this episode does not feature denny duquette, but the bar daniel and johnny are drinking in is the barrelhouse.
denny is standing amongst the committee (including his father) when they greet daniel arriving at the tournament. you know when a former character gets re-introduced and there's a montage of film flashbacks? this is that moment for denny! he steps forward to shake daniel's hand and re-introduce himself, and we see a collection of his (brief) moments from the karate kid. daniel comes back around to denny saying something along the lines of "cobra kai back in the valley, who would've thought it?", before he catches sight of eli arriving and excuses himself to wish his nephew good luck.
denny is seen standing with the committee, cheering for eli.
denny is seen looking concerned when eli is disqualified for illegal contact.

the cobras are actually hanging at the barrelhouse when miguel starts making his video for sam and hawk discovers demetri's review. they leave to go confront him at the mall (unbeknown to denny).
denny is present as a casual observer when daniel confronts johnny about the miyagi-do dojo being trashed. he notices hawk looking uncomfortable when the medals are mentioned, but doesn't mention it.
denny makes an appearance at a trashed miyagi-do dojo and offers help with the clean-up. it's the first time since appearing in the show that he's made a conscious effort to insert himself into 'karate matters'. there is a scene between him and daniel in which denny explains "i don't give a shit about rival dojos, or who pissed off who the most 30-something years ago in highschool. different me, different heart. but i do care about right or wrong, and what happened here? that is not okay, so i'm here to help." he does not, however, bring u p or discuss the possibility his nephew might've played a part in it.
denny is seen again at the end of the episode, wearing a (white) gi for the first time while the show must go on is playing. he is engaging in the miyagi-do lesson on a 'one time only, because you were here' type invite.
