dark room, he was mesmerised by your beauty. You looked away first and you felt your whole body heat up. You cleared your throat and bowed before running to your room.
âTanjiroâŚwhat is happening? what is this feeling?â
âmy guess is, you finally fell in love.â Tanjiro replied happily, âif this is love...â genya gulped the knot in his throat. He felt his heart beat harshly against his ear. His lips felt hot, no his whole body felt hot. his stomach fluttered and his heart felt warm. he saw flashes of his siblings, his mum and his older brother when they were all younger, happy and hopeful. Now you came into the picture. He couldnât stop the smile widening on his face, his eyes tearing slightly at this new emotion. He placed his hand on his chest, over his beating heart.
as weeks went by you got busier with slaying demons. You were posted on the edge of the city. The demons werenât as strong so you didnât have an issue with killing them. but this one demon, you were struggling to kill her. She split into ten minor demons. You spent the whole night killing them so by the time you came back to the corps you were exhausted.
ây/n?.. Y/N!â You heard someone yell from afar and he ran to grab you. Your vision started to go blurry, âIâm okay. Iâm home.â you whispered, as your vision started to go black you felt strong warm arms around your waist before you got lifted up easily, ây/n? stay with me. stay with me! Why didnât you call someone?â you gazed up and saw genya running with you in his arms to the medical room. Blood stained his arm making him panic even more, âshinobu?! Someone?! Medic! I need a medic!â he cried and placed you on the bed.
Shinobu ran onto the bed and the butterfly girls surrounded you, they quickly cut open your uniform and saw the state of your body. Genya trembled as he saw gashes and bite marks on your trembling frame, chunks of meat and skin missing.
âsheâs going to be okay? sheâs going to be okay right?!â He yelled in panic but nobody was listening, they were too busy amending you. He felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Tengen nodding at him, âletâs wait outside. Your girl wonât find it flashy if you saw her all weak and vulnerable.â Genya didnât have it in him to correct him that you werenât his girl, at least not yet. All he cared about if you were going to make it. There was so much blood.
genya went to his shared room and stared at the ceiling. He heard rushed footsteps, âgenya! genya!â Tanjiro kicked open the door and ran towards him, nezuko following behind him. Tanjiro panted, âwhat happened? Is she okay?â Genya sat up on his bed and curled his knees to his chest, âIâm not sure.â He whispered.
âShe fought a lower moon.â genya and tanjiro let out a shriek as they saw inosuke crawling on the ceiling, âI overheard the hashiraâs talking.â He informed and jumped to the floor, âsheâs okay. Of course she is! sheâs my strongest underlining. Once she recovers back to health I will ask her to fight me!â Genya sighed in relief, âsheâll be fine.â Tanjiro whispered rubbing his back, âwhat if she isnât? I was just training. I could have joined her. Maybe my brothers right, I should leave the corps cause of how weak and useless I am.â
Itâs been a week and you were still sleeping, you were by a stream. on the other side was your family, smiling at each other having a picnic. The stream separating the both of you, âma?âŚMA!â you yelled out loud and they stood up waving at you. You let out a choked sob and ran towards them. Before you could step on the stepping stone you felt something warm grab your wrist.
it was calloused, protective, warm and gentle. you looked back but you couldnât see anything or anyone, âplease?â a voice begged, âplease wake up, y/n.. I want you to keep looking at me.â you frowned, that voice sounded familiar. Genya?
You looked back at your parents who waved at you, âfor once in your life. Be selfish.â You mother yelled from across the river, âwe love you.â
you snapped your eyes open and gasped, âgenya? genya?â you got up and you saw your room empty and sighed was that a dream? The door opened shinobu smiled softly, âlook whoâs awake~â she laid you back down and checked your wound and pulse. She smiled, âlooks like someoneâs going make a safe recovery.â you gave a small smile, your body was aching everywhere and why did you feel lighter? âThink I need painkillers.â You whimpered.
word went around you woke up and soon people started to visit you. Even the mist hashira paid a small visit and left a small leaf on your desk. âSo what do you think?â you looked and saw Tengen grinning at you, âwhat are you talking about?â You asked.
âWell with Kyojuro gone, we have a Hashira spot vacant and since you killed a lower moon (all by yourself which is very impressive) it should be yours.â he explained, âthatâs how shinaguzawa became one.â you frowned, âthereâs already a sound Hashira, you. Why would there need to be two?â
âI have no idea about that, but speaking of shinagazawa, whatâs happening between you and sanemiâs younger brother? mhm?âŚâ he grinned cheekily and sat down on the bed leaning close to your face, âsomething your mentor needs to know about?â
you lowered your gaze, you had a small smile grown on your face, you fiddled with your fingers, ânothing.â You whispered. Tengen let out a loud laugh, âit didnât look like nothing. You shouldâve seen his face when he carried you to the infirmary. He was about to cry. He was so worried. Ugh! so flashy! Two young people in love! look at you getting all shyâŚâ you slapped his hand away from your face that kept poking your cheek, âgo awayâŚâ your cheeks getting redder by the second and your stomach fluttering, âwhy you so shy? mhm? shy shy shy shy?â he kept punching your cheek, with each âshyâ word, âstop teasing me.â
before he could say anything else a knock on the door startled you. The door creaked open and genya looked through the crack. Tengen jumped up from your bed and grinned, âif you need a packet or packets let me know.â He whispered before walking out the room giving genya a rough smack on the back, âdonât be too rough on her, soldier.â
âw-what is he talking about?â Genya asked, before closing the door behind you. You shrugged, pretending you had no clue. You stood up and the room became silent between the two of you.
Before you could say a word genya rushed towards you, his hand finding your waist and other hand on the back of your head and he pulled you in a tight embrace, âthat was so scary.â He whispered.
the two of you just held each other in complete silence. You loved how warm he was. You listened to his heartbeat, âyou werenât waking up and I feared the worst.â He breathed out, his voice shaking.
You looked up at him, his shaky violet hues looked into yours. His eyes traced your face for any signs of pain or discomfort. He cradled your jaw softly and rubbed your cheek with his thumb, his finger trembling.
ây/n.â
âgenya.â
The two of you spoke at the same time, you giggled softly, âyou speak first.â you whispered. genya felt his face redden and his heart thump violently against his chest. He gulped,
âmay I kiss you?âŚ.please.â
His eyes teared as he glanced from your lips to your eyes again, his lips trembling. He looked like he needed it.
âyes, you may.â
His lips locked with yours and you were surprised by how soft and warm they were. You fisted his haori and pulled him closer. your body felt like they were warming up after a cold winter day outside. You pulled away and he placed his forehead against yours. He smiled so kindly and you wrapped your arms around his nape and pulled him to another kiss.
âdid you hear?â Iguro started as the two hashiraâs both got into a fighting stance, âthat little brother of yours was getting chummy with the girl that killed the lower moon. Mitsuri said she saw them kissing through the window.â Iguro looked at his best friends face, waiting for a reaction.
to his surprise the wind Hashira let out a sigh of relief.
âI hope she gets pregnant. That way my useless brother will be forced to leave the demon corps and provide for his family and live a normal life.â He voiced out. Just like he wanted from the start. He didnât want his baby brother in a violent world like him, he wasnât born to be violent. Him falling for you was a living proof of that. Maybe, just maybe you could convince him to retire.
His baby brother, alive and well. Just like he wanted.
I hope you guys enjoyed this one shot as much as I enjoyed writing it. if you have any requests let me know. see you in the next fic! byee x

ââ .⌠Roronoa Zoro:
You do a lot of things for Zoro without thinking.
