Are you an easily excitable person, Johnny? It’s not a bad thing, please do not take the inquiry as such. Anyway, fireflies are quite beautiful, if a bit annoying. Sweets are an uncommon thing in my life but I do cherish them. I’m not quite sure what to say about midnight skies, however. While space itself is an amazing beauty, midnight skies are a bit lost on me. Too normalized.

Oh, this kid wasn’t creepy in the least. In John’s defense, not only was he busy reading while walking, but his contacts weren’t really his type. He’d lost his glasses, leaving him to deal with the small - and very annoying, moments of blur. “It’s just cake-” but, that’s rude to say. He knows that. Not all people can claim to be basically allergic to sweets like himself. “… I could clean it up, if you want.”

There’s no doubt about it. "It is all your fault.“ Despite the large smile the blonde is wearing, his tone has a hint of malice to it that perhaps make him come off a tad bit eerie. "I mean, honestly dude, do you not pay any attention? I even tried to swerve around you and still you bumped right into me hard enough to let hours of hard work go to waste.” He gestures to the cake that had spilled from his hands onto the floor below them. Honestly he wouldn’t have been mad if he’d gotten at least one bite out of it. But no, he was attempting to save it for later and as a consequence of his–no, no, of the other’s–actions, he’d never be able to try it out. Or at the very least he’ll have to spend hours more to remake it and that was just such a downer.

     A hint of a smile remains on John’s lips while he speaks, yet it doesn’t reach his eyes. The smile is hallow, empty, as if it’s only a mask. And in some ways it is and John knows that it is. He knows that he’ll always smile even if he wants nothing more in the world than to frown. It’s just how he is now. It’s how he’s wired and he doesn’t want to talk about feelings because he also knows what he says rings nothing if not the truth. He’s happy by default and that makes him apathetic toward everything else. Or at least that’s what he’s come to assume.
