KUR is a contemporary womenswear brand that incorporates Sri Lankan Dutch lace into a contemporary fashion collection.
For Fall 2016, BCBG MAX AZRIA focused on sustainable fashion, with Lubov Azria using eco-friendly, biodegradable fabrics in BCBG Max Azria’s playfully bohemian collection inspired by David Bowie. “We are commited to going as green as we can- it’s a prelude- it’s giving back, I want the future of our children to be green” said Lubov Azria. Starting 2017, BCBG is committing to have 70% to 75% recycled fabrics, following the inertia of Patagonia and other companies with sustainable policies. The company wanted to work with sustainable materials 10 years ago,but at the time the cost was too high. BCBG is demonstrating that sustainable fashion can be modern, beautiful, edgy and fashionable. Wear the change™!
Ryan Roche presented an elegant Fall 2016 collection, full of soft fluid shapes in hues of white, blush, ivory, red, and black. The collection focused mainly on long dresses that at times were paired with oversized sweaters, a shaggy or cozy coat, a dramatic shawl, or oversized cardigan. The standout pieces were two crocheted gowns, one red with a fringed yoke, the other sleeveless in blush. Roche is a master at knitwear, and this collection shows how far it can be taken. Wear the change™!
