i’m going to leave the blog up in case anyone wants to go through and save any of my art/posts/links they particularly enjoyed (just please don’t repost them), and if it gets purged it gets purged, but yeah. i’ve been on this hellsite for 8ish years, the art blog has been up for 6, and it’s never been perfect but this has been a Sign for me that staying out of spite and habit is just not worth the energy anymore.

it really is a shame cos i JUST broke 1300 followers yesterday. but as i was telling my wife, at least i’m not as bad off as the people who will undoubtedly be losing their regular income and followers through this. that’s why i emphasized so hard that if people want to support and see that work flourish, we all need to follow them where they go and make sure to do better about standing up to websites when we notice anything amiss (and listen to people when those things are brought up in concern!)

in light of this self-congratulatory Think Of The Children campaign that is every bit as transparent as every other website targeting n/sf/w content creators ever, i think it’s just fuckin time to bite the bullet.

you’ll probably not even see this post depending on how the filters are working (or not in this case because actually doing your job and filtering content properly before it hits critical mass is too hard so better to shut it all down) but yeah. it sucks because i feel like i was finally getting somewhere with this blog, but more importantly my ability to make money off my art, which at this point is really the only skill i have and am able to do in terms of what my health will allow. but if you do, i implore you if you want to see any more of my art, or anyone else’s, follow them where they go.

switching platforms is annoying. trust me i know. i hate twitter but it’s my only viable option right now, and it probably won’t be in another few years when this inevitably happens again. because companies looooove to profit off all the ad revenue and traffic they get through their ns/fw users, but hate that we exist at all to sully up their precious websites with our filth or whatever the fuck. i was lucky to squeeze in what commissions i could this go round before shit hit the fan i guess, and i will still finish those! but it took me almost 6 and a half years to build up the following i have now, and at least 20% of that was just in the last year. that may not sound like a lot but it is, and as for steady income, i’m screwed. not even because i do a lot of adult commission work (quite the contrary) but because the 2% of adult work i DO create, i and others like me are marked.

to be perfectly honest....lips aren't even the main problem. till this day ive seen like..2 artists at best actually making Eddie recognizable in fanart,im sorry but....it's true....we need inception fandom to help us out or something
