   Did he hear her right? Why would he do that? Why would she want him to do that? It was a weird request.

“SPACOS! Spaghetti…tacos. Alright, look, I’ve been running double shifts and haven’t had time to run to the grocery store. This is what happens when I get a little liberal with the leftovers.”

   Jim gave a dumbfounded look for a moment while his brain processed what she just said. How... How did she even make that mix-up? He shook his head and sighed. 

   Jim stood, looking over Arcadia Oaks from his position atop a hill. It was a beautiful place this time of night. All of the streetlights were on, but there was a stillness. Few people out at this hour meant he could walk around a bit, which he would argue was to keep an eye on and protect the people of Arcadia, but... It was nostalgia that ushered him to walk the streets. Even if that meant keeping to the sidewalks and ducking out of view if needed.

   He missed his old life...

   He hadn’t had much time to churn that though, however. The scent of goblins was so thick it struck him as he walked into its path. With a wave of his hand-- as if it would help any-- and a scrunched nose, he turned to where the stench was coming from.

   There was a lady walking, seemingly totally oblivious to the danger following behind her. He couldn’t risk being seen... But he couldn’t risk letting someone die, either. So he jumped to action.
