Because it's so vibe based. The scriptwriting feels catered to the fans of the FL who wants to see their jiejie playing Mary Sue-perfect type characters with Iron Man level plot armor dramatically staring at the camera in slow mo than ... actual plotting. What have the character done to actually warrant the title? Nothing.

Like the epitome of the big female lead drama is legend of zhen huan and Minglan. But what's so special about those 2 dramas are that they let their leads fail. Zhen Huan falls, multiple times. Minglan had to work through many layers of childhood trauma. Neither gave them Boss Level fighting abilities.

So yes, maybe the current way they're filming allows fans to make cuts on Douyin, but it's just empty.

this whole bathroom debate is stupid, because the problem isn't PEOPLE, it's companies and institutions that don't wanna do the right thing and put in more bathrooms, and so they turn the argument towards the ppl using the bathrooms.

this really isn't a difficult solve. literally just give ppl options.

in the new admin building that my hospital made, where the bathrooms are, there are 3 different options: multi stall "women's" bathroom with 4 stalls and includes accessibility features, multi stall "men's bathroom" (which i've never been inside so idk what's inside), and 3 spacious private bathrooms with accessibility features.

i could fully use the multi stall women's bathroom, but i just ....don't. because i like to take a shit in peace. that's it. literally nobody has issues, and we do have trans and non-binary staff members. because guess what? there are options! and if on the rare rare rare occasion all 3 single private bathrooms are full, you can go to the floor above and below and they have the exact same design, the bathrooms are right beside the stairs and elevators.

This really isn't a problem. If it IS a problem. It's a problem of MONEY and POWER, as in the higher ups just refuse to provide us with what we're owed, so they turn us against each other.

Okay, the positives: Ci Sha and Ren Min's acting and chemistry. I also did personally love the set and the coloring of the drama, especially how the director(s) were not afraid of rich colors. My favorite costume has to be that navy blue and pink.

The negatives: YX story aside, the fundamental issue is just the lack of coherency. The political plot was incoherent, which is often the case of a courtyard drama (I adore Minglan, but I do think the weakest part of its writing was the political writing) and that is fine if the courtyard drama is done well. Except, the courtyard writing isn't done well either. And somehow, every single veteran actor managed to have an off day.
