After a full weekend of rain and snow, who’s hoping for some sunshine in the great outdoors? DUAC for sure is! We still have spots for our backpacking trip this weekend ($50/60)! Moab Multisport 4/8-4/10
It’s back! A DU Alpine Club classic has returned as we are headed back to MOAB! If you’ve never been then you definitely won’t want to miss out on your chance to hike, bike, and climb in an absolutely surreal location. Grab a spot on this trip to hike Arches National park, mountain bike down some world renowned trails, or rock climb among the huge red canyon walls all just a small part of what’s offered for the fun in
Sand Dunes 4/15-4/17
This place is crazy. Imagine a giant sandbox with the highest point of it reaching 800ft, perfectly framed by 14er Mt. Blanca and the surrounding white-capped mountains of Southern Colorado. Come for a weekend of camping, sand sledding (if you have one!), and serious exploration of the Great Sand Dunes National Park and the zones around it. If you haven’t made it here yet, let DUAC show you the way!
Shelf Road 4/22-4/23
A Friday night trip to a pretty sick climbing spot! This one night climbing trip is perfect for those that want to be back on campus Sunday but want the chance to camp and climb in one of CO’s most fun climbing areas!
Day Hike 4/24
Ever wanted to hike a 14’er? Then come out and grab your spot for our Day Hike as we set out to conquer one of Colorado’s many towering peaks. Come out and get some fresh air for the day along with some pretty “average” views of the Colorado Rockies. Definitely a day hike you won’t want to miss!
Backpacking 5/6- 5/8
Once again DUAC is grabbing their packs and headed into the forest for a weekend of living on your feet and exploring nature. That’s right, backpacking has returned and this year we are headed West to explore the area near Glenwood Canyon (Pending snow pack). So get your backpacks ready and come out to our weekend backpacking trip May 5-8. It’s going to be epic!
Lander 5/13-5/15
We missed it last spring but we’ve got our fingers crossed for this spring. That’s right we are headed back to the climbing mecca of Lander, Wyoming! Only change this year is we’ve scheduled the trip a little later for a higher likelihood of sunshine and clear skies - We Like to think climbing in the sun is a bit more fun and enjoyable than the snow. So if you’re the type of person that likes to do some awesome rock climbing or still want to learn then come on out for the Lander trip because it’s truely got a little something for everyone. And if climbing’s not quite your style don’t worry, the biking and hiking in Lander is just as awesome. “Did I hear someone say Waterslide……?”
Fruita 5/20-5/22
Do you like to boulder, mountain bike, or both?? As a new DUAC trip that we are super stoked for, Fruita will give you the opportunity to have some fun before finals and the end of the school year!

We had an unreal time skiing and ice climbing in Telluride this past weekend! Thanks to all who came on the trip! It’s about that time to start school again…which means the reveal of our Winter Trips! We’ve got a lot of awesome trips, some of our classic favorites, and some new trips to rad places as well. We are still working on the prices (making sure you are getting the biggest bang for your buck) but check out our Winter Trips and get stoked for some El Nino pow and lots of rad adventures!
Winter Kickoff (1/5/2016)
We're stoked that our friends from Colorado Mountain School will be joining us and giving a presentation on how to stay safe in avalanche terrain. If you're a backcountry pro or just want to learn what the backcountry is all about this is an awesome and FREE opportunity to brush up on your avalanche knowledge and make sure you and your friends stay safe this winter.

Avy 1 (1/22-1/24)
Avy 1 is the perfect opportunity to learn more about making safe decisions in the backcountry, in the most fun way possible! Get certified in an entry level Avalanche certification from the American Institute of Avalanche Research. This is an awesome opportunity for those that shred hard and want to ensure they are prepared for any situation in the backcountry or that want to start there venture into the untamed terrain!
Telluride/ Ouray (2/5-2/7)
A DUAC favorite! Get the chance to visit two of the most spectacular outdoor areas in Colorado. Learn to ice climb with the professionals in Ouray (and look and feel like an all-time badass) as well as ski the epic terrain at Telluride. You sure won’t want to miss this trip!
Snowshoe (2/13)
Twas the day before Valentine’s Day…and the Alpine Club trotted across the snow under a moonlit sky. That’s right, DUAC will be taking a romantic moonlit snowshoeing adventure just in time for you to woo that special someone! Don’t have a special someone? Then don’t worry, just come out and enjoy nature in the light of the moon. It’s sure to be a great time with whoever comes along!
Dogsled (2/14)
Want to spend a day with the fluffiest, most badass dogs out there? Come dogsledding with the Alpine Club where you will learn to mush like a pro. Who wouldn’t want to spend a day with a bunch of beautiful huskies?
Silverton / Wolf Creek (2/19-2/21)
The most epic terrain and the most epic powder all combined into one awesome weekend with the Alpine Club. Spend a day with our friends and guides at Silverton, get the chance to heli-ski, and hike to some of the best and steepest terrain Colorado has to offer. Then spend the next day crushing tree runs and powder at Wolf Creek. It’s sure to be one of the best weekends of the Winter Quarter!
Aspen (2/26-28)
This year we bring to you a brand new trip! The Alpine Club is stoked to announce that we will be heading to Aspen! Home of the X-Games and some super awesome skiing, the Aspen trip is sure to be one for the books.
Jackson Hole (Spring Break 3/14-20)
Spend a week in one of the best ski towns in North America! The terrain is steep, the snow is sick, and Jackson Hole is the place to be if you like spending your days sending it hard on the mountain and the nights sending it hard at Jackson’s awesome town!
