Today at work the doctor asked a kid what he had for lunch and the kid said like, chicken nuggets or something idr

And so the doctor holds up his stethoscope and goes “okay I’m gonna listen to your tummy and see if I can hear those chicken nuggets in there! Do you think I can hear the chicken nuggets?”

And the kid suddenly looks terrified and goes “no! No! I don’t want you to listen to the chicken nuggets!!!”

And he only calmed down when the doctor said “it’s okay, I was just kidding, I can’t hear what you ate, I just have to listen to make sure everything is okay in your tummy” and then the kid was immediately like oh okay and he laid down very calmly

I have an assignment for a "600-700 word research paper" and it honestly doesn't compute to my brain. How can you even write a research paper in under 700 words. How is that even a paper. I've written longer work emails.

I emailed my professor this weekend because the quiz was marking me wrong for questions I was getting right per the textbook (and I sent her screenshots of the textbook vs my answer that was being marked wrong)

and then it turns out the quizzes were an old instructor’s based on a different textbook, so she changed it to use the quizzes from our textbook publisher

But on the new platform she forgot to disable the “check my answers” feature so every multiple choice question has a button that says “CHECK MY WORK” that you’re allowed to hit multiple times before submitting your answer and it tells you whether or not it’s right???

So lowkey I actually did really badly on my finals (except stats where I got 100%) and it didn’t matter because my grade was high enough that I still got As in every class, but I’m actually still disappointed

It is because I didn’t study much because I realized I didn’t need to in order to get A’s but it turns out that still feels kind of bad

I turned in my final for stats where I’ve gotten 100% on both exams and I said “I hope you won’t be too disappointed in me if I missed something on this” and he said “I use yours to check the answer key”

#spring ‘26 #lowkey he was not a good teacher but that class was stupid easy anyway #although I’m sure that’s because I have developed a decent ad hoc understanding of statistics from doing science for many years #despite having not formally taken a stats class before #I didn’t instantly understand everything (after the first unit) but I had enough practice thinking about stats #that it meant I only really had to do the assigned homework to have gotten enough practice to get all the exam questions right #given that we were allowed a 1-page reference sheet front and back which is way more than enough

About to go do badly on my anatomy test 🫡

I just have to hope other people also do badly again so I get a good grade because of the curve

thanks to my last minute cramming for this, my raw score was actually 86/100 meaning I only missed 7 questions! (which is half of how many I missed on the last exam, which I think I actually studied more for, go figure, so it must have been harder material) (and is 3 more than I missed on the first exam)

BUT there was indeed a 24 point curve (wild) making it my highest exam score so far lol

#spring ‘26 #pre-med #anatomy #grades #someone got a perfect score!#the highest scorer in the class on the first two exams missed 2 questions in each case (crazy work) and idk if it's the same person #but getting 100% in this class is actually wild #decent chance it is someone who's retaking it because people do that a lot #but still!#anyway I think I have to get like a 65% raw score on the final to get an A in the class since for some reason the final is uncurved #which is also weird to me? Why would you curve the exams and not the cumulative final? Shouldn't it be the other way around?#but for me it does not matter #probably