You wake him up when itâs time to eat. You stop him from training too much. You make sure he doesnât get lost whenever the crew visits a new island.
Itâs normal for you. Someone has to do it.
But one day, the others start teasing you about it.
It happens at lunch. You are eating with the crew when Usopp laughs and nudges your arm.
âHey, arenât you gonna get your boyfriend?â
You blink. âWhat?â
Sanji, cleaning his hands with a towel, nods toward the deck âThat moss-brained idiot. You always bring him to meals. Itâs like a little routine between you two now. Like a coupleâŚâ
âWeâre notââ You nearly choke on your drink âWeâre not a couple!â
Usopp grins âThen why do you always take so much care of him?â
âBecause heâs stupid and forgets to eat!â you say, standing up âIâll go get him, but not because of whatever weird ideas you guys have.â
You walk away while they laugh behind you.
You find Zoro exactly where you expect, napping against the shipâs railing, his swords next to him.
You roll your eyes and shake his shoulder âOi, wake up. Lunch is ready.â
Nothing.
You shake him harder âZoro. If you donât get up, Iâll eat your food.â
He grumbles and waves his hand, like heâs trying to swat away a fly.
Sighing, you do what you always do. You grab his wrist and pull him up with both hands. He lets you. He always does, like itâs natural.
Zoro blinks at you, still half-asleep âHuh. You again.â
âYeah, me again,â you say âCome eat before Sanji âforgetsâ to save you anything.â
Youâre still holding his wrist, making sure he doesnât fall back asleep. Thatâs when you notice Nami and Robin watching from across the deck, smiling.
âWhat?â you ask, feeling awkward.
Nami smirks âYou two are cute.â
Your face heats up âWeâre notâheâs notâweâre not together!â
Robin chuckles âYou do take care of him a lot.â
Zoro frowns, confused âWhat the hell are you talking about?â
âNothing,â you mutterl âCome eat.â
You let go of his wrist too fast and walk away, ignoring the warm feeling in your chest.
You think itâs over, but now you notice things.
Zoro always sits next to you at meals, even when there are other seats. You always save food for him without realizing. And during fights, he always protects you first, like itâs a habit.
And, worst of all, people keep pointing it out.
ây/n,â Chopper asks one day, tilting his head âAre you and Zoro dating?â
You almost trip âWhat?! No!â
âOh...â He looks confused âBut you act like itâ
You groan âNot you tooâ
After that, you canât stop thinking about it.
The next time you wake Zoro up, your fingers stay on his wrist a second too long. The next time he pulls you behind him in a fight, your heart beats faster.
And then one evening, when you catch him watching you with a thoughtful look, you realize you might be in trouble.
That night, Zoro speaks first.
âOiâ
You look up from your seat on the deck âWhat?â
He leans against the railing, arms crossed âDoes it bother you?â
You frown âDoes what bother me?â
âWhat people are sayingâ His eyes stay on you âAbout us.â
You swallow âWhy? Does it bother you?â
He doesnât answer right away âNoâ his voice is quieter than usual.
Your stomach flips and you look at the ocean âI mean⌠itâs just dumb teasing, right?â
Zoro doesnât reply. Instead, he watches you for a long time. Then, finally, he smirks.
âDoesnât really matter what they sayâ he says, voice calm but sure âIâd still stick with you either way.â
Your breath catches and suddenly, your heart wonât let you ignore this anymore.
For the next days you try to brush off what the crew said.
You really do, but itâs impossible to ignore when Zoro keeps acting the same way.
Like when youâre on lookout duty together, and he hands you his jacket without a word.
Or when you spar with him, and he pulls his hits just enough so you donât get hurt.
Or when you fall asleep on the Sunnyâs deck, and you wake up covered with a blanket, one you know you didnât grab.
And every time it happens, you catch the crew watching. Smirking.
Itâs driving you insane.
One afternoon, you finally decide to do something about it.
You find Zoro by the training room, lifting weights. His shirt is half undone, sweat glistening on his skin, but you shove that thought aside.
You cross your arms âHey, Zoro.â
He grunts in acknowledgment, not stopping his reps.
You hesitate ââŚWhy do you treat me differently?â
He finally sets the weight down, wiping his face with a towel âWhat?â
âYou heard me...â You shift uncomfortably âYou do things for me that you donât do for anyone else.â
Zoro leans back against the wall, looking at you like you just asked a stupid question âSo?â
âSo?â You huff âThat means something, doesnât it?â
He shrugs âI guess.â
You blink âThatâs it? You guess?â
Zoro sighs, scratching his head âLook, I donât really think about it. I justââ He pauses, then shrugs again âI want to.â
Your heart skips a beat ââŚWhat?â
âI want to do those things for you,â he says simply âitâs not a big dealâ
You stare at him âNot a... Zoro, are you serious?â
He frowns âWhat, you donât like it?â
âThatâs not the point!â Your face feels hot âYou donât do this for Nami or Robin or anyone else!â
Zoro looks at you, unimpressed âYeah. Because itâs you.â
You freeze.
The way he says it, so blunt, so obvious, it makes your stomach flip.
He isnât flustered. He isnât overthinking it. Heâs just stating a fact.
ââŚOh.â
Zoro crosses his arms, watching you carefully âIs that a problem?â
You swallow âNo. Itâs justâŚâ
Itâs everything. Itâs him always being there, always looking out for you, always treating you like someone important.
Itâs a realization you should have had ages ago.
You let out a breathless laugh âIâm an idiot.â
Zoro raises an eyebrow âWell, yeah.â
You smack his arm. He smirks.
But when your hand lingers just a little too long, he doesnât pull away.
And suddenly, you both understand... this isnât just a habit.
It never was.
Ever since that conversation in the training room, things between you and Zoro have⌠shifted, but not in a bad way.
He still trains for hours. Still naps in random spots. Still bickers with Sanji.
But now, when you sit beside him, his arm naturally rests along the back of your chair.
Now, when you fight, he doesnât just watch your back, he makes sure youâre never out of reach.
Now, when you look at him for a second too long, he looks right back.
Like heâs waiting.
Like heâs giving you the choice.
One evening, you find him on the Sunnyâs deck, looking out at the ocean.
ââŚCanât sleep?â he asks.
You shake your head, stepping closer âThinking too much.â
Zoro smirks âDangerous habit...â
You huff a laugh but donât argue.
Instead, you stand beside him, silent for a moment before you finally ask...
âDo you regret telling me?â
Zoro frowns âTelling you what?â
âThat you⌠actually treat me differently. That you want to.â
His jaw tightens slightly âNo.â
Your heart does something strange âGood.â
You donât give yourself time to hesitate.
Before doubt can creep in, you grab him and pull him down.
Zoro freezes.
For half a second, he doesnât move. Doesnât even breathe.
Then a quiet growl rumbles from his chest, and his hand cups the back of your neck as he kisses you back.
Itâs firm. Solid. Like heâs been holding back for too long and refuses to anymore.
When you finally break apart, Zoro leans his forehead against yours, exhaling through his nose.
ââŚFinallyâ he mutters.
You grin âYou were waiting for me?â
âWasnât gonna rush youâ His fingers brush your jaw âYou get there when you get there.â
You hum, leaning into him âAnd now?â
Zoro smirks âNow, youâre stuck with me.â
You kiss him again, just to make sure he knows you wouldnât want it any other way.
ââ .⌠Vinsmoke Sanji:
Sanji has always been a flirt. Thatâs just how he is.
He calls Nami and Robin âmy loveâ and âmy dearâ. He spins around the kitchen whenever they compliment him. He offers to carry their bags when the crew goes shopping.
But when it comes to you, itâs different.
