It was around 5 AM of the day after it was officially announced that the Killing Game had begun. Only two students were up at that time, Gundham and Mikan. Both saw each other, and they decided to walk around the school together.
5:30 AM, Hallway
After a while of walking, Gundham could easily feel the fear and anxiety of the killing game weighing in on Mikan, so, he just told her to go back to bed and that she'll think more clearly if she got a bit more sleep. Mikan took his advice, and she went back to her dorm, and now, Gundham was alone...
...Or so he thought.
6:00 AM, Laundry Room
Gundham was in the laundry room, now washing his hands at the sink, as he felt uneasy, like he was being watched...
Suddenly, [REDACTED] came into the room, upset. They confronted Gundham about his uncaring attitude towards the killing game, saying, "Why can't you take this killing game more seriously?! Everyone's lives are at STAKE!"
Gundham merely responded with, "Why should I? It's not like we'll remember each other after Hope's Peak anyways. It doesn't matter at all."
This just made [REDACTED] even angrier. Their anger got the best of them and... suddenly, Gundham felt hands around his neck, as well as his oxygen levels being cut off. Though... he didn't fight back. He knew this was coming for a while, so he didn't fight back. This only lasted for a few seconds as [REDACTED] regained consciousness and immediately let him go, bursting into apologies.
Though, he wasn't mad, just solemn. He looked at [REDACTED] in the eyes and said, "[REDACTED], I know what you were trying to do. Just go back to bed. You clearly aren't in the right state of mind."
Gundham turned to look at himself in the mirror. [REDACTED] was considering Gundham's words. Maybe he was right, they weren't thinking clearly right now...
But their desperation to escape overpowered their morals.
So, they suddenly pushed his head in the still-running sink with water in it and kept it under until he stopped moving...
7:00 AM, Cafeteria
Now, every student was awake and sitting at the table, except for Gundham.
"Where's Gundham?" Kaede piped up with, turning all attention to her.
Hajime leaned back in his chair and responded with, "Like hell if I know. He's probably still in his dorm, sleeping or some shit like that."
Byakuya put his finger onto his chin, thinking. After a while, he spoke. "Monokuma doesn't allow people to oversleep. He said it yesterday, I believe."
Now, everyone was concerned. Mahiru stood up, a firm look on her face. "Alright guys! We have to find Gundham to make sure he's okay! Celestia, Sayaka, Byakuya, Chiaki, Hajime, Nagito, Kaede, and Kiibo, you guys look in the West Hallway! The rest of us will look in the East Hallway!"
Everyone agreed, and they all went to look for Gundham. After a while, Celestia, Sayaka, Byakuya, Chiaki, Hajime, Nagito, Kiibo, and Kaede found him in the Laundry Room, near the sink... or what was left of him at least.
Before even realizing it, Chiaki let out a loud scream. This caused the other seven students to run into the bathroom, causing everyone to see Gundham's body. A lot of students were freaking out, some even on the verge of tears.
Celestia turned to her classmates, "Guys, we have to-"
She was suddenly cut off by the announcements, it was Monokuma's voice, announcing that Gundham's body had been discovered, and that it's time for a Class Trial.
No one had a choice.
They all ran out of the Laundry Room, and to the gymnasium, where Monokuma was.

Extra notes: His face was slightly blue, and his head and some of his chest were drenched in water, along with some scratches and finger marks around his neck, meaning he was either strangled or was drowned, most likely both
