i have. i loved sam and the terrible way she wore those hats without irony. i guess at least she taught me a lesson, next time i love someone i’m going to tell them right away. before a psycho killer gets them. or they kill themselves.

sixth grade. it sucked like all sixth grade dates.

my dad’s friend i guess. he killed himself with a golf cart. tragic.

i don’t know. the first i remember was when i was eighteen. my dad’s co-worker. didn’t end up well. he was really hot in a thirty-years-older-than-me way.

she shrugged. chanel #3 wasn’t quite wrong, she hadn’t gotten out much at home. “the people back home weren’t that fun to hang out with.” that was better than saying they were all awful to her. “oh um, alright. you might have to help me a little with the outfit, but it sounds exciting.” it could be the first time she enjoyed a social event in a little while. “that’s nice. i’m much more of a grape person myself, but i can buy you some raspberries as well if you’d like. it would be a good way to thank you for helping me find the grocery store.”

“ Sounds fun, I could use some excitement. This place is much too drab and boring, I’m Heather.” She replied, because it was true. There really was nothing to do here, and it wasn’t like she had any money to go shopping or anything. Besides, maybe there would be hot guys there.

“that’s probably not good for the environment, but i suppose a bonfire is typically fun. i mean, i’ve only been to like one, but they do tend to be pretty.”  she didn’t quite understand the other girl, but she wasn’t necessarily mean. “oh you uh, wanna come look with me? that would be really nice. her name is alice. i usually feed her lettuce, but i was thinking i’d also get her raspberries as a treat.”

“Wait, who is Chanel? Unless you’re inviting people to a seance or something.”

“Oh goodie, a female JD. “Said Heather with a roll of her eyes, as she looked at the girl. The first thing she noticed were the really tacky earmuffs, another thing she noticed was the way she carried herself. It was the same way she, Chandler and Mcnamara carried themselves, like they were the queens of the school. Like they were untouchable. 

“ Alright then, I’ll bite. What fun do have planned?”

“Huh. That actually almost makes sense.” He said, though he thought maybe she herself was a little crazy. But New York wasn’t exactly known for its normal characters. He was sure if he told a human girl like her what his situation was he would pro ably sound crazy too. “Got a name or shall I call you Muffy?”

              ‘ we should text her? is that your suggestion, NUMBER THREE? ’   it was always easiest to talk to number three. she didn’t get irrationally upset like number five did, nor did she get angry  and   flustered like these morons in new york tend to.   ‘ does it look like i share a brain with lloyd christmas? do you HONESTLY think i didn’t try that already? her phone probably crashed from all of the DORA THE EXPLORER porn she tried to download. ’   then there was a stomp with her feet, timbre moving into more of a whine.   ‘ god, NUMBER THREE!! the least you could do is actually help. ’

“I don’t think so. Not really one for parties.” Jace said as he scrutinized her earmuffs yet again. “Were you like born without wars and are covering them up?” he asked unable to get past this supposed ‘dark’ secret.

“uh yes.” kate couldn’t help the small smile that grew on her face. “that would be great actually. i’d really appreciate anything you’re willing to donate, shoes especially now that the weather is getting cold.” kate would have bought things like that herself but despite her love for charity she didn’t quite have the money for things like that. “chanel #3 okay.” it was weird, but she wouldn’t ask. “i’m kate.”