It starts when the crew is eating dinner together.
âSanji, can you pass the salt?â you ask.
Instead of handing you the salt shaker, Sanji grabs it, twists off the lid, and sprinkles just the right amount onto your plate.
You blink âUh. Thanks?â
âOf course, my dearâ he says smoothly. Then, as if nothing happened, he turns back to his own plate.
You think nothing of it... until you notice the way the others are watching.
Usopp raises an eyebrow âDid he just season your food for you?â
âYeah?â You shrug âWhat's new about it? He's a chef and heâs just being nice.â
Luffy grins âHe doesnât do that for anyone else.â
âThatâs not true,â you argue âSanji treats everyone like this.â
Nami hums âNot exactly like this. If we wanted more salt he would start a lecture about how it would ruin his masterpiece.â
Before you can ask what she means, Sanji stands up to grab dessert. He places a plate in front of you first. Itâs your favorite.
The crew stares.
You stare too âSanjiâŚâ
He smiles âWhat? I made extra for you.â
Usopp coughs âYeah. Okay. Totally normal.â
Robin chuckles behind her hand.
You shake your head and go back to eating. Itâs nothing. Sanji is just being Sanji.
âŚRight?
But then, you start noticing other things.
When youâre cold, Sanji drapes his jacket over your shoulders without you asking.
When you need something from a high shelf, Sanji wordlessly reaches up and hands it to you.
When youâre about to trip, his hand is always there to steady you.
And every time, every single time, he does it so naturally that you donât even think about it.
Until one day, Franky whistles and says, âYou two sure act like a couple.â
You nearly drop the drink in your hands âWhat?!â
Sanji, who was stirring a pot at the stove, pauses.
Franky leans against the counter, grinning âYou two do all that coupley stuff. He gives you the best food, takes care of you, treats you differently from everyone elseââ
âThatâs not true,â you say quickly âSanjiâs like this with everyone.â
Franky snorts âNah. He does flirt with everyone. But this?â He gestures between you and Sanji âThis is different.â
You glance at Sanji. Heâs staring into the pot, silent.
Your face feels hot now âYou guys are reading too much into things.â
âSure we are...â Franky says, smirking. Then he leaves.
The kitchen is quiet now. You swallow and turn to Sanji.
ââŚIs it true?â
He looks at you. His usual confident smile is gone. Instead, thereâs something softer in his eyes.
âI donât knowâ he says âis it?â
Your heartbeat quickens.
Suddenly, every touch, every sweet gesture, it all feels different.
Maybe it wasnât just a habit.
Maybe it was something else all along.
After all this the teasing has only gotten worse.
Ever since Nami and Usopp pointed out how Sanji treats you, they will not let it go.
âHere comes Sanjiâs beloveeeed~â Usopp sings when you walk into the kitchen.
âI should start charging you for all the extra food Sanji makes only for youâ Nami smirks.
Even Luffy, who usually doesnât care about these things, grins at Sanji one afternoon and says âOi, cook, when are you gonna marry y/n?â
Sanji chokes on his cigarette so hard he has to brace himself on the counter.
You groan and drag a hand down your face.
But what really drives you insane?
Sanji never denies it.
He stutters, blushes, waves his hands, but he never says âThatâs not true.â
Because it is true.
And itâs starting to drive you crazy.
You try to ignore it. But then you start noticing things, even the smallest ones.
Sanji never lets you carry anything heavy.
He always pours you tea first, even before Nami and Robin.
He adjusts your chair at dinner like itâs second nature.
And the worst part? He doesnât even realize heâs doing it.
But you do.
And now, every time he gives you that lookâthe one thatâs soft, full of admiration, like you hung the damn sun in the skyâyour heart stumbles over itself.
This has to stop.
Or something has to change.
It happens one evening after dinner.
Youâre in the kitchen, helping Sanji clean up. He hums as he washes the dishes, sleeves rolled up, golden hair falling over his forehead.
You watch him for a second, then take a deep breath.
âSanji.â
He glances at you, smiling âYes, my love?â
You grip the counter âWhy do you act like weâre together?â
Sanji freezes.
The faucet keeps running. The kitchen is warm with the smell of spices. But Sanji is frozen.
Slowly, he turns his head toward you ââŚP-Pardon?â
You cross your arms âYou treat me differently. Even the crew notices. You never do this stuff for anyone else.â
Sanji swallows hard âIââ
âYou never deny it,â you press âand honestly? Iâm tired of waiting for you to finally say something.â
Sanji stares at you like youâve just flipped his entire world upside down.
His hands shake. His lips part like he wants to speak, but nothing comes out.
ââŚSanji.â Your voice softens âDo you want this to be real?â
A shuddering breath leaves him. He looks at you, eyes wide, vulnerable.
âMore than anything...â he whispers.
Your heartbeat stutters.
Thatâs it. Thatâs all you need to hear.
You step forward, grab the front of his shirt, and kiss him.
Sanji malfunctions.
His entire body locks up, like his brain has completely short-circuited.
For a solid two seconds, he does not move.
Then a noise escapes him, something between a whimper and a desperate sigh, and his hands come up to cup your face, pulling you closer.
The kiss is warm, overwhelming, but soft, like heâs afraid youâll disappear if he holds on too tight.
When you finally pull away, heâs redder than his own suit.
ââŚM-Mon amour,â he breathes, voice shaking âYou...you actually...â
You smirk âTook us long enough, cook.â
Sanji makes a strangled sound and immediately buries his face in your shoulder, arms wrapped tight around you.
Outside, the crew is losing their minds.
âTOLD YOU!â Usopp shouts.
âI WON THE BET!â Nami cheers.
âOi, Sanji, you alive in there?â Zoro snickers.
Sanji doesnât answer. Heâs too busy melting against you, whispering sweet nothings into your skin.
And honestly?
You think youâll let him.
ââ .⌠Trafalgar D. Law:
Law is not the kind of person who likes physical contact. He doesnât let most people touch him. He keeps his distance, always standing at the edge of conversations with his arms crossed. If someone bumps into him, they get a glare.
But for some reason, you are different.
It starts when Bepo hands you a coat one evening.
âHere,â he says, tail flicking âyou left this in the lounge.â
You blink at it. Itâs black, long, and definitely not yours.
âThis isnât mineâ you say, confused.
Bepo tilts his head âOh. But you always wear the captainâs coat, so I thought it was yours now...â
You freeze.
âWait. What?â
Shachi walks by and hears the conversation. He grins âYeah, you totally do. Every time youâre cold, you steal his coat.â
Penguin nods âAnd Law never complains.â
You open your mouth. Close it. Try to remember.
âŚOkay, maybe you have borrowed Lawâs coat a few times. But thatâs just because itâs warm! And because itâs there! And because...
Oh no.
Your stomach twists âI... I do not...â
âSure you donât...â Shachi teases âWhatâs next? Calling him âdearâ?â
You groan and shove the coat at Bepo before walking away.
But now, you canât stop thinking about it.
After this, you start noticing other things. Like how Law always lets you into his personal space.
How you can tug his hat down over his eyes without him pushing you away.
How he casually rests his hand on your shoulder when he stands next to you.
One day, you trip over a loose crate. Before you even hit the ground, a familiar blue glow surrounds you... Lawâs Room.
In an instant, youâre back on your feet, completely unharmed.
The Heart Pirates snicker.
âCaptain didnât even thinkâ Penguin whispers.
âHe never uses Room for anyone elseâs clumsinessâ Shachi adds.
You glare at them âI heard that.â
They just smirk.
Law doesnât say anything. He just sighs and keeps walking, like saving you without thinking is the most natural thing in the world.
