I found the amount of anatomy-centric placards a bit depressing

I have, though, done something good and that feels meaningful. Today I finished a 3-day First-Aid course with the British Red Cross which means I'll be a qualified first-aider able to provide immediate care for casualties and basically keep them alive until emergency services arrive. It's pretty neat.

Part of the reason I don't come on tumblr anymore is because it reminds me of everything shit in the world and also how shit my brain is Like at least in the real world there are lots of distractions and I can pretend for most hours in the day that the world isn't a complete mess and I can function and go to work and then sleep
