When I met you I was so lost I didn’t know who I was anymore. I didn’t think I could go on with a heart so heavy and a soul so sore, but with your grace and that look on your face, you opened a door. Suddenly I was soaring through a world so beautiful I knew I could never leave. We’ve explored forests full of dangerous mystery and lain in meadows overflowing with sweet serenity. We’ve hiked to the top of volcanos and felt fire consume the deepest recesses of our bodies. We’ve travelled to Mercury shores getting sand in our shoes and embracing the Sun’s motherly love, a love that is so bright and so mighty. We swam the oceans of time and came back dripping with so many realities…. Sometimes I catch myself looking in the mirror and wondering why your soul isn’t there with me. As if I could reach in and grab you, from wherever you may be. I climbed immeasurable walls and ran to the edge of the world and back to get to where I am and I know you did too. I’ve seen stunning beauty and lived through terror enough times to come unglued. But I gotta say, you were right. I could never, ever, get enough of you.
