lips are pressed into a grimace as she works,  needle held gingerly. ‘  i don’t know why you couldn’t find someone else to do this.  ’  

     ‘  yo,  DC  --  ’  oh,  awkward.  she’d barged into coulson’s office only to find that he wasn’t there,  but someone else was.  ‘  you definitely aren’t coulson.  ’

she weaves her way through the crowd,  screams and sounds of panic filling her ears.  this was supposed to be daisy’s weekend off,  two days for herself,  forty-eight hours that she could relax.  universe,  however,  seems determined not to let her rest.  her feet carry her further and further into the mass of people before she breaks through.  smoke fills her lungs,  the air thick and hot.  through the sounds of breaking glass and metal grinding against metal she hears it:  a whimper.
