Ubisoft Conference
First off, Congratulations to Ubisoft on their 25th Anniversary! :] For this post, I'm only going to talk about the highlights of this conference. If you want to see it in its entirety, head over to gametrailers.com for more videos.
Rayman: Origins
Still very much in development, so I don't have much to say about this game. Up to 4 player Co-Op platformer. Looks promising :]
No release date, more info to come.
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Rayman Origins - E3 2011: Gameplay Demo (Stream), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Driver: San Francisco
With talk of an "endless number of missions" and the "most groundbreaking multiplayer of any driving game", this new title in the Driver franchise is sure to be fun. Possible Need for Speed competitor? :O We'll see!
No release date, more info to come.
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Driver: San Francisco - E3 2011: The Chase Trailer (Stream), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Far Cry 3
Definitely the highlight of the conference for me. The gameplay debut was incredibly suspenseful. I had no idea what game they were showing me, but my eyes were glued. Any game that has me on the edge of my seat while treading through a lush jungle in the middle of the day is a definite winner. Although I've never played any of the Far Cry games, I'm pretty excited for this one. This video is a must-see! :]
Release date: 2012
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Far Cry 3 - E3 2011: Debut Gameplay (Stream), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Brothers in Arms: The Furious 4
A "new take on WWII shooters". Its already been said, but this looks basically like and Inglorious Bastards game. Which I don't really see a problem with :D The character design and art style resembles that of Team Fortress 2, which is another plus. The trailer was short and action packed, so we can only hope to see more soon.
Release date: 2012
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Brothers In Arms: Furious 4 - E3 2011: Debut Trailer (Stream), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Although this wasn't the highlight of the show for me, I'm still supah excited :D This demonstration was more for the general gameplay, rather than the fancy Kinect controls.
4 player Co-Op. The game will be Kinect supported, but players will still be able to play with a controller.
Lots of futuristic equipment (of course)! Cloaking devices, xray vision, lots of good stuff! The video should show off a could bit of it. :]
In this game, teamwork will be essential to gameplay when executing things such as synchronized kills and covering teammates while the lead hostages to safety. They've also produced the most refined cover system in the Ghost Recon franchise to date.
No release date, more info to come.
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier - E3 2011: Village Co-Op Gameplay Demo (Stream), PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Ghost Recon: Online
Free online shooter for PC. Yep, free. THISISSOEXCITING<3 This game is set to compliement Future Soldier. Players will be able to carry achievements from one game to the other. Besides that, not much info on this game yet. :]
Also, you can apply for the beta right now! I'll see my PC can handle it and hopefully get a review for you guys. :]
No release date, more info to come.
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Ghost Recon Online - Debut Trailer, PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Ezio's last game in the franchise, and its looking to be a good one. An aged Ezio still whooping ass? Hell yeah.
Gameplay looks familiar, I'm still unsure how many changes have been made. I saw some fancy new combat moves as well as a new targeting system implemented while using smoke shields. Ezio may be old, but he's definitely going out with a bang. Btw, flame turrets. See trailer.
This game will be essential to understanding the past and the future of the AC saga.
The trailer ended with a mysterious doorway?? More info to come, I suppose!
Release date: November 2011
Tags: GameTrailers.com, Assassin's Creed: Revelations - E3 2011: Developer Walkthrough, PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Well, that's it for the Ubisoft conference! I know its taking foreverrr for me to post these, but I've got two left: Sony and Nintendo. I need to get my ass into gear and become a posting machine x.x Anyway, enjoy! :]

SLICEY! SLICEY! (Ninja Gaiden 3 impressions)
During the last day of E3 I took a little time to go check out Tecmo Koei's booth, much to my surprise that had a demo setup for Ninja Gaiden 3.The demo starts up with a beautiful cutscene explaining a bit of the game's backstory (I admittedly skipped this though because I didn't have much time and lots of ground to cover at the convention). After the cutscene ends we see Ryu perched atop a city roof overlooking a rainslicked street at night time, there are several military baddies to awaiting him in the streets below. Seconds later, the player is shown a prompt to enter some button presses which cause our ninja to leap from the roof in a style akin to Assassin's Creed, only cooler, much cooler. Once on the ground combat ensues in the traditional Ninja Gaiden fashion, with Ryu hacking away at his enemies swiftly and fluidly as they spill their crimson discharge to the street. Every so often Ryu is allowed to use his demon arm to unleash a flurry of supercharged attacks that often times devestate smaller enemies and assist in chipping away at the health of much larger foes. One thing that I couldnt help but notice this time around was the inclusion of QTE's (quick time events) in this entry to the series, one such event had the player alternating between button presses to the triggers for Ryu to scale a wall with his swords, one misspress would result in Ryu sliding (in most cases) all the way back to the bottom of the wall. Also, new to the series are stealth segments, the one I played in the demo wasn't too long but I can already see a bit of room for improvement in its mechanics (most noteably the speed Ryu moves) but nothing that made it too frustrating or difficult (it was basically a tutorial after all). The demo ends with a small boss fight against a mechaspider thing that kinda resembled a giant Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell. If team Ninja keeps this up (while sanding away some of the rougher spots of the game) Ninja Gaiden 3 will become a must-play title for fans of hardcore, skill based action games.