Your heart does something weird. You ignore it.
Later, you sit on a crate, arms crossed. Law stands next to you, reading a medical book.
You glance at him âYour crew keeps calling me âCaptainâs partner.ââ
He doesnât look up âSo?â
âSo, why?â
He flips a page âProbably because you act like one.â
Your brain short-circuits.
You stare âExcuse me?â
Law finally looks at you, raising an eyebrow âYouâre always in my quarters, you steal my coat, and you act like you belong next to me. Theyâre not wrong.â
Your face burns âI... You let me do all that!â
He smirks âI know.â
You open your mouth, but no words come out.
Because suddenly, you realize... he has let you. And he still is.
Ever since Bepo and the others pointed out how Law treats you differently, itâs been impossible to ignore.
The extra care during missions. The way he always stands just a little closer than necessary. The way he lets you touch him, his arm, his shoulder, even his hand, when no one else would dare.
But what really gives him away?
The way his ears burn red every time you get too close.
And yet he never says anything.
If you didnât know better, youâd think he was running an experiment to see how long he could keep this up before you lost your mind.
So tonight youâre calling him out.
You find him in his quarters, buried in medical books.
âHey, Law.â You lean against the desk, arms crossed âCan I ask you something?â
His eyes flick up âWhat?â
You tilt your head âDo you like me?â
Law chokes.
Not just a little cough... he full-on chokes on air, slamming his book shut as if thatâll somehow save him.
âWhatâ?!â He coughs into his fist âWhere the hell did that come from?â
You raise an eyebrow âYou tell me.â
Law scowls, shifting uncomfortably âYouâre being ridiculous.â
âOh? Am I?â You step closer.
He stiffens âWhat are you...?â
You place your hands on the arms of his chair and lean in, caging him in.
His breath hitches.
Oh. Oh.
He is not prepared for this.
âLaw,â you murmur, watching his face closely âyou never let anyone touch you, but you let me.â
His jaw clenches âThat doesnâtââ
âYou always make sure I rest. You check my injuries before anyone elseâs.â
âBecause youâre recklessââ
âAnd...â you lean even closer âyour ears are red right now.â
Law swallows.
You smirk âSo, wanna try again?â
For a long moment, he just stares at you, lips parted, golden eyes darting between yours.
Then, in a last-ditch effort, he growls... âYouâre annoying.â
You hum âMaybe.â
And then you kiss him.
Law goes still.
For the first time since youâve known him, he is completely speechless.
But then a quiet sound escapes him, and his hand suddenly grips your wrist, holding you there.
You almost pull back, unsure, until his other hand slides around the back of your neck, fingers threading into your hair, and he kisses you back.
Itâs hesitant at first, but when you donât pull away, something shifts.
The kiss deepens, his grip tightens, and the heat radiating off of him is enough to make you dizzy.
When you finally part, Law exhales sharply, pressing his forehead against yours.
ââŚYouâre gonna be a problemâ he mutters, voice rough.
You grin âYeah?â
His fingers tighten in your hair âYeah.â
And then, despite everything, he kisses you again.
Because for once in his life heâs done running.
ââ .⌠Portgas D. Ace:
Ace is naturally affectionate.
He throws an arm around peopleâs shoulders, laughs loudly, and grins like the world is a joke heâs in on. Heâs warm but also because he makes people feel welcome.
So itâs not weird that he touches you a lot.
Right?
It starts when Marco sits down next to you, smirking.
âYou and Ace finally together, yoi?â
You look at him confused âwhat do you mean?â
âA couple⌠are you two a couple?â
You almost drop your drink âWhat? No!â
Marco raises an eyebrow âYou sure? He always saves you a seat at meals. Always gives you his food if you ask. Always keeps an eye on you during fights.â
You roll your eyes âThat doesnât mean anything. Heâs just like that.â
âNot with everyoneâ Marco takes a sip of his drink âJust you.â
You open your mouth to argue, but then you donât know what to say, because now, youâre thinking about it.
The next time Ace sits beside you at dinner, you notice how he slides his plate a little closer to yours, letting you steal his food.
The next time the crew docks at an island, you notice how he instinctively waits for you before walking off together.
The next time youâre about to trip, you donât even get the chance to fall, Ace grabs your wrist and steadies you like itâs second nature.
And maybe it is second nature.
âCareful, Ace,â one of the division commanders teases âIf you keep acting like that, y/n might actually think youâre in love.â
Ace laughs, scratching the back of his head âYeah, yeah.â
You laugh too. Because itâs just a joke⌠Right?
One night, you sit together on the deck, watching the ocean.
You fidget for a second before saying âThe crew keeps calling us a coupleâ
Ace hums âYeah?â
You glance at him âWhy do you think that is?â
He leans back, arms behind his head, and grins âProbably because we act like one.â
You choke on your own breath âExcuse me?!â
Ace tilts his head âI mean, we do everything together. You always take my food, and I always let you. You always pull me out of trouble, and I always let you. Feels natural, doesnât it?â
Your brain short-circuits.
Because now that you think about it... yeah, it does feel natural.
ââŚAce,â you say slowly âAre we...?â
He looks at you, amusement flickering in his eyes âWhat do you think?â
Your stomach flips.
Because suddenly, youâre not sure where the habit ends and the feelings begin.
After this, Ace keeps flirting with you all the time.
Itâs just who he is.
Winks across the deck. Throwing an arm around your shoulders. Calling you hot stuff like itâs your actual name.
Youâre used to it.
But after the teasing from Marco and Thatch, after realizing that Ace treats you differently, you start to wonder.
Is he just playing around? Or is there something real underneath?
Thereâs only one way to find out.
The perfect opportunity comes one afternoon, when Ace flops down next to you on the Moby Dickâs deck, grinning.
âHey,â he drawls, resting an arm behind his head âMiss me?â
You smirk âI saw you literally two hours ago.â
âThatâs two hours too long.â He winks âBet you were thinking about me the whole time.â
You hum, tilting your head âYou really think that, huh?â
Ace chuckles âCâmon, you love me.â
You raise an eyebrow âProve it.â
He blinks âHuh?â
You shift, leaning closer with a sly smile âYou say all this stuff, Ace. You flirt, you tease... but are you actually serious?â
For the first time, he hesitates.
Just for a second, but itâs enough.
ââŚOf course I am,â he says, but his usual confidence isnât all there.
You smirk âThen show me.â
Before he can react, you grab his hat, his precious hat, and plop it onto your own head.
Ace short-circuits.
âOi! Thatâs...!â He reaches for it instinctively but stops mid-motion, staring at you.
You tilt the brim with a smirk âWhat? You said you liked me, right?â
Ace swallows âY-Yeah?â
âThen just take it back.â
You expect him to snatch it back playfully.
What you donât expect is for Ace to grin, eyes flickering with mischief, and suddenly tackle you onto the deck.
You yelp as he hovers over you, forearms braced on either side of your head.
The crew whoops in the background, but neither of you pay them any attention.
Ace smirks down at you âYou think youâre funny, huh?â
You grin âA little.â
Ace shakes his head, chuckling, but then his expression softens.
He reaches up, tilts the hat back just enough to see your face properly.
And then without thinking he leans down and kisses you.
Itâs grinning into the kiss kind of playful. Itâs warm and teasing but full of something deeper.
And when he pulls back, face way too close, he murmurs âNow you gotta prove it.â
Your heart races.
You donât back down. Instead, you tug him down by his necklace and kiss him again.
This time, Ace melts.
When you finally break apart, Ace huffs out a breathless laugh.
