One Punch Sunkus
The Sunkus convenient store in Japan reminds me of One Punch Man, so I decided to change it to him.Â
The Pale Man
I'll leave this as done so I can move on. Learning new skills that I'm not supposed to. Inspired by a panel from Batman: Cataclysm. I think I like the greeny monochrome.

A bunch of photos from Hokkaido trip:
- street in Sapporo
- Nikka whisky
- Sushi musical box
-Ramen
- Ishiya Shiroi Koibito factory
Some of the photos I liked from our Hokkaido trip. Gotta get back there again. Perfect weather except for the rain.
Mt. Yotei: Hokkaido’s Mt. Fuji
Photos of Mt. Yotei while on our way to Lake Toya. Other photos were taken en route. Ahhh I still remember that refreshing cold air.
Lake Toya, Hokkaido
A private, solitary escape to Lake Toya. The hotel was excellent considering the view and food against the price. 1 night’s more or less enough (was that redundant..?) The room had a glass overlooking Mt. Yotei and the lake. But the must-try is the rotenburo (outdoor bath) and I would suggest to go at the wee hours of morning or sunset (the latter, I didn’t try) for a great experience. I tried going on the night, then on the next morning to find out which felt better since this is probably a rare opportunity. Highly recommendable and I wish I could go back.
Nikka Whisky Factory, Otaru, Hokkaido
If you’re into alcoholic drinks, they have a beer-teria (a la cafeteria..) where they sell shots of their own brewed beer.Â

Sakaimachi Street, Otaru, Hokkaido
We found this Instagrammable rainbow soft serve Hokkaido ice cream which had 7 flavors: grape, powdered green tea, strawberry, melon, milk, lavender, chocolate (top to bottom).
With only a decent amount of tourists, Sakaimachi street wasn’t so bad; it was a nice walk passing by a variety of French sweets made by Japanese people.Â
At one end of the road is the Music Box Museum that's populated with thousands of music boxes. It was more of a gift shop than a museum per se.
Fresh seafood in Otaru! I don't know if you can wrong with the seafood places here. We ate in a seemingly ordinary one, but, even though I’m not an uni (sea urchin) fan, that was darn good. Excellent seafood here.
Sounkyo, Hokkaido
The little quiet town of Sounkyo is surrounded by high forested cliffs and has a river gorge passing through the town. It’s most popular for its onsen and I’d recommend the rotenburo (outdoor bath); you wrapped in breezy cold air and hot water. We did a bit of a jog at night and ended up buying ice bars in the convenient store. Oh well.
Tomita Lavender Farm, Furano, Hokkaido
All those lavenders! It actually had all colored plants, but they’re known for the lavender fields. The place smelled really fragrant. It’s unfortunate that it was rainy and the lavenders weren't in full bloom. Capping the destination with a lavender soft serve Hokkaido ice cream. I literally could taste the aroma.

Island life. (Photo from Trishia Lim)
Bucas Grande, Surigao del Norte, Philippines
It felt like you’re in the Jurassic Age. Clean blue & green waters, plenty of flora, isolated.
One area had a jellyfish lake where none of them stings. It was off-season when we were there.
Apart from these photos, I couldn’t get any pictures in the Luminous Cave. There, the sunlight lights up the water in the closed cave to illuminate the water. It’s like Life of Pi!
We got to Bucas Grande via boat ride from Siargao that took around 3 hours.