EA Conference
EA brought some pretty exciting titles to the table this year: a new spin on the traditional racing game, as well a potential competitor against the Call of Duty franchise, just to name a couple.
Mass Effect 3
The last game in the Mass Effect trilogy opened the EA Conference with a gorgeous cinematic trailer, followed by a live gameplay demonstration.
Right off the bat, it was clear BioWare spruced up the gameplay, providing more mobility and speed during combat and normal gameplay. Shepard is more agile this time around. Now with melee capability as well. This spike-tipped, orange-glowing, arm-blade is Shepard's new biotic ability. So. Cool.
Larger scale battles. I mean, fucking huge. See trailers. :]
Those that haven't played the previous games will be able, if not encourage by the creators, to pick up the story now "in the midst of everything; the climax of the Mass Effect trilogy and this enormous intergalactic battle".
Release date: March 6 2012
Need For Speed: The Run
In a high speed, cross-country race, this action-racing game is set to incorporate out-of-the-car gameplay for the first time in the Need For Speed franchise. During the live demo, they previewed both gameplays, although the outside portions seemed to only revolve around QT events. Hopefully there'll be more to this aspect of the game.
With AutoLog, players' online scores, now including campaign scores, will be recorded and posted to the game's leader boards.
Gorgeous. Graphics.
Also, PS3 will be receiving a number of exclusive cars, one being the Bucati Veyron.
No release date, more info to come.
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Not much of an update from what was previewed at last year's E3. No gameplay demo, just a trailer. I'm not sure if it was purely cinematic or if it included gameplay, but much of what I saw was shown last year. :/
No release date, more info to come.
SSX
"Race It, Trick It, Survive It." Although still very much in development, SSX is making a comeback, looking to create a "burnout on the snow".
EA pressed that players will be able to visit "every major mountain range on the planet, gauranteed." To make this possible, all tracks have been modeled using "topography data compiled by NASA and processed by the developers' own Mountain Man tool." A few tracks have been tweaked with added ramps and slopes for the enjoyment of the players, but EA aims to keep the realism of the locations as much as possible.
Release date: January 2012
FIFA 12
Kinect supported, FIFA 12 is set to be the most realistic and accurate game in the FIFA franchise. With added enhancements to the AI such as new tactical defending and positioning, as well as precision dribbling, EA hopes to create the most realistic gaming experience the FIFA franchise has ever offered to date. With the Player Impact Engine, in-game injuries will effect the player's performance, as injuries do in the real world of FIFA.
Upon release, the EA Sports Football Club will launch, creating a live online service for players. Sort of like social networking for FIFA. Players will be able to show off their scores locally and globally, all that good stuff. EA also plans to incorporate challenges and story-lines from the real world of Football. What that actually means, I have no idea. I'll try to post a video that hopefully elaborates on this. :]
As for the online multiplayer, Xbox Live players will be able to play matches up to 11 vs 11 in size.
No release date, more info to come.
Madden 12
Similar to Football Club, Madden 12 will also feature an online service. I'm not sure yet if it'll share FIFA's or have its own.
The game's physics engine has been tuned, improving and heightening the gameplay's realism, as well as adding dynamic player performance. Say you're not playing your best game. Your player starts to become a little worried that his team might not win. Now his lowered confidence begins to affect his performance. Likewise, doing well will affect your character's performance positively. Pretty cool additions, I'd definitely like to see how dramatically players' performances change. :]
Release date: August 30, 2011
The Sims Social
The Sims and your Facebook. I really didn't take notes on this one because the of the trailer, which I'll definitely try to post. This Facebook crossover looks like a lottt of fun, although I'm not a fan of Facebook games. The Farmville Epidemic definitely killed them for me. Regardless, this game looks promising. :]
No release date, more info to come.
Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning
Not much info on this game, I'm pretty sure they only previewed a cinematic trailer. If not, I'm not sure why my notes are pretty much empty for this section o.0 But it was a good trailer! Intriguing enough, nice graphics. :]
No release date, more info to come.