âWell,â he grins âGuess you do love me.â
You roll your eyes âShut up.â
But you donât stop him when he kisses you one more time.
Because, honestly?
Heâs right.
ââ .⌠Sabo:
Sabo is easy to be around.
Heâs kind, smart, and always ready to listen. He laughs at your jokes, never forgets your favorite things, and somehow always knows when you need him.
So itâs no surprise that you spend a lot of time together.
But apparently, the way you act around him is a little⌠suspicious.
It starts when youâre walking through the Revolutionary Army base with Koala.
âSo,â she says casually âwhen are you and Sabo going to make it official?â
You nearly trip over your own feet âWhat?!â
Koala grins âCome on, donât play dumb. You two already act like a couple.â
You scoff âNo, we donât.â
She raises an eyebrow âOh really? Whoâs the first person Sabo looks for when he gets back from a mission?â
ââŚMe.â
âWhoâs the only person he lets borrow his gloves?â
ââŚMe.â
âAnd whoâs the only one he lets fall asleep on his shoulder without complaining?â
You open your mouth, but nothing comes out.
Becauseâoh.
Oh.
Koala smirks âSee what I mean?â
You shake your head âThat doesnât mean anything. Weâre just close.â
She shrugs âIf you say so.â
But now, you canât stop thinking about it. You start noticing things, like how Sabo always finds a reason to sit next to you during meals, or how he reaches out to fix your collar or tuck your hair behind your ear like itâs normal, or how he always makes sure you have a blanket when you fall asleep at your desk, even though no one else gets that treatment.
And the worst part?
Now that youâre paying attention, everyone else is too.
âI swear, itâs like theyâre marriedâ one soldier mutters.
âThey finish each otherâs sentencesâ another whispers.
âBet they donât even realizeâ someone else chuckles.
He frowns, then wordlessly slides his drink toward you.
You stare at it ââŚDid you just give me your drink?â
He shrugs âYou like it more than I do.â
You glance around. Several soldiers are watching now, smirking.
Slowly, you push the drink back to him.
Sabo looks confused âYou donât want it?â
Your face burns âNope. Iâm fine.â
He tilts his head, then shrugs and takes a sip.
The others snicker.
You sigh.
Later that night, you sit beside him on the rooftop, watching the stars.
âSabo,â you say carefully âdo we⌠act like a couple?â
He hums âWhy?â
âPeople keep saying we do.â
Sabo leans back on his hands, thinking. Then he smiles âI guess I can see why.â
Your heart skips a beat âYou can?â
âWell, weâre always together,â he says easily âI trust you more than anyone. You take care of me, I take care of you. Feels normal.â
You stare at him âThatâs⌠kind of a couple thing, donât you think?â
Sabo looks at you for a long moment. Then he smirks.
âWell,â he says, voice teasing but gentle âdo you want it to be?â
Your breath catches.
And suddenly, the answer seems obvious.
Sabo has always been easy to be around.
You never have to force a conversation. Never have to second-guess his presence.
Heâs just there, a steady warmth beside you, the hand that always steadies your back when you walk through the Revolutionary camp, the person you find yourself naturally leaning against when youâre tired.
And the thing is?
He never pulls away.
Even now, sitting beside you near the fire after a long day, his arm rests lightly along the back of your seat. Close enough to feel, but not demanding.
Itâs natural.
But tonight, somethingâs different.
Thereâs a quiet between you, not uncomfortable, but charged with something unsaid.
You donât know who moves first, but suddenly your head is resting against his shoulder, and instead of shifting away, Sabo just exhales softly, tilting his head against yours.
You close your eyes, feeling the warmth of him, the steady rise and fall of his breathing.
ââŚI like thisâ you murmur, barely thinking.
Sabo hums âMe tooâ A pause. Then... âI always have.â
Your heart stutters.
Slowly, you lift your head, turning just enough to meet his gaze.
His expression is calm, too calm, like heâs waiting for you to understand something heâs known for a long time.
And you do.
Because of course it was always him.
You donât say anything. You donât need to.
Instead, you reach up, gently tracing your fingers along his jaw.
Sabo closes his eyes briefly at the touch before opening them again, watching you with something unreadable, something deep.
Then, without hesitation, he leans in.
The kiss is slow, certain.
Itâs not rushed, not desperate because this was never a question.
It was always going to be this.
When you part, Sabo lingers, his forehead resting against yours.
His hand finds yours, fingers lacing together easily.
ââŚFeels like we shouldâve done that a long time agoâ he murmurs, lips brushing against yours.
You smile âMaybe. But I think we got here at the right time.â
Sabo chuckles softly, squeezing your hand âYeah. I think so too.â
And when he kisses you again, it feels like something that was simply meant to be.

âIt's really good to hear your voice saying my name, It sounds so sweet. Coming from the lips of an angel Hearing those words, it makes me weakâ - lips of an Angel, Hinder
-------(3rd pov)-------
Bella and Edward's wedding ceremony went off without a hitch and now they're husband and wife. Y/n clapped for her little brother dispite the lonly and aching pain she felt, she wanted what Edward had.
During the reception y/n turned off her hearing aid, getting tired of all the noise that surrounded her. She was leaning against the wall away from everyone when her best friend Eleazar came up to her.
âyou okay?â he asked, she didn't respond too stuck in her day dream. Eleazar nudged her, making her look his direction. She turned her hearing aid back on a smiled.
âyou turned your hearing aid off again?â he asked. She shrugged. âI hate how loud it was gettingâ
âtry listening to all this with vampire hearingâ Eleazar joked.
As the friends talked something or someone cought her eyes. She looked over and saw a scruffy vampire joking with Emmett and Rosalie. She pointed towards the vampire. âhey El, who's that?â
His gold eyes shot to the direction she was pointing. âI don't know... Friend of Edward's maybeâ
Garrett looked around as he was joking with Emmett, he tried to ignore the smell of humans everywhere as he had promised not kill anyone, but then one smell cought his attention, it wasn't an appetizing smell... It was a smell he was attracted to. He looked over and saw a woman, the prettiest one he's ever seen.
He couldn't explain the emotions he was feeling, but he knew one of them was jealously as she laughed with a guy he didn't know. He nudged Rosalie not taking his eyes off the girl.
âwho's that over there...â he pointed at y/n. Rosalie smiled. âthat's y/n.. She's the newest member of the family, she's kinda like our big sisterâ
âshe's gorgeousâ he mumbled and for a second he forgot about the advanced hearing him and Emmett possessed. Emmett smacked him upside of the head. âthat's my sister... My human sisterâ
Garrett, not phased by the smak walked towrds y/n, completely ignoring Emmett's threats. As he silently walked towrds her he felt relieved as another woman whisked the guy she was talking to way.
âHey, I'm Garrettâ he said flashing his devishly handsome smirk. âyou looked lonelyâ
ây-you mean boardâ I she chuckled. He smiled then looked at all the couples dancing. âwould you care to dance?â he held out his hand, y/n didn't know why but she took the strangers hand.
âI'm y/n by the wayâ
âGarrettâ he replied as he pulled her to the dance floor and flawlessly swayed around the room among the other couples his ruby eyes stared into her's like a love sick puppy. âcan I ask you something?â he asked.
âSureâ part of her thought he'd ask about the hearing-aid, it's always the first thing people notice about her. But not him, the first thing he noticed was her eyes. But then he asked somthing cought her off guard.
âDo you believe in love at first sight -or should I walk by again?â he grined. She let out a chuckle and looked away as she unexpectedly blushed at the cheesey pick-up line.
âreally? You've been spending too much time with Emmett it sounds likeâ she joked. Before he could awnser Jasper came up with smile but his eyes held fire.
