This stunning man promised me he would definitely remember me and my dreadlocks when I get to MinnCon. In a few days I get to test his memory. I wonder if I'm still the bearer of he and Timothy's favourite hair? 💁

Going on a lunch date with this dude when I get to America. He's taking me to one of his favourite vegan restaurants and then around LA. My holiday just got a whole lot more awesome 👌

Someone asked me the other day, as sincere as I've ever heard anyone ask: "do you love your dreads? Like... do you really love them?", and it brought up something I've known for a while but never really delved in to too much. Yes. I do absolutely love my dreads. I am someone who, when things are out of my control, tend to freak out a little bit, sometimes a lot. As stupid as this may sound to some people, having dreads has taught me that I need to relax more and just let things take whatever course it's going to take and just accept there's nothing I can do, so why bother worrying about it? Dreadlocks will mature and change and do things and look certain ways that I might not like, but that's life. I can try to control them to the best of my ability, but there comes a point where I just have to look at that "rebel dread" (as I call them) and accept that it's gonna be lumpy or stick out more than the rest and just let it be. I try to take that lesson and apply it to other areas of my life. If I can let something as important as my appearance just do its own thing, I should be able to let less important issues just unfold however they please. It's a weird and wonderful journey, what fun is it if I try to make everything the way I want it to be?