Overstrike
First off, THE GRAPHICS <3 The art style reminds me of Team Fortress 2, which is a huge plus. And the background music for the trailer? Tick Tick Tick Boom by The Hives. Fuck yeah. I'll definitely post a trailer for this one. :]
This 4 player Co-Op will take place in a Sci-Fi universe, with a cast of gadget-wielding espionage badasses, with some interesting looking artillery to boot. Utilizing class-specific gameplay, this game will be heavily dependent on teamwork.
Will be available for PS3 and Xbox
No release date, more info to come.
Battlefield 3
Now, I'm a COD girl, myself (MW2, to be exact <3), but the ten minute PC gameplay demo for this almost stole me away before it was even over. The graphics are, at the very least, fucking gorgeous. My notes on this read: "Graphics: Amazing. . . .SO. AMAZING. . .OMFG" Just wait 'til I post the trailer! :DD
The demo previewed the realistic vehicular combat in which players get to control this beastly military tank.
Battlefield 3 will have a cross platform release, including PC, PS3, and Xbox.
Also, the online multiplayer will be free. They could not stress this enough. *Cough* LeaveInfinityWardAlone! *Cough*
You guys can sign up now for the open beta testing which will be launching on September 11.
Release date: October 25
The highlights of this conference, for me, had to be Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3. Although I'm still in the process of finishing (restarting because I fucked myself over -___-) the first Mass Effect, it was nice to see the much-needed and appreciated updates to the gameplay. I'm sure dedicated fans and new comers to the series will enjoy ME3 :]
As far as Battlefield 3 goes, this is a toughy. MW2 is my crack, and now Battlefield 3 is trying to inch its way into my heart. And with a release date before MW3?! You're killing me, EA! >:[ I'll probably end up getting both, to be honest. The idea of a more strategic and objective-based online multiplayer sounds fun for a change.
Hope you guys enjoyed this! Look for my EA Conference Video post either later tonight, or sometime tomorrow. :]

Microsoft Conference
Day 1 of E3 2011! I don't want to spoil things for anyone and to be honest, these trailers and gameplay demos should be viewed for yourself. BUT! I'll be posting information released about each of the games today. Anyway, here you go :]
Modern Warfare 3:
Kicking off E3, Microsoft revealed a 10 minute gameplay demo, which was fucking EPIC. Breaching a fucking submarine. That's all that really needs to be said.
MW3's campaign takes place directly after the ending of the MW2 campaign, with 15 destinations throughout.
Its been confirmed that they'll be including grenade launchers, predator missiles, and the AC-130.
Along with updated guns, (M16, SCAR - H, P90, AK-47 to name a few), they've added hybrid weapon sights. From what I saw in the trailers, your weapons would have their main scopes, as well as an added scope, which can be toggled during gameplay.
Microsoft also premiered "Black Sunday", another trailer with more gameplay! Pretty impressive, see for yourself. :]
MW3's online may have a subscription fee, I haven't looked into this yet. From what I've heard, the paid subscription will allow players to download new content, updated weekly and possibly monthly challenges, etc. This wasn't addressed during the conference, though, so I'm not too sure yet.
Xbox users will be the first to receive all updates and new content.
Release date: November 8, 2011
Tomb Raider:
Aimed to be the origin story of Lara Croft, the game takes place before Lara became The Tomb Raider. The gameplay preview showed Lara awaking, tied up and hanging from the ceiling of a cave. The main focus of the demonstration wasto showcase the dependence on Lara's survival intuition.
Said to incorporate more Open - World gameplay than previous Tomb Raider installments.
Release date: 2012
Mass Effect 3:
I'll talk about this beauty in my EA Conference post. :]
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier:
I'll write more about this game in my Ubisoft Conference post, but the demonstration Microsoft displayed was pretty cool :]
This demonstration was used to showcase Future Soldier's use of the Kinect. From combat to gun customization, Future Soldier uses Kinect, from what was shown, innovatively and rather smoothly, thus far. What I thought was supah cool was the gun customization. From attachments, to scopes, to the detailed inner workings of each gun, everything customizable. Using voice commands and gestures, Kinect makes scrolling through the lists of parts as well as switching and changing them simple. Future Soldier also incorporate Kinect into combat gameplay with specific gestures and commands.
Xbox Live:
In the midst of all the game releases, Microsoft annouced a major update for the Xbox Live community, including new media features and channels, voice command system, and a redesigned Dashboard.