âcan I cut in?â He asked. Y/n gave her brother a weird look as Garrett released his hands from her.
âSureâ
âwhat was that about?â she asked putting her hands on his shoulders. Jasper just shrugged. âWhat, I can't dance with my sister?â
âyou can but, Emmett and you both have been acting weird, so has Eleazarâ I said as we danced to a more up-beat song.
She looked passed Jasper's shoulder and saw Garrett talking to Rosalie. He looked up and their eyes met. She immediately looked down when he flashed her a smirk.
The smiles, the pick up lines, it didn't go no where the rest of the night. It's not like he had the chance, her brothers and best friend wouldn't leave her side. It didn't go anywhere passed a dance, or so she thought.
After Bella and Edward left for their honeymoon people dispersed throughout the next two days. But one didn't leave, Garrett hit on her every chance he got and she didn't know why. She was sure it was just in his nature to do so, but it was annoying.
She always felt a little insecure about her hearing aid, she never thought a guy would find it attractive. She got over it thought and she wasn't ashamed of who she was, but then Garrett shows up and she starts to question everything.
~~~~~~~~(.......)~~~~~~~~
It was night three and Garrett still. Hadn't left, he used the excuse that he wanted to catch up with Emmett. He wasn't catching up with Emmett.
That night she sat on the roof of the house trying to get some peace and quiet, but she wouldn't be alone for long.
âAny chance you have an extra heart? Mineâs been stolenâ Garrett smirked as he jumped on the roof and sat next to her.
âGarrettâ she said simply.
âYes?â he smiled.
âshut upâ she smiled softly and shook her head.
He chuckled, she looked at him and she couldn't held but laugh with him. They talked into the night, important and useless stuff on both ends.
âcan I ask you something?â he askedâ
She nodded. âhow did you get thing on your ear?â
She recoiled and moved her hair over it without relizing it. He grabed her hand gently stopping her. âI'm sorry I didn't mean to upset youâ
She shrugged. âI've had it as long as I could remember... I was one of Carlisle's patience before he took me inâ
âI know thst lookâ he started as he read her body language. He could be all jokes but over the centuries he learned how to read people.
âI didn't realize it when we first met ya know? I noticed your eyesâ he said. She looked into his red ones and saw nothing but the truth. Being around Edward for some long she learned how to read people too, just the human way.
âI think your beautifulâ he admitted. She looked at him shocked at his boldness, but then she couldn't deny the connection between them. Without out thinking he leaned down and connected her lips to his could ones. He froze for a second, not expecting it but his brain quickly rewired and he pulled her closer.
~~~~~~~~(1st pov, present time)~~~~~~~~
The whole family was in shock when Renesmee was born, the little miracle quickly terned into a curse when Irina outed us to the vulturi.
We gathered many witness, even some of Garrett's old war buddies. The house was full of red eyes and being human thst wasn't so great. Garrett knew that too which is why he wouldn't leave my side for too long, and if he did Eleazar or carlisle would be with me, watching me like a couple of body guards. As much as he loved being around my brothers I think those two are the only ones he really trusted.
He especially didn't trust Vladimir, not because he thought he would drink me, but beacuse he saw the way Vladimir would look at me and flirt with me. He was nice and I was too head over heals about Garrett to realize the flirting.
After Garrett told me his concerns I started to notice Vladimir's flirting... Then it started to get annoying. Tody was one of those days.
Vladimir smirked and continued to flirt, you could tell it was getting on Garrett's last nerve. Vladimir then tunred to carlisle. âcarlisle, do those little hand movements you and Garrett always do, she can't hear meâ
I snorted âI'm not ignoring you, my hearing aid just doesn't like youâ I said not taking my eyes off my book. âand it's sign language you Dracula want to beâ
Garrett smirked as I snapped my book closed and left the living room. âthat's my girlâ he smirked and followed after me.
We got threw the week though and the kid was safe and so was the family. The witness said their good byes thought out the week and left for home. The Denalis were the last to stay, which was nice to just morn the death of Irina.
Sigh...
I don't know how it happened really, one second I was saying goodbye to my knew friend Benjamin and then the next I'm lying in the woods covered in my own blood... I couldn't hear a thing either.
~~~~~~~~(Garrett's pov)~~~~~~~~
I looked around the house feeling uneasy. Y/n hadn't been back yet and that was unsal for her.
âhave you guys seen y/n?â I asked coming into the living room. The family looked up confused.
âsomethings wrongâ I mumbled. Some of them shrugged and said she usually disappears after a 'family emergency'
âmaybe she got tired of you and left for Egypt with Benjaminâ Emmett joked. I knew it was a joke but I was to nervous to think of a usual comeback.
Everyone chuckled but Eleazar looked at me just as worried. âyour right... Somthings not rightâ
Alice dropped something and gasped. She looked panicked, I feared the worst. âit's y/nâ
I didn't think twice and was out of the house in seconds with Carlisle and Eleazar behind me. We raced around the woods frantically. The deeper we got the stronger the smell of her blood was, I gasped feeling sick at how strong it was.
I stoped and saw her hearing aid. âover here!â I shouted. Eleazar was at the scene first. I jumped back aginst a tree at the sight of her... Blood never looked so sickening.
âGarrett she needs you right nowâ Eleazar said as his hands socked up the blood as he checked her womds
âI can't do itâ I gasped. âchanger her! Please before she diesâ
I closed my eyes as Eleazar bit into her. I would be sobbing like a baby if I was human.
~~~~~~~~(1st pov)~~~~~~~~
When I opened my eyes everything seemed so clear. I could see the tiniest cracks in the wall and every single dust partical.
I heared birds chirping. I was so loud it was like the bird was on my shoulder yelling in my ear.
Wait..
I reached up and I didn't feel my hearing aid. I immediately sat up and looked around. My eyes stopped on Garrett. He looked so relived.
âare you okay?â he asked frantically. My eyes widened at how clear his voice sound, I could always sort of hear him but to hear him clear as day made me want to cry.
âsay something elesâ I said ignoring the question. He looked at me with a questioning look. âWhat?â
âsay something! I can hear!â Garrett shot up immediately with suprise. âoh shit!â
He looked around with the biggest smile. âoh my god! I love you! This is greatâ he picked me up and spung me around.
âI love the sound of your voiceâ I chuckled. He pressed his lips to mine in a passionate kiss. âI love youâ he said.
Summary: In a town of punishment and suffering, you are the only one who walks beside Pyramid Head without fear.
Silent Hill had never known love.
It was a place of torment and suffering. It twisted souls into monsters and forced them to relive their worst sins.
But you?
You were different.
Because you had been chosen.
The others feared Pyramid Head. They spoke of him in hushed voices, whispered of the executioner who brought judgment upon the damned.
But you had never feared him.
You had met him in the fog, seen him standing over you like a sentinel, cutting down the horrors that wanted to claim you. You had felt the weight of his hand against your back, his fingers curling around your wrist, not to hurt you, he would never hurt you, but rather to hold you.
He was a monster, they said. A being of violence.
But they had never seen the way he shielded you with his body when the town shifted when rusted walls closed in and the world trembled. When the nightmares came out.
They had never felt the way he pulled you close, the way his massive hands guided you through the darkness, keeping you safe.
He had been a man, once.
You knew it in the way he touched you. Careful. Purposeful.
There was a soul beneath the steel and silence, one that had chosen you in a place where nothing was meant to be kept.
And Silent Hill hated it. The monsters did. Their jealousy and fury manifest in the most terrible ways.
They had tried to take you.
They had whispered in your mind, trying to pull you away from him. But every time, Pyramid Head had found you.
