“So it’s home office day and I have to write about last night’s match but how can I write good stuff about something I didn’t enjoy? That was the worst soccer match ever.”

“I don’t even know how you stand to watch and pay attention to any sports.”

 “Ew. Is that why you called me over here?” Toby wrinkled his nose up at the girl in her bed from where he stood beside it. “Do you need me to go get you some medicine or something?” He leaned over her and touched his hand to her forehead.

Kelsey furrowed her eyebrows when he acted like he was disgusted. “No, and if you don’t want to be here then leave. I thought maybe you would make me feel better, obviously that was the wrong idea.”  

 “Hopefully not. How long have you been sick?”

“It just kinda hit me today when I was at work. So I left and here I am trying to stomach something. ”

 “Well, as far as you’re concerned I’m old enough. Although, I wasn’t aware there was an age limit on walking around after 10pm.”

“There is curfew for under age people.”

 “Yeah, my life and quiet don’t seem to go hand in hand together. But I don’t mind, until I can’t concentrate.” She laughed softly, “The library is a good idea, actually. I’ll check that out. Do you know when public libraries close?”

“Not trying to sound rude or anything, but uh- why’re you looking at me like that? I know I’m short but still.”

“Two questions; One, who has ice cream? And two, who’s alright with sharing with me?”

“I actually just ate the last of it. You should have caught me like ten minutes ago.”
