As some of you may know, the month of May is Mental Health Awareness month. I had to do this because sometimes we need a reminder for small things like this. Cannot stop thinking about how tough this time might be for people who were already struggling. This pandemic has given each one of us an insight into what it's like to live with anxiety and mood swings. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, I really hope we get through this very soon. We lost another gem today. In the course of two days, we have lost two iconic actors who were amazing people. Its so saddening to even think about it. Death is so sudden and tragic. Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan were legendary actors! 2020 is really the worst year ever, taking away amazing people from us. It’s okay to not be productive constantly. Don’t feel like you have to use your self-isolation/quarantine time in a “productive”way. It’s okay to be stressed. You don’t need to write a book, learn a language, or get ahead on any of your “only if I had time” goals. You are not a failure for not accomplishing everything at once. So if you’re being lazy on some days and feeling bad about it, you don't need to feel that way. Take the time you need, eat, shower and take care of yourself and get back in the game as soon as you can. A tip for everyone who’s currently quarantined : indulge in self care. Try to do your daily routine like usual, don’t stay in your pajamas all day, wear something extra comfy. The thing is, it’s easy to spiral into depression when you’re stuck at home and start neglecting yourself. Also, indulge into your favorite comfort food recipes, use this time to learn new things.
