Diary Entry #1

What a year it’s been so far!!!! I got married (WOAH), wrote a million new songs (ok, I’m exaggerating, but you get the point), and we officially finished the album (eek!!) So this chapter is coming to a close and a new one is beginning....
CHANGE is such a weird, exciting and beautiful thing, all at once. We’ve all experienced it in different ways...whether it was moving to a new city, transferring schools, starting to date someone, getting married, moving out, etc. Change can be really scary!!! And I know a lot of you are going through change right now too, so please know that what you’re feeling is totally normal and ok!!! It’s ok to question the process and feel uncomfortable, I mean, who doesn’t?!
Personally, this season of transition feels like such an exciting thing. So I’m ready to be moving onto the next chapter - aka releasing this body of work (YES A FULL ALBUM :) ) and getting to play it for you live on tour (stay tuned for this v soon). So I’m EXCITED about all of this and so so grateful but even then, sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me and it all can start to feel overwhelming and scary.
So yeah, it’s tough to adjust and be ok with change but I’m also finding that the discomfort is so worth it in the end. That’s the beautiful thing about life...getting to grow, learn and change with it ️ So much love for you all, Sydney
