Of birds and bees

Wanted to make a long post about it when I first saw those photos... Great he apologised, but I so wish they would know better... Celebrities - footballers or anyone else - taking such pictures normalises what is happening there in lay public’s eyes and makes the already very hard work of nature conservationists even harder. Mario was also there, and as much as I like him, I wish GRASP had called him out as well. Hoping for some kind of a reaction from him too. 

For americans wondering, the government instituted a 5p Bag Tax to discourage plastic waste (though they didn’t introduce it into England because they kicked up too much fuss I guess). And Scottish university is and remains subsidised to be free for your first degree, which is all anyone usually gets, if you’re a Scot or a member of another European nation. So it really does come out as… Plastic Shopping Bag: 5p 4 Years Tuition: 0p
