Don Henley made a surprise appearance (well, maybe not really since Irving Azoff owns Pollstar) at the Pollstar Awards last night in Los Angeles. Don accepted the Milestone Award for the Eagles . “I appreciate this very much,” Henley said. “We are three shows into our 51st year as a band and touring entity — and feeling every one of them. Thanks FB memories for this….10 years ago we were in Park City, Utah, at the Sundance Film Festival. We managed to be in the right place at the right time and got to attend the band’s afternoon press event for the History of the Eagles documentary….kind of surreal making small talk with the head of Showtime while waiting for the band to arrive. Later we attended the premiere of the documentary. By luck we sat only a couple of rows behind the band. Glenn talked a lot during the film!