He destroyed anything that tried to take you.
And as you stood in the ruins of what had once been a church, the air thick with the scent of blood and rust, you made your choice.
You turned to him, lifting your hands to press them against his bloodstained chest.
His breathing was slow, deep.
He did not move. But you felt him watching you.
âI am yours,â you whispered.
The air shifted. The town screamed.
Pyramid Headâs hands came to rest against your back, pulling you against him, his grip firm.
His hold was unbreakable, a vow stronger than any words.
Silent Hill would never understand what you were to him.
But it did not matter.
Because you were his.
And nothing would take you from him.

Summary: Everyone has their own hidden little secrets, it just happens to be that Heisenberg's secret is the rarest and most beautiful flower.
Everyone has their secrets. Even the four Lords.
But no one could have guessed Heisenberg's.
Down deep in the dark, the deepest and most hidden place in his entire factory, just about where the rust ended, there was a living space.
A small, yet comfortable little place that the Lord himself built with his two hands.
Heisenberg was proud, he provided a home.
And in that home lived his beautiful little flower, his bride.
Someone no one would expect to find in such a place.
Yet, there you were, hidden away from Miranda and the other Lords.
Heisenberg's beautiful flower.
You were the reason he wanted to fight to be free. You were the reason he wanted to leave this Godforsaken place and start a new life.Â
But no matter what he did, he failed.
He always moved back to his chambers, feeling like a failure. But each time, when he saw you, he felt at ease. As if all his worries melted away.
And you loved him so much.
"Karl?" you called out as he got out of the bath. "Are you hungry?"
"Yes." came his reply and soon he joined you in the kitchen. His arms moved around you as his mouth moved to your neck.
"Not like that..." you giggled as he pulled you closer.
"I'm always hungry for you, Doll. But I do need some food before I have my dessert." you smiled at him as you both finally moved to the table so you could eat.
---
You woke up to the feeling of cold on your feet.
You were naked under the blanket, with an equally naked Karl attached to your back.
It got rather cold in the factory during winter.
But you woke up with the need of pee and your throat felt dry.
You wiggled out of Karl's hold.
You put a long shirt on, which reached to your knees before leaving the room and headed to the bathroom then the kitchen.
On your way to the kitchen, you noticed the door to your home open, you found it weird but decided to just close the door and get your glass and go back to bed.
You poured a glass of water for yourself when you thought you heard a noise.
The factory did make a lot of noise so you didn't think much of it.
However, the second time, you couldn't ignore the footstep you heard, you knew it wasn't Karl, you could hear him snoring.
And just as you rounded a corner, there it was.
One of Karl's many creations.Â
It had human legs but it was mostly a machine with huge machetes for arms.
You wanted to run but the thing was faster, it slashed and as you put up your hand to protect yourself, it cut into your palm.
"KARL!" you managed to yell, hoping he would come and save you.Â
And again, the monster got ready and this time it slashed your forearm. You made another sound of pain and the machine-human fell to its knees, you heard the metal in his body squeeze.
You looked to your right and noticed Karl.
He was looking at your bloody hand. He made a gesture with his hand and the monster flew backwards, right out the metal door.
He rushed you into the bathroom, taking out a first aid kit and he started to work on your arm.
"This is all my fault."
"It is not, Karl."
"I didn't check if the door was closed."
"It's not your fault." you insisted, but he kept on avoiding your eyes. "Karl." you called out but he didn't listen. He bandaged up your arm and took you back to your bed.
"I'll clean up." he said and you knew he needed his own space and time. So, you allowed him to have it.
By the time he arrived back, you were fast asleep.
---
The next morning, you woke up alone.
You looked for Karl, but he seemed to have gone missing.
You knew better than to roam the factory, so you stayed put, reading your romance books and cooking lunch and dinner.
You also didn't forget to take care of your wound, you cleaned and re-wrapped it.
Karl arrived back later than usual, you waited in the living room for him.
He came into the room, his eyes filled with pain.
"I'm so sorry."
"It is not your fault. The thing wandered where it shouldn't have."
"Exactly, so, I prepared a new place for you, it is still rough around the edges but..."
"Will I get a window?"
"Yes, and a balcony. I'm done hiding you down here, it is far too dangerous."
"But what if Miranda finds out?"
"I bet my ass, she already knows." Karl made his way over to where you were sitting on the couch and knelt down, holding your hand in his. "I always fared something would happen down here with you, you will be a lot safer upstairs." he said and you nodded, you leaned over and placed a kiss on his lips.
"Okay, when will I move?"
"Hopefully tomorrow. I have them working on the rooms for you, then you can add your touch to it." you smiled at him.
"Thank you, but you got to stop blaming yourself, Karl."
"How can I ever make it up to you?" his fingers gently ran along the edge of your badage.
"I have a couple ideas. You can start with your fingers, then your mouth and last-"
"You are naughty." he smirked.
"Just the way you like it." you put your hand on the back of his neck and pulled him up to kiss you.
Karl was definitely thankful for you and your forgiveness. He was so mad with himself all day, he killed every single one of his machines in revenge.
He shouldn't have, but the thought of losing you became overbearing. It was all too much for him.
And he will make sure that no one ever will get to you. Not Miranda and not the entire world, for you were his hidden flower in a garden of madness and pain.

Falling in love with James Aubrey after losing Lance Sweets:
Paring: James Aubrey x Hodgins!Reader, previously Lance Sweets x wife!Reader
Summary: learning to fall in love again after your husband Lance passes away. - there will be a part 2!
đЎMasterList đЎPart 2
you first met James Aubrey when he helped you and your husband Lance figure out who framed your best friend Seeley Booth.
Your first thoughts of him was that he was kinda adorable with his extreme eating habits and goofy personality.
âhe's adorableâ you whispered to Booth, when you said it back then you didn't mean it as you were attract to him. You ment as if someone called a small child adorable.
What you didn't know was he was smitten when he saw you, he thought you were beautiful and extremely smart. He couldn't stop staring at you and your husband and best friend noticed.
Lance trusted you and it was clear you weren't interested to Aubrey, he let it go and focused on the case. He was still sharp towrds him though, he was checking his wife out after all.
Booth had a different reaction, he thought it was humorous but wanted to Inform him before he started playing with fire. He took Aubry aside without you two knowing âmarriedâ he pointed at you, he then pointed to Lance. âhusbandâ
He didn't know why it hurt so much, especially do to the fact you guys just met, but there was something about you and he couldn't get you out of his head. He really tried to let it go but failed, he had a crush on a married woman.
âdon't worryâ Seeley said, patting his back. âyou'll get over it like the rest of themâ meaning everyone has had a crush on you at least once.
To make matters worse he was there to witness your husband getting gun down. He felt tears run down his cheek as he watched you hold Lance lifeless body and sob.
âplease don't leave meâ you cried and rested your forehead on his. âI love you so muchâ Lance said softly
James didn't know what to do, he wanted to help some how but he only stood there in shock.
Seeley tried to separate you and Lance but you weren't having it. âhe's not dying! Please Temperance help meâ you cried.
Temperance was trying to hold it together herself. She held back her tears and looked at her husband then back at you. âhoney... He's goneâ
Seeley made his final good by in privet. âI'll make sure they're alright... Y/n and Charlotte both, I promise to protect themâ
And just like that the love of your life was gone, it left a huge whole in your heart and all you wanted to do was avenge Lance.
What hurt you most was telling your daughter Charlotte that her daddy was gone, and on top of that your son hadn't even been born yet.
You stayed strong for your daughter, she had yet to real learn about death. She would have with when her gold fish Gus died but Lance replaced it while she was at preschool. All she knew was her daddy was in Heaven now.