Launching in the Fall, Xbox Live will receive a revamping for a sleeker look and feel. Its been confirmed that YouTube and Bing will also be added to the XBL's features.
With the combined use of voice commands and Bing, users will be able to search for anything from videos to music and the like quickly and easily. It was also mentioned that Xbox TV will be launching, enabling users to search for different channels and televeision shows and have them streamed directly from their Xbox.
Release date: Fall 2011
UFC Ultimate Fighting Championship
Not much information on this game, as they only played a short trailer and spoke a bit about it.
Will include "Live Streaming" and rely heavily on competition between you and your friends and the leader boards.
No release date, more info to come.
Gears Of War 3
The live gameplay demonstration, with a special appearance from Ice T :P, only solidified what we all knew: HOW AWESOME. GEARS 3. WILL BE. Go watch the trailers. Just do it.
A new Horde Mode was also confirmed.
And a multiplayer campaign with up to 4 players.
Ryse
Only previewed a short trailer, this game still looks prettyyy sick.
Appeared to be an entirely Kinect - based game, in which you are a soldier during the battle ages of the Roman Empire. Brutal combat and much blood, you are in the center of war. Looks great, hope to see more. :]
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
As a 10 Year Anniversary celebration, they have remastered the first game in the Halo saga, releasing it with a fully remastered campaign, an online Co - Op mode, along with many familiar maps and arenas.
Players will also be allowed to switch between the original version and the remastered version. Just to show you how good of a job they did. :P
Release date: November 2011
Forza Motorsport 4
Right off the bat, incredibly realistic. Forza already impressed last year with the amazing detailing in the graphics of Forza 3, and they only got better this time around.
Announced players would also receive monthly expansions, not much detail on those.
Possibly something to do with Top Gear, as well? I saw the logo in the corner of one of the trailers xD They may be streaming episodes of Top Gear, or something like that.
Either way, looks great. I've been trying to find my dad a new racing game. :]
Release date: October 11, 2011
Fable: The Journey
An entirely Kinect-based game, this branch of Fable looks SO. AWESOME. Utilizing Kinect, players are able to cast different spells using specific gestures. During the live gameplay demo, they demonstrated the player creating an arrow by rolling his arms in a circle, and stretching the ball of magic into a long, spiked arrow, and then shooting it at an enemy, standing in his watch tower. The gameplay ran rather smooth and gestures were pretty simple.
Players will also use Kinect gestures to steer their horse and carvan in the driving portions of the game. The motions used in gameplay seem very natural, making them simple to do.
No release date, more info to come.
Minecraft
Another surprise! Minecraft is coming to Xbox.
No release date, more info to come.
Kinect
Along with the titles already announced that will be using Kinect, Microsoft releases more! Users who already have a Kinect or are still deciding whether to buy one or not, will be very pleased with the array of games being released within this next year. :]
Disneyland Adventures: Players get to explore the Happiest Place on Earth from the comfort of their homes any time they want, as well as enjoy mini games based on famous park rides and attractions with the whole family.
Star Wars: Not exactly the full-length Star Wars game we were hoping for, but a good attempt, from what we saw. The live gameplay demo looked a bit slow when reacting in real-time, but it is a start. Trailers look great, so hopefully this game progresses. :]
Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster: Cute family multiplayer, jump into storybook pages and play with your favorite Sesame characters.
FunLabs: Set to become a permanent Xbox Live feature, FunLabs will finally deliver Kinect's ability to capture and recognize real world details and images and input them into our games. The live demonstration showed even objects, such as a monster plushie, can be captured and enjoyed with the use of Kinect. The lady turned into the plushie. It was cool. :B FunLabs will also incorporate 3D image editing using Kinect gestures. Users will be able to upload all their images to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Kinect Sports Season 2: Another installment into the top selling Kinect Sports title to date. Skiing and tennis have been added, as well as new gameplay gestures and in-game voice commands (Football!).
Dance Central 2: More songs, more dance moves! Users songs from the first Dance Central will also be transferable to #2. Multiplayer was also announced and demonstrated. Said to include a larger song selection.
Other games to include Kinect: Madden, Tiger Woods, FIFA, Sims 3 Pets and Family Game Night 4 to name a few.
Halo 4
A huge surprise to those that didn't hear about the leak earlier that morning, but Halo 4 is coming soon and its set to open up a whole new trilogy in the Halo saga. Did I mention Master Chief is back? Watch the trailers. :]
Release date: Holiday 2012
Well that's my coverage notes for the Microsoft Conference! I'll post EA, Ubisoft and Sony either later tonight, or tomorrow :]
