This won’t get much attention but I need to talk about it.

So I was thinking of doing a redrawing of some really old art, so I looked up the old account and noticed another link on google, which was of this website and I click on it and I see this;

While I personally am not that bothered of one of my 2013 drawings being on that website it is obvious that so many art pieces are just art theft.

So this is a warning for all artists to make sure their artwork isn’t on this site, and please spread the word!

I’ve said “I hate this” so many times on this website, and never actually meant it, because “I hate this” is just shorthand for ‘this is an example of a meme given a twist I wasn’t expecting with intent to surprise’. Which is, in of itself, a meme on this site. God damn it.

But this… This is something else.

The rapidity of a meme’s introduction to its zenith to its decline is so rapid that in ten years, you’ll need a damn twenty-page manual to explain this. It’ll be as unfunny and hard to explain as jokes in Shakespeare plays, except even more inexplicable because fuck, at least Shakespeare’s jokes are usually about anal or fucking your mother, good wholesome sex jokes we can all get behind.

For the love of fuck, how do you explain loss.jpg? How do you explain gun?

it is a YMCA reference - that’s one of the 6 memes being represented here

ok let me see if i can break this down easily. YMCA is the easiest place to start - the song itself has become a meme over time with people changing the lyrics to reference other pop cultural events. so YMCA is meme one (1)

this first lyric replacement (”take the breadsticks and run”) is a reference to the tumblr meme ‘stuffing breadsticks into my purse’. i think everyone remembers that one so i wont bother to explain it. that’s meme two (2)

“man door hand hook car door” is a meme of its own, a creepypasta from i dont remember when. it was a terrible stupid retelling of the generic ‘stuck in a car while hook handed man tries to kill us’ story so the stupid title caught on for memorability. that in and of itself is meme three (3)

‘gun’ is… yeah i dont know how to explain gun. long story short you add gun to the end of a phrase instead of what you expect the last word to be. its shock funny. its everywhere but its popular to add to “man door hand hook car door” for.. some reason? gun is meme four (4)

and the thing is, this four meme combo is something thats gone around before. meme combos are, itself, a meme. which means taking this meme combo and mixing in another meme actually becomes meme five (5)

which leaves us at loss.jpg. loss.jpg was a terrible bad comic supposed to be about some tragic event, but it was presented so poorly literally no one takes it seriously, and for some reason recreating the four-panel setup has become popular. so thats meme six (6)

(but i need to add that this is the greatest version of loss.jpg i think i’ve ever seen. the initial ‘young man’ lines up with the guy bursting through the door, and the shock meme ‘gun’ matches the shock scene of the woman in the hospital and idk if OP even thought about that but it makes this just so much better)

Doodles as a butler.

Okay so joking aside, I had a bunch of fun drawing this, Doodles can totally pull off the butler outfit. Though I feel like it’s giving a 10th Doctor Vibe. Now I’m curious how Doodles (Y/N from CSAA) became to be a butler and who she works for.

However, she does have the closest traits to being a butler/maid out of all my ocs, especially since she has patience, can work completely silent, and works and zones out so she can work for a long time, not to mention how... Tolerant she can be of people.

If anyone else wants to summit a number for the prompt along with which Oc, I’d be happy to draw it!

UPDATE: Chapter schedule

So I know that my update schedule is very... Sporadic and I really wanted to change that and now I’ve noted down my timetable so now I can figure out a good routine.

CSAA: Next update planned - 15th and bonus chapters might happen in the middle of the month if I manage to get one out. (Regular updates: 1st Saturday of the month)

Fangs and Bones: Next update planned - 31st October (Regular updates: 1st Sunday of the month)

Bitter Secrets: First release - 4th November (Regular updates: Every other month on a Sunday)

Paint the town red: First release - 15th December (1st Saturday of the month)

The instinctual Duo: Estimated: December (1st Friday of the month)

Murphy’s Law: TBA - Estimated April (Ever other month)

I hope this helped anyone that is curious and I am really looking forward to having a routine so it isn’t super sporadic as it has been. Honestly out of all of these the Humanswap universe is my favourite for what I’ve got planned.

Also for anyone that is interested in my stuff, let’s see if you can guess who’s souls are my profile picture. All I’ll say is that they are characters from either Fangs and Bones or Coffee, Skeletons, and an Artist.

So someone was more curious about how I pictured doodles, sorry the drawings are quite crude, not done figures or watercolour in a while.

Anyway while Doodles aka Y/n from Coffee Skeletons and an Artist is a more reader insert, this is how I kind of picture her. The other characters are more original characters and thus have more canon appearances but she is whoever you interpret her to be, like this is how I picture doodles.

(Basically long brunette with loose curly hair and pale skin. She wears casual yet stylish outfits as she likes to have a colour scheme that works for her entire outfit, if she has zipped hoodies she never zips it up and has a plain T-shirt underneath and a non-zip hoodie or turtleneck is when she is on a relaxing day)

If anyone wants an image of any other characters feel free to ask!

I regret calling her dusk since while she is as awkward as Dusk is sometimes, she definately is missing any of the dry humour or comments, like why is she just… not questioning the slight stalker behaviour since how could he find out about where she was going?

I’m not gonna lie kinda want to do a bonus of doodles playing this game when she is bored and just making her own comments… or just a moment where she just narrows her eyes at the screen before sighing and falling back on the bed.

“I guess that’s one thing in comment, right Gen? We both have no clue what the fuck is going on. Just you’re stuck in lies of romance, I just don’t have a clue about life… or friends I suppose.”

She continues playing the game and exposes one of the guys as being a liar, Generic Girl getting closer to finding ‘her true love’.