You couldn't sleep on Lance's side of the bed, work got harder, and you just started to drift through time. Your brother Jack got worried about you and asked you and your daughter to move in with him and Angela.
It was a nice change, you got to be with your big brother, who you saw as your hero and Charlotte had the opportunity to grow up with her cousin Michael-Vincent.
A couple months went by and you started to feel better, you knew Lance wouldn't want you to be in so much pain so you tried to just live every day in his name.
Suprisenly James became a good friend to you, for awhile he forgot about his crush on you and just wanted to be there for you and your Daughter.
He made you laugh, the first time you really laughed since Lance passed away was when you went on a case with Seeley and James. It was video game company and James stoped to take a goofy selfie with a bigfoot. Seeley would have told him to knock it off, but it was the first time he heard you laugh in a while and he didn't want to take that away from you.
The more you hung out the more he fell for you and it scared the hell out of him... The both of you. At the time you didn't want another relationship, Lance was the love of your life and you always thought you only get one. You were scared you were giving off the wrong signals to him. Your kindness has been mistaken for flirting before.
Two years passed and your friendship with James only grew stronger. He was their when your son Seeley Lance Sweets was born. He was in the waiting room while your brother and Angela was there comforting you.
James got to be one of the first few to hold little Seeley and was aw struck. Once he saw that little boy he made a promised that he'd protect him and his sister from now on.
People noticed how differently James would treat you. He was naturally a kind man, but with you he treated you like a queen and was always there to protect you if you were out of the lab helping with a case.
He treated your kids like his own, he knew he'd could never replace Lance and he wasn't trying to, but if he need to babyset he would, if they want him read them a story he'll go all out and make difference voices for the characters. He loves your son and daughter.
Then there was the whole sharing food. People knew not to get in between James and his food. Your friends suspected his feelings when they cought you two sharing a plate of fries at the Diner. âthat's differentâ Seeley said.
Hodgins, who just happened to be with him shared a worried look. âyou don't think... He would be trying to get close right? She just lost Sweetsâ
The two didn't try to over think it, Jack knew your stance on a new relationship. He didn't want you to be in anymore pain but he couldn't help question James reasoning, it had only been two years since Lance left.
When the bottled up feelings became too much for James he went to Booth for advice. He was pacing back and forth while also rambling, Seeley tried to keep up as he watched him pace back and forth infront of his desk.
Then it finally clicked. âWait! Your in love with her!? And she's into you, are you sure?â
âI can't help it.. I would never push her into anything but i cant-â he started but Booth cut him off.
âNo, no, no. It's just that Lance was, Lance was perfect for her. I mean, that girl's heart beat for Lance Sweets. It just, it never occurred to me that she would ever be with anyone else.â
James knew how special your relationship with Lance was to you and he respected it. If you two were ment to be he would never be jealous or mad that you'll always love Lance.
But he is human, he would feel a pit in his stomach at the thought his first with you will always be your second with him. You experienced everything that was involved with a relationship with Lance first. Sex, cuddling, having a kid, everything.
Your first reaction to your feelings for him was absolute panic and remorse. You felt you were cheating on Lance or betraying him for having feelings for another. It ate at your already broken heart and you kept it bottled up.
It would go like this, you'd sneek a glance at James, admiring his beautiful eyes and his cute little smile. Then you'd immediately start feeling bad.
Jack caught on, he knew you like the back of his hand and loved you with every fiber of his soul. One day your big brother took you to the side and asked you if you're okay. You broke down in tears and told him how awful you felt.
âbuddy, your not cheating on Lanceâ he said softly. âhe would want you to be happy... You lost Lance at such a young age and now Your experiencing something most people wouldn't after losing a spouse, your getting another chanceâ
You looked at him with tears in your eyes. âwhat if I lose him too? And I can't expect him to take care of me and my kids? My son didn't even meet Lanceâ
That became another fear, you were so afraid of losing him too, what if James dies on you too?
âI think you two should have a long serious talkâ your brother said.
You took your brother's advance and talked to James, you talked for hours and brought of everything that was on your minds.
âjust promise me you will never die on meâ you said with tears in your eyes. âI promiseâ James nodded and slowly leaned in, you mentally panicked and moved you face so his lips landed on your cheek.
âI'm sorry.. I-â he quickly said. You looked at him saddly and pecked his cheek. âI'm just not ready for all that yetâ
He nodded âwhen ever you are... We'll take things slow there's no rush, just know I'll always be there for you and your kidsâ
It's been a while since you felt so much love and it scared you, you knew you could trust him but there was still fear of losing him if you got too close.
Even if you took things slow you both loved every moment. It was the little things that mattered most, you'd go to New restaurants, watch movies, go to your kids school functions.
James didn't miss a single thing involving your kids, if your daughter had some kinda concert with her class he'd be recording the whole thing. He even got to witness your Son's first steps.
Seeley Lance or LJ has know James all his life so it wasn't a surprise he called James dad, you told him stories of his father, but he couldn't help but see James as father. Charlotte calls him Jamie, she looks up to him and all but in her mind, her daddy is in heaven.
They do have a strong bond though, the little girl loves to be a round him and feels safe with him.
they probably watched every thing episode of Bluey together.
Speaking of which, James did get you and your kids a puppy, a Beagle puppy that your daughter named Bluey.
The first time you ever said I love you was about a year into your relationship, unfortunately it was after a life threatening experience. You went on a case with Booth and you ended up being in a coma for about a week.
You thought you were dying, and this sad thing is you accepted it. While you were under you could have sworn you talked to Lance, you didn't know if it was hallucination or a ghost.
You ran to him and hugged him tight as tears filled both of your eyes. He was so happy and sad to see you, it just wasn't your time.
âour kids need you.. They can't lose both of their parentsâ
You held his face in your hands and kissed his lips saddly. âyou didn't even get to meet your son... He's so much like youâ
He smiled. âI know... And couldn't be more prouder of him and Charlotte both, but I know you three are being tooken care ofâ
Once again you felt a pit in your stomach when you thought about James, you will never be ashamed of falling in love with him. James put your piece back together and helped you heal, but Lance will alway be your first love.
âdon't you ever feel bad for falling on love again... You remember the pain you felt when I died?â Lance asked softly, you nodded sadly. âAubry is feeling that right now, he's so scared of losing youâ
You knew he was right, but you still shook your head and cried... All you wanted to do was stay with him forever.
He smiled softly and whipped your tears away. You said 'I love you' one last time before you started to blink back to reality. You took deep breath and looked around the hospital room. Your brother Jack was fast asleep on a couch in the room, Charlotte and Seeley was piled up with him asleep as well.
James was fast asleep next you, he had a chair pulled up to your bed with his head in your lap and his hand holding your. You took your free hand and ran your fingers through his hair softly.
He jolted awake in a panic, he left out a sigh of relief when he saw you smiling softly at him. âyour awakeâ he said with tears pricking his sleep-deprived eyes.
He leaned over and wrapped his arms around you. âI thought I lost youâ you placed your hand on his jaw and pulled him towrds you kissing his lips passionately, it was so soft but held so much emotion. âI love you... So much Jamesâ
He smiled, you didn't know how long he's been waiting to hear thoughs words. He smiled from ear to ear and kissed you again. âI love you tooâ
You only pulled away when you hear your kid chearing your name. âmama!â they jumped from Jack's lap and ran to you, giving you a big hug.
You finally had peace and felt you could move on, your life was better knowing Lance and you are better person because of him. Now it's time to start over with a man you knew loved you just as much as Lance did.
