Everything & Nothing

“Love always wins, just like Katie Ledecky.” I really want to believe that this statement is true, but with so many negative, divisive messages being spread through the national and international media lately, it seems like a nearly impossible goal. One thing is certain, though: if we want to win like Ledecky, we’ve got to work hard like Ledecky. So let’s take an active role in promoting peace, justice, and empathy. Let’s fight bigotry and ignorance with education and patience. Let’s respect one another’s opinions, but refuse to allow hateful opinions to become institutionalized. We still have a lot of laps to go, but I think our love for our country, our planet, and humanity will help us go the distance.
